Your situation is unfortunate but can be corrected. What you need to do is download a custom ROM of your choice or the Amazon stock software......the Amazon OS link is this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=200790620
---Download software to your PC, grab your USB transfer cable, go in to TWRP, plug cable into Kindle to PC, in TWRP go to MOUNT and then Mount USB and your PC then should pick up the Kindle as an external drive........simply stick the ROM to the root of the Kindle and there ya go......you now have a fresh ROM to install. You might still want to factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik and wipe system before installation of the new ROM.
If your PC doesn't pick up the Kindle being plugged in you probably will have to reinstall the drivers from the Kindle Fire Utility package

[HELP] Kindle rooted, added Go launcher EX now wont boot

My kindle will not boot after installing go launcher EX, it gets to the kindle fire screen and just sticks there. Hoping someone has a fix for this.
hmmm if you plug the the fire into a computer can you access the sdcard?
what we may need is somebody to root their tablet before taking the ota, then copying the ota out of the cache and upload it. there may be a fail safe feature where it automatically takes and update.zip and installs it it's present
amazon market
I haven't root'ed mine yet but downloaded the go launcher EX from the Amazon Market and it works fine
well the update is available http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=200790620#download for download so if you can manage to get your computer to view your sdcard, put it in the kindleupdate folder and it should install it which may fix your problem

Kindle Fire Genreal Problems

1.) Whenever I plug in my Kindle Fire, rooted with ICS, my laptop never recognizes it. It does though when using CM7.
2.) My widgets aren't resizeable after flashing bl1nkks newest rom today.
Any ideas for any of these? Thanks for any help I receive.
I am guessing you have tried re-booting your computer? Just a guess....
bug in ics at the time - mount with twrp if you want to copy to sdcard

[Q] Not able to transfer files to Kindle with TWRP 2.0 running

Awhile ago I successfully rooted my Kindle Fire using SuperOneClick and then I was able to install the market and everything. But I was not satisfied with just a custom skin, and instead wanted to actually install Cyanogen Mod 7.
Two days ago, I successfully installed TWRP 2.0 on the device using Kindle Fire Utility 0.9.2, and it was rooted and ready to go fairly quickly. The next day I was able to finally get the Cyanogen Mod 7 file loaded on to my Kindle and then successfully flashed it. I was running Cyanogen Mod 7 fine when I realized that I needed to also flash the Google apps zip to the device in order to install them. When I went back to TWRP 2.0 to flash the Google apps zip it essentially undid everything that I had already done. Now I can boot my Kindle to the TWRP loader, and even change the boot modes, but nothing much.
The main thing I would like to do is just get Cyanogen Mod 7 running again, but the problem is I can't transfer the file over through My Computer like I did the last time. The device is still showing up in the bottom left hand corner of my screen indicating that it is plugged in, but nothing shows up in My Computer that will allow me to transfer files. Is there anyway I can get it to show up or transfer the Cyanogen Mod 7 zip to the Kindle through another method?
I usually don't consider myself a noob when it comes to things like this, which is why I am really puzzled at why none of my methods have worked, but thanks in advance to whoever is able to help me.
Try WiFi explorer, or file expert and transfer the zips vía wireless

I can't access my Kindle fire at all. Ever since I got Cyanogen Mod 7 running the first time I haven't been able to get back into my Kindle. Thats why I need to use TWRP to transfer files, but its not working.
Go to "Mount", and tap on the button that says something like "Mount external". It will appear in My Computer.
try to use
adb push /location_in_your_pc /sdcard/

Help please!!!

I bricked a kindle fire pretty bad but was still able to get a working rom on there after using firekit and the usb boot mode trick. Was able to install firefirefire and twrp using ubuntu on a usb stick and some motherboard shorting. I'm still waiting for my factory cable to arrive in the mail but found this trick while waiting.
Firekit:

Usb boot mode trick:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1405052
Was pretty scary because I accidentally touched a paperclip to a power source and caused a spark on the kindles motherboard but apparently nothing was damaged. Just make sure you stay away from the ribbon cable below the shorting point.
This is a last resort for when you can't even adb shell into your device.

I'm sure you've figured out by now that you've deleted everything on your /sdcard partition. What you need to do now is "format" that area again. You can do this in one of two ways...
1) Use TWRP's Mount -> Mount USB Storage feature to get mount onto your computer's OS. It will ask you to format... you should be OK after that.
2) If that doesn't work out for some reason, you'll have to use parted to "make filesystem" which is just "format" in linux-speak...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424784
You can follow the directions in there to get it done, but it might ask a couple of times what partition and what filesystem type you want. It's always going to be 12 and fat32 for those questions. Don't mess with anything but partition 12. Type "quit" to get out of the "parted" program.
If you don't know how to use adb, read the posts in this guide...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1552547
I suggest you read it from the beginning, but the information you need is mostly located in the 3rd post.
Hey, I said it was a last resort. I probably should have waited for the factory cable but i'm impatient. It all worked out though.
It should have just reformatted the sdcard partition. Try to mount usb from twrp and copy a Rom to flash.

The shortest recommendation (the one above), is the right one.
I don't know wth tombombman was talking about, that relates nothing to a formatted SD card
TRY to find the smallest possible OS install in megs. It'll increase the likelihood that a SD card data recovery program might be able to find your old backups, should it NOT be overwritten by any new data that's created on the SD card.

Hi
I have one question, can your computer recognise your kindle? If it can, you are in luck. Get ADB Minimal application on your PC and run the following commands:
Adb devices
If the connected kindle shows up with a massive serial key, be happy.
Then there in :
Adb reboot bootloader
Then follow on screen instructions. It should come up with a kindle fire logo, and some options in a table. There you pick "Restore to factory default"
Or whatever, and then "yes" and then you should have stock Rom back. That worked for me when I messed kindle up and also I found these instructions here on xda by SnegovicRZN.
Thanks)
