[Q] Wifi Packet Loss Screen Off - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

On my Nexus 4, when I am connected to a wifi network, and I turn the screen off wifi stops working after a few minutes. The phone is set to keep wifi on "always", and pretends to stay connected to the wifi network (it keeps the icon in the top right corner saying it is connected), but incoming Talkatone calls are not received, emails aren't received, and attempts to ping the device fail until the screen is turned back on.
It seems like the device is going into some lower power wifi state that isn't operating correctly. The minimize battery usage when wifi is on is set "off" also.
Please help, I use wifi for Talkatone and voip calls.

try keeping your phone on the charger...I had this problem with my Galaxy Nexus...and either keeping the phone on charger or switching the kernel i was using, was the only way I solved the issue.

Keeping the phone on the charger really isn't an option for me unfortunately... I actually noticed this on my Galaxy Nexus after the 4.2 update. I never had the issue with 4.1.
Do other people also have this issue? I literally get no notifications after my screen has been off for a few minutes. I'm thinking it might be specific to the wifi network I am connected to, so I am trying to change some of the settings for it, but nothing seems to help.

I've noticed the Wi-Fi stops responding to pings as well, I've just assumed this is a power saving option and pings are not processed when the phone is in standby. Even when the phone can't be pinged and I've turned off the mobile data, I still receive email messages, so ping or not ping, that isn't the issue I don't think.
Are you sure Talkatone is set up correctly? Applications like Talkatone would only process incoming calls if the phone remains on or it keeps the phone awake while the screen is off.
Regards
Phil

Hmm. That's odd. I seem to still receive notifications when the screen is off, even though ping doesn't work.
Talkatone is definitely not receiving incoming calls though. I don't see any settings that would fix this though.

Correction -> If I leave my screen off for more than some amount of time (>10 minutes or so), my connection turns grey, and I stop receiving notifications. When I turn the screen back on, the connection icon turns blue after a few seconds, and then I receive my notifications.

Apparently it's an issue with Andorid 4.2 and our routers. http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=40065

Direct Push resets phone connection, disconncets call

i am having a problem with Direct Push. It resets phone connection, and disconncets me in the middle of a call. I will go from full bars to it looking for a connection in an area i know is fine. A few seconds and i have full bars again. Its really irritating. The only time this doesnt happen is when direct push is off. anyone have any ideas.
I've noticed this too. When I go to bed with DirectPush enabled, when I wake up my phone shows full bars, no missed calls or texts. But if I check voicemail, I'll have had a ton of calls that never got through. Sometimes I even have to reset the phone to use it again at all.
VERY big problem, so I've disabled it for now. Anyone else seen this?

WiFi calling notification with Good Lock?

Using Good Lock, I don't see any notification about WiFi calling being turned on. I didn't care until earlier today when I apparently lost WiFi calling for a while without knowing it (the phone didn't respond to incoming calls, and when I eventually tried I couldn't make an outgoing call, even though the phone had a strong WiFi connection). I force WiFi calling by turning on Airplane Mode, then re-enabling WiFi (which Airplane Mode initially turns off).
So it would be useful to have a WiFi Calling notification icon, which I seem to recall from before I started using Good Lock. Is there any way to keep Good Lock but get that notification icon back?

help with screen rotation and WiFi

Hey! So I recently purchased an Axon 7 and I am so far really enjoying the device. I have just one problem and its starting to annoy me.
Whenever I am viewing something in landscape mode, and I disable auto rotation because I don't want it to switch back to portrait, it automatically switches me into portrait mode when I turn off auto rotation.
Any idea on how I can fix this? Thanks.
I also have another question regarding the WiFi.
Whenever I unlock my phone and go into an app, eg: YouTube, it shows no internet connection. I go into settings app and I'm getting full bars, but under my network name it says "Connected, no internet".
Message goes away after a few seconds and WiFi starts working again.
any help? Also, the arrows near the WiFi icon are always blinking and everything seems to load slowly as if the WiFi needs to reconnect. I've already checked the advanced settings in WiFi and WiFi is set to always be on during sleep.
thanks

S10+ Lock Screen No Internet

Good Day,
I have a problem with my Samsung Galaxy S10+.
Everytime my screen locks, my internet disconnects.
Example 1 - when I am on a whatsapp call, the phone goes into a lock screen when I put it close to my ear, which then disconnects my internet and makes the call start reconnecting.
Example 2 - I will leave my phone alone in a locked state, for hours without recieving any notifications. As soon as I unlock my phone, all my notifications start popping up.
How do I solve this issue?

All the bugs I found using Pixel Experience 11.0 Beta ROM.

I am using
Redmi Note 4 (mido) 4GB+64GB
RQ1A.210205.004
PixelExperience_mido-11.0-20210203-2157-BETA-OFFICIAL
1. Everything is greyed out even screenshot and select. (images attached)
I can fix this by restarting the phone but the issue comes back after a few days.
2. I can't change mobile data from my 4g-only sim to the other sim without restarting the phone(airplane mode works but then I can't receive calls).
3. USB Tethering doesn't work.
It was working when I had stock ROM.
Also in ClockWorkMod Tether, it says USB tether is not running even after enabling it in settings.
4. The notification LED is too bright.
I didn't think it was possible but the brightness of the notification LED actually is getting uncomfortable at night.
5. Wifi keeps disconnecting sometimes.
Although I cannot reproduce this result every time it does happen frequently.
Every wifi in my building keeps getting disconnected when this happens.
6. All the Wifi networks in my area doesn't show up at once.
It takes around 10-20 seconds for all the available networks to show even those which have a good signal.
This problem is especially visible when I wifi I was connected to randomly disconnects.
7. There is no internet speed indicator option.
Been using 3rd party software.
8. There are no arrows to show data transfer next to the signal indicator in the status bar.
I don't know if this feature is in stock android.
9. Cannot use chat bubbles in 3rd party apps.
I can't seem to find the bubble option for apps like WhatsApp and Instagram.
10. Call app is slow.
It takes a few seconds to show the calling screen after tapping the call button.
The screen doesn't show up when removing the phone from my ear, I have to manually double tap to make the display come up so I can end the call.
