Do you mean the home screen? If yes, you would need to put it in tablet ui to have it landscape.

Stock launcher doesn't rotate at this time.

Yes, you are missing the hundred or so other threads about this.
The home screen does not rotate unless you use a different launcher or an app like rotation locker.

[Q] Screen Flickering & DPI mod

Had my Nexus 7 for 24 hours know & its amazing but the I've only just noticed that sometimes my screen flickers & I have to lock & unlocked my nexus 7 to stop it, is this due to the DPI mod I'm using to give me a TabletUI or is this a fault?
Thanks in advance
Seems like its a problem regarding tegra 3 devices. It should be fixed in a rom update eventually.

Take the brightness control out of Auto and see if it helps

That's what I did too. Seemed to help.

Mine seems to flicker only when using Tapatalk. I haven't seen it do this on the home screen, browser or when playing games at all but every time I use tapatalk I see it at least once.
*edit* I also remember seeing it flicker when using the Facebook app.

Mine only seams to happen with chrome

A very strange screen defect... :(

Whenever there is a certain shade of gray, there is a bunch of green pixels. I don't mind a whole lot but it's annoying. Is anyone else experiencing this? Fix??

It looks like you might have to return it.... not experiencing anything like that on mine and I had a few weird things happen here and there
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium HD app
I'm not going to return it unless something serious occurs. This doesn't really bother me unless I'm in the settings app or in poweramp.

Fair enough I guess.... how about reading in night mode?

Likely to only get worse.
Fixed!! I just flashed a new ROM and the problem went away

Actually it was the kernel that did it. Trinity seven alpha 86. Great kernel but needs work

Check settings-display-rotation settings. It is not about rooting..
And now i just feel like a dumbass.... the screen rotation was lock at the status bar lol
Appreciate the help though

is there a ROM or launcher that looks like tablet mode on landscape? but then looks like phone mode on portrait?
i've tried Paranoid Android, and it puts tablet mode in both orientations.
