Hi
Can some one port the flyme os from the latest mexiu mx 2 to nexus 4 ?
if we can get it on nexus 4 it will we awesome since the flyme os is a hybrid between iOS and andorid and it's looks really great.
You mean miui?
Edit: just looked it up and apparently they're different, thought they were the same.

It looks nice !!
I too am really interested in seeing Flyme OS on our Nexus 4. I had contacted a developer that had worked on Flyme OS and he explained that we would have to wait for a Android 4.2 version of Flyme OS.
Flyme OS was already ported to the Galaxy S2... Too bad I moved on. hehe. I doubt it'll be very complicated to do once a 4.2 version is out...
Aw, i want it to much! Dreaming about Flyme on my Nexus 4 after using MX2. Hope, it will be ported some day...
I hope someday to have a rом or port for us too

Without them releasing the kernel source so devs can get things working I doubt you will see it ported.
Bat cave One
I ported it to Nexus 5 actually.
It booted and everything except Wi-Fi, Camera and sound was working.
So once those issues are fixed, someone should be able to use it as a base for Nexus 4 port.

[TEST] AOSP-4.1 for future MIUI-Patchrom
miui has to be ported to android 4.2.x, so it wont be until thats done first.
According to the "Script Gatekeeper" of miuiandroid.com, iBotPeaches, Nexus 4 will get MIUI.
Now we play the waiting game.

It will come out, but MIUI is focusing on the xiaomi phone instead, which is reasonable.
also we have chameleon OS coming along soon, its still in development. its fairly similar to miui with all the theming and stuff. its being created by one of the best miui devs in the us, |0xD34D|. he posts abunch of stuff about it on twitter

I'm also impatiently waiting!!!
I can't wait for MIUI 4.2! My Arc couldn't handle MIUI but this ROM won't stand a chance against my blazing fast N4!
Looks like MIUI V5 is coming next week : http://miuiandroid.com/community/threads/miuiv5-for-xiaomi-mi-2-coming-next-friday-3-3-1.19655/
Hey MIUIers,
MIUI 3.2.22 will be the last dev version of MIUI V4. Just like MIUI 2.3, MIUI V4 will become history.
If eveything goes well, MIUI V5 for Xiaomi MI-2 will be released next Friday, 1st March!!
MIUI V5 for other devices with MIUI 4.1 will be released in late March or early April.
All MIUIv4 ICS devices will be dropped...
ONLY devices with official stock JB firmware will get MIUIv5...
Does this mean they will release a version for Nexus 4 or does it have to be ported first by the community?
I have been waiting for MIUI to come to Nexus 4 since I bought it in the first wave of units in november.
As far as I can tell it will be based on Android 4.1.X and not on 4.2.X right?
MIUIIIII
Its coming next week
afaik miui v5 is only for 4.2.x devices

i like choice, and miui is great if you get bored flashing basically the same aosp based roms over and over. also, i ran miui for like 2 months on my gs2, which is very long for me, and i miss it
I'm on Xylon right now and I really love the Miui UI, element which I give a lot of importance in a ROM. This MIUI v5 got a so sweet UI... worth a flash.

Guys a good news
Miuiv5 was released today for mi-2 but the sources are available on github......
For anyone who wants to port it
I don't think all the sources are there. At least not for v4. Give it a few weeks and miui will release a polished port

Ahh, big words big guy, but true say. Even if they could happen to release v5, why do we want it if it is not 4.2?

Someone could modify the LGOG kernel to get it working. But again, that's IF you want something below 4.2.
Edit: I say "modify" because the kernel boots but not everything works.

OpenwebOS has now been forked by the community to differentiate from LG's OpenwebOS work.
WebOS Ports is now targeting LuneOS to Nexus 4 (mako) and HP Touchpad (tenderloin).
Galaxy Nexus and 2012 Nexus 7 are now deprecated after the first Alpha of LuneOS (designated Affogato) and no other legacy hardware from webOS will be targeted other than TouchPad...
http://webos-ports.org/wiki/Devices#vendor=;
There may be community builds to support other devices like Nexus 5, etc.
As the developer preview of Android l is available. Does this mean the Cyanogenmod team have it and will "hopefully" release CM12 or whatever number we're on?

No, because the source code has not been released. You need to wait until the autumn.
So....since this has now been ported to a variety of other different devices including one of the hardest devices to port things to (HTC One M7) is this actually a possibility for us Note 3 users??

Someone tried and reported that it is near impossible without a bootloader update from Samsung.
Anything is possible, but you should ask, if anyone wants to spend countless hours porting a preview ROM instead of the final ROM.
