Buddy,
Apparantly no such app exists,
Just be smart and know what you are doing to your device,
If u want to keep your system safe from data corruption and improper manipulation just dont root it,
Also keep your system backed up constantly using titanium backup or other backup app
If you dont know what rooting truly does please google it,
that is the best answer you can get,
you can pay a expert and im sure they'll just tell you the exact same thing

You do mean flashing thru clockwork right ???
I tried flashing this zip .. It removed the original messaging app no icon.. But didnt install the fascinate one
Yea that's odd? Try using root explorer and see if that works. I'm not at my laptop right now to try it out

im gonna try root explorer .. I think it has to do with the actual mms.apk . Maybe it needs to be fixed.. Cause to my knowledge other apks that are transferred from another rom dont always work and need to be fixed or modded so they dont force close.. =( thank u for your effort i hope u get it working !

LMFAO.
That was great.
As far as a solution to a not so savvy user. Use the sdx app. First copy the fascinate mms to your sdcard in the sdx backup folder. Then remove stock mms then restore faginate mms. Personally I use the eclair mms with no limit mod and inverted. (Black)

As the title suggests:
I enabled the Android setup wizard on all Roms by a simple mod
So what this does is enables the Android Setup Wizard which runs on first boot and is made to ease the first boot like adding/creating accounts, changing some settings, etc.
I am posting the manual instructions as i g2g now so later on i'll post a script
Open any root file explorer
Navigate to /system
Mount as R/W
Open build.prop
Add this line at the end:
Code:
ro.setupwizard.mode=ENABLED
One more thing
You need to factory reset to use this as this is for the first boot only(to ease things!)
Sorry for the inconvenience but i'll try to make the script(and test it as much as possible) maybe tomorrow!
u rock dude

1. YES!, if you really want to know what rooting does,
-rooting is the process of gaining superuser access or administrative access to all system files, that is why the typical stock roms from samsung are not rooted so that the normal user does not have administrative access to manipulate or change and system files including apps cannot change the system files, rooting can cause a software malfunction (soft brick) if you in any case wrongly do something and mess your system,
2. apps that require rooting are those that need to manipulate or change something inside the system files,
please we have google to search for such facts and answer,
if you want a quick answer right away the search for "what is rooting android" in google,

Of course their is but the chances of it are very small you'll have to go over and above disobeying every instruction in order order for that to happen

All I want to add is
1. Search before creating a thread.
2. Read and search to get info
3. Try to use search function.. it gets you info faster..
4. Don't be lazy.. be smart.. use search...
5. Dont create multiple threads for. Each questions.. use one thread of yours for all questions..
6. Search search and more search..
Lastly, did I say SEARCH?
I guess all I can tell you is search it..
If you think I'm wrong.. report this post

doomsday coming make your nandroid backup before its too late !
First know why you want to root your phone, and if you follow the proper procedure with the appropriate update.zip file, your phone won't be bricked.
I think link2sd and root explorer are the first thing you will ask after rooting.
Finally there's an awesome button named SEARCH. just try it bro.

take a bat or any other solid object...
lay it down on the floor...
then lift it about 1 cm from the floor..
now drop it...
the chances that states the bat will break = chances phone getting brick...
**rooting is new for me...and i am noob to root...**

Hmm , i want to change my theme and the desgin of the phone , i mean , for exm i want to put an icon at the notification bar ...
Im newbe in roots and all this things.
A great reason to root is called xposed installer... Simple as that! :good:
Also a good reason is to debloat the system...
And to be able to freeze, un-freeze, backup and restore apps...
Well, there are tons of good reasons why you should root it... lol
Cheers!

With ioroot10 it is really, really simple to root this phone.

You realize this forum isn't all about you, right? If it's valid information, it's useful for people in the future. Don't edit the OP, change the title, then 'ask for it to be closed'.
Very selfish.
If anything, you update on what fixed the issue/answered the question and let the thread die.
