There are a lot of complaints on Google's android support forum regarding this issue. At least one person solved it by wiping their phone, but that's apparently not a cure for everyone. Apparently this is a known issue, and as usual, Google is not being helpful.
I'm having the same problem with picasa sync. I tried with Hard reset but no luck it still showing error and not syncing with picasa album. all other google services are working fine.

I was having the same problem - It was only grabbing a few old albums of mine and not syncing the newer albums from my Picasa Web Albums - I was so frustrated! But after careful examination, I noticed my wife's Picasa account was the one logged in on the Picasa desktop app, so consequently, it synced all the photos to her web albums and not mine. So I logged out of hers, logged into mine, synced to my web albums, and instantly all my pictures synced to my N1. Hope that helps anybody else having this problem.

it does'nt make sense... you just logged out of your wife's account from YOUR nexus one?
But all of us are having problem for not being able to sync the picasa album at all with our own account...
So what you are saying is that we need to log in onto computer from our account and then the phone should be able to sync the album to N1 while we are logged onto computer ?
please update us with more detailed instructions .. it will be very helpful if you can be more precise
i too am unable to sync with picasa. This is mainly because I created the picasa account after registering the phone and signing in. Using the Cyanogen Recovery image and wiping the phone right now to see if that fixes my issue.
Ill update if it did.
Yup confirmed...
I am running CM 5.0 Beta 5 and doing the Settings > Privacy > Factory Reset doesn't work.. I had to boot into the Recovery Image and do a full wipe of dalvik-cache as well as system wipe.
I just lost all my apps and have to redownload everything however Picasa sync is now showing up for me.
For many people this problem seems to be because they have an @googlemail.com account (even if you sign in with @gmail, the server knows that @googlemail is canonical). A bug has been filed: http://b.android.com/6431
If you look in comments 1 and 2 of that bug, you'll see support forums where Google stated on 19th January that they're aware of the bug and working on it. I have proved that for me in particular it is definitely because of @googlemail, see comment 4 of the bug.
I've always had issues with htcfacebook only syncing half my contacts and then either taking a week to finish or not at all. is there any other app thats syncs facebook to phone contacts or a way to force the htc app to do it?
Thanks.
All my photos in Google+ and Picasa are synced automatically with my android gallery. Is there any way to remove google+ photos from my android gallery without disabling google+ sync from accounts and settings?....also in account and settings there is a sync option with picssa without having any photos in web picassa
I am also looking for an answer to this.....
My solution....Quic Pic
It is so much better then the 3D Gallery anyway, I can't believe how much faster it is!
In the Google + settings on Android phones there is an OPTION for INSTANT UPLOAD try unchecking that and see if it works
Hi
I was just wondering how I can sync my facebook events to my nexus. I am able to do this on my HTC Desire HD and it displays all facebook events and birthdays etc on my calender. However my nexus just doesnt sync it all??
Anyone know why and how I can sync it??
Hi Guys,
I have a bit of a strange question, but it's been bugging me for days.
I use Picasa and Google+ to organise my thousands of photos.
When I take photos on my camera, I'll upload them onto my laptop, organise them in Picasa and then sync to web so that the album appears as a Google+ album. If I then later add any photos from my phone to the album (auto-uploaded from my Nexus 4) they automatically get synced to my Picasa album on my laptop. Everything works perfectly.
However, should I create a Google+ album directly from my auto-uploaded photos from my Nexus 4 i.e. I don't have any photos on my camera so don't use Picasa to organise anything. How do I get the new album to sync to Picasa so I can view it on my laptop and see it with the rest of my photos offline?
Does anyone have a solution?
Thanks in advance!
I personally do not use the desktop application, but version 3.9 of Picasa is supposed to transition support over to Google+ in place of Picasa Web Albums. Is your installation of Picasa fully updated?
Yes it's up to date and doesn't use picasa web albums i.e. it sync with my google+ albums.
However the problem is if I add a new album in Google+ from my autobackup pictures, it doesn't sync with my desktop version of Picasa

Hmmm, I can see how this is annoying. As a potential workaround en route to a Google resolution, you might first try creating an album in Picasa on your desktop, setting up for Sync to Picasa Web/Google+ and then moving pictures from Google+ Autobackup to that newly created album. See if it syncs then. Just trying to determine if the issue is with sync or creating an album on Google+ first.
ignore.. see below
Thanks for your help, but I FINALLY figured out a solution (with the help of another forum):
Launch the Picasa application on your computer. In the File menu, choose "Import from Web Albums..." Leave the "Import all albums not currently on this computer (Uncheck to choose manually)" check box checked and select "OK." If you have a large number of files stored in your Picasa Web albums account, be prepared to wait a little while as your entire account downloads. Note that Picasa will not download duplicate files onto your computer.
Hope this helps others
