Hi everybody, i have a brand new galaxy tab 2.07 bought on sale for my brother. The problem is that he has a Mac at home and I can't work out how to write files on it. I downloaded android transfer, but it works only on my galaxy nexus, not on the tab. The computer tells me that he can't copy files when I drag and drop files on the folder... Any suggestions? He doesn't' have WiFi at home at the moment.

Any way to install Media Hub from the Vibrant to the tab? I tried by copying the app from my Vibrant to the external sd card then installing it on the tab but it fails. I want to be able to watch files that i download via Media Hub and watch them on tab. Any suggestions?

If you have Tmob tab, use the MediaHub was posted here before. Let me know if you can't find it.

There is no connection currently available. You need to be connected to the internet to view the Media Hub application for the first time. "Retry" "Cancel"
any suggestions?
EDIT: after an endless search i finally found my answer here" http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=909058&highlight=MediaHub.

Hi,
I am trying to load MediaHub unto my galaxy P1000. It is the international version and did not come with Mediahub pre-installed.
Can someone please help me?
I hav etried downloading a mediahub.zip file I found and it loads the app but does not end up connecting to the mediahub servers and so you cannot see any movie information.
All help will be greatly appreciated.

to get AD-Hoc working you first need root and either root explorer (paid app but worth the money) or es file explorer (free but you have to enable root privaleges inside the app. its under the settings menu)
1. navigate to system/bin and copy wpa_supplicant
2. past this to your sd card as a backup
3. rename wpa_supplicant to wpa_supplicant.old
4. extract the file from the download and past it into the system/bin folder. (should be wpa_supplicant)
4. Long press on the file once copied
6. select Permissions and set to User: RWE, Group & Others:RE only
again a big big thank you to the original poster/fixer the original thread is

Ad Hoc through my Windows Phone
Just followed your procedure and I am now wirelessly connected to my Samsung Omnia using WMWiFiRouter. Thanks. This alone was worth the price of admission to rooting.
sorry I'm a little down with the lingo, would this allow me to tether to my droid x using wireless tether?
Ad hoc solution did not work for me...
Followed everything to the letter - got WiFi error - would not connect or even turn on WiFi...
I renamed the old file - got rid of .old and all was back to normal...
I did notice the the Group the file belonged to was NOT the same as the old file. Going to look into that...

got the same error. Solved it by typing "chmod 755 wpa_supplicant" in a terminal emulator, so that it sets the right permissions, dont know why using root explorer didnt work for me(but i didn't follow this tutorial).
This didnt work for me with my evo,
Hmmm... I have a Thunderbolt and I'm rooted with Android Tether. My Iconia sees and latches onto my phone without having to edit the WPA supplicant files like I needed to on my Galaxy tab. Am I missing something or maybe have a rare Iconia Tab that does this where most don't?
My Iconia Tab is fully stock and not rooted.
Mine connects just fine, but browser can't find page

I use the app bluetooth file transfer, it is available on the market. I used it last night to transfer files and it worked flawlessly.

I keep getting an error that says that I some service doesn't work with the phone and that I can only upload. When I upload, it doesn't work. Perhaps the G2 doesn't support Bluetooth file transfers. Is that possible?
Do you need it installed on both devices?

Yes you have to install the app on both devices. I am not familiar with the G2 as I use it with D1 and the A500. From what I remember reading a while back the android BT is lacking on some of the stack that allows for file transfers. This app fixes it.

Just to let you know I am able to transfer files from the a500 to my Samsung galaxy and vice versa using the stock bluetooth on both devices. On the a500 I used file manager hd and selected share via bluetooth. Once they both connect the files transfer without any problems.
I think default android bluetooth filetransfer only allows certain types of files, like .jpg's and some other media.
Not 100% sure though, but I never managed to send files like apk's.
Bluetooth File Transfer worked perfectly and is actually a pretty cool app! Thanks!
Dropbox works too. I use it across my phone, tablet, and computer.

Hey all
Recently bought the S4. Previously had the Note II, needed something smaller.
I had my Note 2 rooted so had no problem opening the "Samsung Apps" as id change my location.
Due to having this new phone and for some reason Samsung not permitting my country to access Samsung Apps i need help... How can i open samsung apps and get content and stuff from there??
I tried download VPN One Click but it wasn't working.. maybe it's because it only worked for the S3?
If anybody knows a way WITHOUT rooting let me know!!
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!

Just got my Nexus yesterday and not having a smooth transition from my S3.
Heres my first question.
Where's my WidgetLocker folder ?
I connect phone to PC and open the internal storage and have looked in every folder it lists and find nothing in regards to widgetlocker. I know they are in there somewhere cos when i open widgetlocker to make changes they are available.
Thanks !

Whoa !! I swear on my grandkids that wasnt there last night.
I just hooked my phone to pc for first time today and BAM there are several more folders showing up today ( without looking in subfolders ) and there's my wl stuff !!
LMAO> I hope this is not a sign of how things are gonna work
Mtp can be a bit buggy and not update the contents of your storage when plugging into your PC.
Rebooting your phone will fix this
