Yeah, like App Manager I think this app is backing up the apps, but not the games saves and so on. Kinda useless, because if you have Google sync ON, everytime you reset the phone, all the apps are installed automatically.

I use TB pro like most people here.
Same here. Nothing else has as many backup/restore options I believe. And with the 'create update.zip', it's unbeatable.
TB pro backup > external sd card
The first time i flash i reseted all ky data in the internal storage! So remember people, put ur backups in some where safe or backup ur backups

Titanium Backup
Try Titanium Backup using your external SD card as backup folder.
The easiest and fastest way to backup/restore on rooted Android devices IMO.
Yep. Titanium back up is great and the free version is enough

How can I transfer apps from one android folder to another? I don't know how to explain this but suppose I wanna switch from SD to NAND, how can I transfer all my information and apps I've downloaded on SD to NAND? Sorry if this has been answered before.
You can use Titanium Backup to back up and restore your apps, another backup/restore program I've heard good things about is My Backup, but I've never used it myself. I don't think you'll be able to do the equivalent of a NANDroid backup where everything is restored just as you left it, you'll probably have to set some stuff back up, such as email accounts, homescreen layouts, etc. but at least you won't have to search the market for each app and lose your app data.

^ Thanks A lot. I'll give it a try .
I'm going from a Samsung Vibrant to a G2X. I'm just going to try the G2X for a few weeks and see if I like it. I've been using Titanium on my Samsung for some time now. Do I just copy the Titanium backup folder from my old phone's internal SD and copy to the new phone's SD? Do I move any other files?
Thanks.
That should work no problem. Just don't try to restore system apps and files to the new phone. User apps and data only. And yes all you need is the folder labeled "titanium backup".
Thanks I'll give it a try
yes just copy the titanium backup file to your new phone and download app on new phone
As long as its rooted.

I just tried this while moving from a rooted Droid 1 to rooted Droid 2, I keep getting that the restore fails. Tried various times... is there something I'm missing?
I've never worked with the Droid but I don't see why it wouldn't work. Did you move the file to the removable sd card and then move it from phone to phone or just copy it from one phone to the next with a computer?
Did a full backup with Titanium and moved sd card to the new phone. Tried to restore a few different apps and I keep getting a message that it failed.
hi .
i use titanium backup from my last galaxy tab and now i copy those back up files to my new GS2 but in titanium backup restore part show 0 files to restore !! what should i do ?
Ive also been thinking about trying out the g2x

I am curious about what is the best way to back up apps from my current Evo and restore them on another phone? I'm asking because I shattered my Evo's screen last night after a year of taking such good care of it...and through Asurion I will be receiving an Evo 3D. Sad to leave this dev community, but I will gladly take a dual core phone over my OG.
I use TB Pro to back up and restore between roms. I normally avoid Google's backup/restore app process because it takes too long over the internet, but does that service also backup the data for the apps as well? Like saving all my info in games and such. Thanks for any input
titanium backup, just be careful with what you restore on the new device (system settings for example are a no-no)
How am I going to restore apps that are on another phone with TB?

Go on the sd card of your current phone, copy it, [or use the same sd card] start up new phone, install titanium backup, then simply restore all apps+data, NOT system settings.

This. Also TB allows you to upload your backup to a dropbox account as well, no need to move the SD card but you trade speed for convenience (dropbox process takes longer since it has to upload when the backup is created then download when you restore to the new device)
And BTW OP yes TB will also backup your game data
TB is a sure way
Hello,
I rooted and installed CM10.1 on my Nook HD. Can someone please guide me to what apps I should download - to move apps to SD? What does ROM Manager do? What and do I need Titanium back-up (will the free version suffice)? Any other important utilities apps to download?
Thanks in advance.

App2SD is not enabled. Forget about ROM Manager, it will just get you into trouble. And the free TB is enough if you just want to backup and restore.

I've had a few instances where a backup saved me from hours of re-flashing, re-installing apps and having to start from scratch. I always have 2 backups on my sd card, and copies of those backups on my computer, and another set on a Verbatim usb flash drive.

I guess I like being overly cautious.
I alwayd do Nandroid once before each clean flash , occasionally before dirty flash.
I only have EFS , contacts and maybe some little more important things backed up into PC , that's it
I only kept two EFS backup (in case of) and that's all about data.
Everytime I make a fresh install of the required applications I want to restart with. (my Playstore account)
This way no risk to worry about something going wrongly.
I think I've got almost every backup I've done on my computer from all 3 smart phones I've had.
HTC legend
HTC desire hd
Galaxy S4
Possibly at least 10 backups each ?
