xda mini s help required quick please

i recently jsut received new xda mini s from insurance company after i broke last one, i cant make a claim within 6 months so i need help, i was setting up software last nite after clickin corparate mode and after i installed pocket controller i run the software on xda and clicked video settins and trest and now the xda has crashed and wont load past the operator screen do you know how i can resolve this prob
phone has been on for 22 hours now, shall i jsut drain the battery down some how and install it all agaain, i ahve tried hard resetting it that dont work and have tried soft erst that dosent do anythin
please help thanks

What method of hard resetting did you try?
If hard reset does not work get to the bootloader screen (multicolored) by holding down camera button and preset reset button.
You can then reflash your rom - does not have to be activesynced to do this - as long as you have a small 'usb' on bottom left of bootloader screen when connected to pc it should work.
I guess this is the rom thats already on your device ftp://[email protected]/Wizard/Roms/o2/Xda_Minis_Upgrade_v2.21.4.101.exe

whats the boot loader screen, all the phone loads upto is the bit before windows mobile shows when you first turn it on
comes up with 02 logo, jsut tried tgettin bootloader up does fone have 2 b off or on

Turn phone off - then press camera button and hold - press power on button whilst still holding camera button. Bootloader screen should come up (multicolored)

right so far i can do all the stuff u said what do i do once i have got the usb bit in the bottom left hand corner

Just download the rom mentioned above - connect device to computer (does not have to activesynced) and run the rom intaller and the rom will install.

50mb or so, shall take a while to download :wink:

and once that has finished do i just install it and that will flash the rom will it and the phone will work again yeah

The rom install usually takes 10 mins or so - dont worry it usually stalls a while around the 70-80% mark a while - just wait and be patient until its 100%. It will return to factory condition so all your data will be lost i am afraid. If you have synced with outlook before your pim info can be restored from there.

i was only jsut settin it back up anyway and it didnt work just now the update but it dont the error revoery adn its working again done 75 so far

Just tried to upgrade my XDA mini to this new ROM (v2.21.4.101). Everything seemed to be going swimmingly - I installed the ROM and the thing booted up ok. I then did a soft reset before all the o2 stuff installed. I then went to do a restore (having previously backed up using spb backup) and it almost completed but then the mini s rebooted itself again.
Ever since, it will only get as far as a page which has most of the bar at the top of the screen (the signal strength icon, battery strength and GPRS indicator are all there), but not the start button. Underneath that is just a blue screen with the Windows Mobile logo. The backlight will come on if I press any of the buttons but otherwise it is not responding.
I've tried holding down the camera button and pressing the on/off button and also camera button and the reset button, but neither of them seem to do anything.
I've tried reinstalling the rom from the PC but it says it can't find my device.
Rather bizarrely, if I call myself from another phone, the device rings and says incoming call, so the thing obviously isn't totally dead.
What can I do to sort this out?

Shadow Problem need help

I am having a problem with the Erofich 6.1 rom.
I was having problems with this rom cause the "Airplane," Mode would toggle off and on and I wouldnt be able to call out...heck I couldnt even see the contacts anymore. So I came home got on and wrote down the problem, someone said to reupload the rom to the phone and I was in the process of doing that when I had to go to the restroom . Well thinking it would just go according to play I went and when I came back I saw my phone was still in the white screen and my computer said
" Get new updated rom"
Then I had to exit out and since it was still in the white screen I just decided well crap let me put on a different rom so I put on the "Clean dev 1.1" well it went to 40% and said an error , my phone restarted in the 3 colored state so i tried to get it back to the white screen....did it again but this time it said "Image corrupt," Restarted my phone and now it just freezes on the "Windows Mobile Beta 1.1" screen and goes nowhere .
That is my predicament and I need help.
I have already tried to hard reset and it does nothing and I cant get the phone to the white screen to upload a new rom because active sync wont find the phone, I have almost given up hope but decided to ask at here as a last ditch hope that someone can help me .....Thanks.

Remove battery, than put it back. Restart phone into bootloader mode(tri collors screen; camera button+power button) connect usb cabel into a phone and run official T-Mobile rom update.

where would I get this rom update? I remember going through some threads and saw the offical rom but cant remember which one care to help?
Nevermind I searched and found it , I just updated and it actually WORKED! THANK YOU!! I owe you man , I was actually thinking about buying a new phone today when I came back and asked and it worked thanks man!!

So i think ive bricked my iMate Jasjam but im not 100% sure spent hours reading...

