hi there,
i bought a xperia play r800i directly from a sony store (india) so it must be factory unlocked however it is unable to pick up any sim in canada. I have managed to unlock the bootloader, root my phone, install ice cream sandwich from cm9 but it is still unable to pick up any network. No roaming services work either on my indian sim.
i really hope there is a fix to this problem!! let me know if any phone details are needed!! the only thing i have not tried is editing build.prop if someone could help me do that!!

Hi,
I got a new Sony Ericssion Xperia Arc from UK with one of the mobile network provider there.
It's locked, I want to know the ways to unlock the SIM and have to make it work in India, without losing custom Sony Ericssion's software.
Is it possible? If yes, can anyone please guide me step by step.
I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy S GT-19000 using Darky's ROM with firmware at 2.3.4
It was locked to an Orange sim but I managed to unlock it using 'Galaxy S Unlock' app.
Now when I put my o2 sim into the phone, I can go on to the internet and download and install apps from the play store but I cannot make any calls or send or receive texts
I've also checked whether it is an issue with the sim, but the sim does work in other phones.
If anyone can help I would be very grateful!!!
Hi guys,
I have a Note 4 on ATT. Im wondering if SIM unlocking will affect the way my device works with my provider in any way, like my updates, or the phones OS or anything. For example my phone automatically downloaded this new lollipop update, but if my phone was unlocked would it update the OS automatically?
Also I was going to buy a code from cellunlocker, is this a good choice?
Thanks!! BTW I am a noob and this is my first post on XDA ;D
hello guys
i juste wanna buy an LG G2 VERIZON, but used, and it's now unlocked it can work with all operators

i ask theses questions because it happened to me with a SONY XPERIA SP, it was unlocked and everything ok, after update fail i tried repair with : pc companion, and i get a phone simlocked grrrrrrr

Hello everyone
I've recently got the phone (p10 lite) and, while trying and failing to update it (runs EMUI 5 and Android 7 now), after extensive talks with various Huawei representatives, I found out it's branded by Vodafone Italy, and apparently made for the Italian market. The device, however, was bought new from a store in Greece, so you can imagine my confusion.
Any way, long story short, I can get no updates, I'm stuck on the WAS-LX1AC432B123 build (it's the single siim 4gb variant). Huawei can't help me and neither can I get an Italian Vodafone sim card just to get an update (if they've even rolled out any). Huawei support even suggested I use a Vodafone sim (I did, to no avail) just in case this was the problem (it was not).
I've searched extensively for a solution but hit a wall everytime. Firmware finder does nothing as well, I'm constantly getting error messages for package errors and "download failed". I'm assuming it's because of the locked bootloader. The thing is, I can't unlock the bootloader without the code and Huawei straight up refuses to give out the code.
Now I know there are paid services like DC unlocker but I'm not sure if they're legitimate and safe and I'd obviously prefer not paying.
So, question: Is there any alternative to paid services? Is the unlock code obtainable some other way? Perhaps somewhere within the phone's files? And if so, how would one access it?
If not, is there another way I can de-brand the device? Maybe via some de-bricking method?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.
