i'm buying a defy plus with a problem, it is stuck in a boot cycle loop after an over the air update failed. The phone is still recognised by the PC...
is it possible to repair it?
Wipe data from stock recovery
If this doesn't work then flash a stock sbf via rsdlite

I don't have the device yet.
I ask if i can buy it and if i'll be able to unbrick it...
Inviato dal mio GT-I8150 con Tapatalk 2
I cannot give a guarantee, but 99.99% it looks to be a software issue and can be repaired

Seems like a soft brick so can be easily repaired. Flash the sbf and all done.

I hope you get your phone fixed mate. Good luck Pierfranc
Try mobile Odin from chainfire's thread here. Then download the stock rom of your choice from sammobile.com forums
If you pay for mobile Odin pro on the market you can even have the rom automatically rooted as it is flashing.

I need that file update.zip that kies automatically creates in sdcard when you update your firmware..i have no alternative (or assistance)
Inviato dal mio GT-I9000 usando Tapatalk
kies doesn't create an update.zip... it just uses the download mode to push the new firmware. so it seems like you are out of choices. it would be the best to try to clean the contacts of your phone and the cable with a cotton swab and a little bit ethyl alcohol but i am not completely sure about it. search the forum for instructions. sorry mate

How do you plan to put the update.zip with a broken USB ? And Signed Zip can only be done by Samsung.

it is not so "stable" , there are still bugs in the current CWM , for example some users (also me) cannot enter recovery mode by combination of keys .

They narrowed it down to the bootloader. Don't blame the recovery image.

What???
Why not learn youeself how to do it? I think the people working on it are doing the best they can. Complaining about it wont make it anymore stable.

Well don't be so negative, your english is hella lot better than the OP's. Can't understand a word what he's saying.
We also have TWRP if somebody doesn't like CWM, you can find it in Android development section.

but does it work? is it reliable? I see that it says that it is a test

It's an official build so I'd say yes.
I'm using it, so I think it's safe to say it's reliable.

Before installing a new cm10 build i decide to wipe all and reboot the device.
Now the defy doesn't boot, remains on Motorola red logo.
There isn't custom recovery, only stock recovery.
I'm in holiday without a pc, i have only an android tablet and a Samsung Galaxy S2.
How can i flash sbf?
Is there a way to install cwm from stock recovery like samsung devices?
Inviato dal mio GT-I9100 con Tapatalk 2
Sorry, but you can't recover your device without a computer
You must always flash immediately after wiping system

Because boot loader is locked. If you try installing a custom recovery via stock recovery it will fail signature verification

Already do, but don't fixbthe problem

CM 10.2

I resolved!!!
I have changed the video codifier from high to medium, and it works!!

Never had any problems with video in 10.2. Have you thought about flashing rom again (it's harmless without wiping anything). Weird problem
Can you provide more details? This workaround isn't legit
Solved

I have unintentionally deleted very important pictures from phone's internal memory. Is there anyway to recover it without root.

It's impossible to recover, if you have Google signed in your phone, your picture would be at Google+
