I have a Windows RT tablet. I would like to develop a new virtual keyboard working with Metro apps. I need to change standard keyboard layout and the size of the keys. Any idea?

There're many programs allowing you to change the virtual keyboard layout. Some of them allows you even edit the layout yourself to make it more comfy. However, when you try to type from the Hermes's hardware keyboard it's always using the original layout's characters. Is there any way to solve this problem?
Or where I can find docs and examples for writing the keyboard driver?

You might want to check out Buzzdev.net as well. Some recent efforts to rewrite the universal's driver.

Is there a way to make the keyboard layout in Window Mobile 6 bigger? I have switched the layout icon in the keyboard setting to large, but I need it bigger for finger typing. The screen size of the Shift is perfect to have a virtual keyboard working; it would cut down on the wear and tear of sliding the keyboard tray every time in slate mode.

You might like one of the many full screen keyboards which are available, check the forum search or google. If you've installed RealVGA, you'll need a VGA version of the keyboard.
I was wondering if the layout could be mod to make it bigger instead of installing third party software. I am currently trying out the Resco Keyboard Pro and it's a great software.

I like HTC Touch 2 (using for past 1 week, win 6.5)..
Only thing I miss is the default windows qwerty keyboard!!
Though it is small, i type faster than the htc's custom keyboards!
Also, htc keyboards takes nearly half screen, which is odd for particular apps where the password box is at below the halfscreen (like facebook app from windows marketplace!)
Is there any settings changes or registry key addition such that it enables the windows default keyboard Or can anyone share the CAB file?
I'm agree with you. I like to know if there is any chance of installing the default keyboard, the others sucks!

on wm side i use shell keyboard i have setted it to 2 languages there is a key which allows me to switch to other language which is very useful .can i do this with vista on screen keyboard .i use arabic and english

I just discovered that you can tick this on any Vista laptop, so I can use the super tablet keyboaard on my Vista PPremium laptop.
