Need help!! - Galaxy Y GT-S5360 and Duos 6102 Q&A, Help & Troubl

So i bought this phone.... And it didn't suffice my needs..
So i googled and found XDA...
I found things about kernels, tweaks like v6 supercharger etc.. And thought of applying them to my phone...
So i installed merruk kernel and v6 supercharger...
Didnt notice any difference though..
But was happy that i applied them
And then I gazed upon the roms....
I installed the ICS jelly beamv3 over merruk....(deleted boot. img from zip)
And bricked the phone(bootloops) ...
I couldn't believe for a moment..
Then i tried restoring my nandroid backup...
It didnt work too...
So i used odin to flash only the pda file(to fix kernel) ..
It worked then... My phone booted...
Then i uninstalled the kernel and the v6 supercharger..
Installed the ics jelly bean again..
Now it just shows boot logo(black screen with model number written)
Can you guys help me point out the problem...
I really want this rom..

There was answers to your question.. see above..
Anyway.. what you need to do is simple
Flash full firmware update of your region by Odin..
Then follow instructions in that rom thread to install it..

If your'e NOT on Stock kernel, either
flash stock kernel, or open the
JELLYBLASTV3.signed.zip on your pc,
delete boot.img from it, and then
flash the zip. In that way, you'll be
able to use ANY kernel you already
have

U did full wipe b4 flashing new rom? Wipe dalvik cache too.
And be on layest firmware b4 flashing.
If it didnt help just flash another rom..and another kernel if u are on stock kernel.
Press thanx if i helped u!

EC03 to EC07 (Miunia Beta-4)
Looking at Miunia Beta-4 EC07. Just wanted to make sure of the process in going from EC03 to this version...all I have to do is flash this via Odin and I will be able to keep all my data, etc..? Do I need to clear caches via CWM?
And of course my next silly question...when flashing in Odin, this means putting the phone in download mode and using the PDA option ?
Any help would be appreciated...thanks!
Yes, put phone in download mode. Clear cache, system, data, dbdata, and the dalvik.
Load miunia into the pda section of Odin, and flash. This will not update the modem however, you will have to flash the modem seperate. If you give me a few hours I will make a flashable modem image, otherwise flash the modem first, then flash miunia. Sorry for any errors, I'm tweekin out at the gym, to much preworkout supps.

I can't speak to whether or not Pattielipp ever made a flashable modem, but the rom is in both the dev section and on his miunia thread. If no flashable was made, the easiest way to get the proper modem is to flash the ec07.tar from the dev section in odin. If you are on any build other than ec07, DO NOT CHECK AUTO REBOOT. Once you flash it, put your phone directly back into download mode and flash miunia.

Yes, You can restore in from CWM. But you need a nandroid backup of the firmware you need to flash in order to restore it from CWM. To create that, suppose if you have just flashed DDLE1, dont install any apps / change any settings and reboot to CWM . In that go to backup and restore and click backup. Thats it , now you have a nandroid backup of stock DDLE1. Next time, restore the same using restore option in CMW.
You need to do these steps yourself. There are very few uploaded here as odin flashing is more reliable and easy that CWM restoring.
Heres one of them if you dont want to do it yourself (It isnt exactly stock but serves the purpose) :

Its DDLE1 Btw

This is why CWM restore is not recommended. It often gets stuck on boot logo. Odin is easy and doesnt cause any problems.

we dont have any method to backup/restore kernel. savies cwm works fine but merruks sometimes failed to flash a zip file. if you have problem with merruk, the only way to revive your system is via odin.

Go to Odin/download mode.. by volume down + power + home button combo..
Then see if your counter is more than 0... if its 0 and saying Samsung official...
Then no problem.. just go to service centers.. they won't be able to discover..
But if it is more than 0 in custom bin counter.. then go to themes & app section in this forum...
And download galaxy toolbox app made by doky73 to reset counter.. and it works.. don't worry... I have done it too..