Although this is my first post i have been reading and reading up about my iMate Jasjam and all of the other stuff that goes with it... Now whats happened is ive gotten this phone/pda for nothing with a sound issue that ive now fixed , it was running a rom with windows mobile 6.5. It was fine for almost 4 days but out of nowhere it wouldn't come out of idle or sleep mode where the screen is black and you just tap the power button to wake it. So i turned the phone off and on and managed to get it to boot into windows mobile but it froze, after this it wouldn;t go past teh load screen. I then removed memory card , battery and sim , still no boot afterwards... I then attempted to use the SD card to boot an original rom onto the phone but it comes up with "loading" for a few seconds and then just sits in the tricoloured screen and won;t budge.
Unfortunatly it appears the phones never had the hardspl done on it so if i can revive him ill definatly do this so it doesn't happen again... If i turn the phone on now it just hangs on the first load screen , ive still got GSM but im not very able with utilising the table to solve my problem... i was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the best way to try and revive it! it's a great little phone and i was using it heaps and heaps , had and did everything i wanted and would be such a shame to see it go as i got it for nothing, repaired it etc..

You could try a hard reset, hold both "soft keys" (above windows and ok keys) while hitting reset, then the "R" on the slide out keyboard then space.
You should also be able to flash it from boot loader. Hold the power and side ok buttons while hitting reset, and you should end up in the tri colored boot loader, flash the at&t stripped rom from there (found in my sig below).
Then you can load hardspl. Then you should be ready for some flashing. Just make sure to flash the stripped rom between the custom cooked roms, it will straighten out odd memory issues (no need to let the stripped rom configure, it seems just flashing it is enough).

Stick together screen stuck!

I bought HTC HD2 TMOBILE from ebay and got it delivered yesterday. When i checked the phone it was working fine and it was a locked piece. Today morning i got the unlock code and the phone started working fine. I was just going through the features and checked the setting and stuff. Suddenly in 15-20 mins the phone restarted itself to the white pink screen of stick together. I thought its normal and gave it like 10-15mins to boot. Nothing happened. Had to take off the battery and tried booting it n still no response. I did a hard reset. Still the white n pink screen forced me to see the lame stick together msg. after a few resets the phones booted up and gave me the windows first time usage screen. I set it up and then bam! again it restarted to the stick together screen. i noticed tht it doesnt even shows the rom etc etc info on tht screen like it used to the first time.
Steps i have already tried...and none worked
1) hard reset
2) soft reset
3) reset with no sim mem card
4) flash tmobile latest rom from their own website ( tht screwed things even more as update failed at 8% and then the stick together screen disappeared and SOFTWARE UPDATE FAILED screen poped up )
5) Tried the HSPL3 to changed it to 2.08 HSPL ( tht got the stick together screen and nothing else )
6) flashed custom rom ( after multiple attempts it allowed me to complete update and after successful update the stick together screen appeared )
7) now i have reverted back to 2.08 thru hspl3. got back the stick together screen.
What can be done and why did this happen when i was just checking the settings?
IMPORTANTLY how can i fix this...

Check the battery contacts. My friend had a similar thing where only the wirth boot screen showed and it ended up being the battery contacts.

This is a very common occurence on this phone...the little gold pins get bent easily and the constant rebooting is one of the main symptoms when that happens.

hmmmmmmmmmm i will try tht now... was keeping myself away from it as it has already eaten up half of my only holiday in this week...

my girlfriend thought she bricked her phone cuz it was stuck on the stick together screen......see was about to try to flash thr original stock rom when i happened upon this post and it saved us alot of time ......so i just want to say thank you so much

Need help. Focus stuck on Splash screen for hours

Hello I have a Samsung Focus Rev. 1.3 branded AT&T I'm trying to get working again. The battery was dead and it wouldn't come on. I finally got it to take a charge but all it would do was show the Samsung screen. I am an Android guy and this is the first Windows phone I have worked with. I started reading the forums and installed Magldr with no problems. I have an x64 PC and finally found all the correct drivers for this phone. I have tried installing the factory AT&T UCJK2 Firmware but the phone never gets off of the Samsung logo. The Rogers ROM does the same thing. I tried the Clean ROM V1.3,3.05 and 3.10 with similiar results. The installs go smoothly with no errors and I clear the storage afterwards like it instructs. I have tried most of the ROMS in this forum for 1.3 and either the screen blinks or stays stuck on Samsung. The only one that has worked is the is the Dynamics 2.2 and it took 4-5 hours to get to the blue Windows Phone screen. It stays like this for hours. It started one time with the clock screen but when you slide it up there is nothing behind it but a black screen with a battery icon at the top and no a no sim icon. I think the phone must have a hardware fault but maybe there is something I'm missing that it needs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
