First of all I'd like to say Hi to everyone I bought a 16 gb class 4 sdcard for my hd2. After few days of using my ROM started crashing so I installed new one, then this repeated. I went back to my 8 gb class 4 card and everything is working fine but it's not enough memory for me. So there is my question, is it possible to make something to make this card work normally or I need to buy better one ?

Which SDcard did you bought and what means "crashed" ?!
There is some wrong with your new card. I also faced a similar problem and I return the card. Then I got a another one which works well.

Hi guys,
I'm having a weird issue with my HTC Aria,
the micro SD card I'm using goes missing from time to time especially after boot. The system just refuses to see it, a physical eject and reinsert of the card is enough to get it to read for a while until it dissappears or until I reboot.
I've already tried formatting the card with the PC and in the phone, neither of which has helped the situation. Has anyone got some other tips of what I should do to sort this problem out.
Manually removing the card 3-4 times a day gets quite tiresome.
.
Is it a Class 2 SDHC memory? A friend was having similar problems with an 8GB card of those characteristics and the phone didnt recognized it, not even after eject and re-insert. Try if the same happens with a SDHC of bigger class (speed)
Actually its a class 4, it does it every restart

Have you tried another card to narrow your issue down to card or phone?

I tried a 2gb Samsung card, like the free one you get with the phone. That had no issues, so it looks like my Kingston 8gb is faulty.

I bought a 32GB Sandisk here in Germany and it worked with 0 issues, although I have yet to try it with ICS 4.0.3, but assuming it works fine.
works fine for me as well..
brought from a local shop from lamington road, mumbai.. around 2-3 months back for Rs. 2400/- (dont rememeber exact amount)
Just to add another positive opinion
Mine works fine as well, it is a 32gb class 4. A little slow for copying files on it, but within the music app it is as fast as I need it to be.
And as long as no file system is supported that can handle files bigger than 3-4 gb I dont need more than that^^
LOL DUDE !!! even 64gb MicroSD card will fly on your device ...
i own SanDisk Ultra microSDCard 64GB and it works Like Charm on my phone.
Bought a class 10 (20mb read / 10 write) for $50 a month ago. Works great.
Have about 20gb on it already and hasn't slowed the phone down. Great for gameloft game data files.

Anyone know why Samsung phones destroy SD Cards? And could anyone recommend a card it wont destroy? Ive heard good things about the 64 gig Samsung card but idk..

Can you read it on your computer/laptop?
I would try reformatting on the phone after dumping any data to your pc.

agreed
Did you get this card on eBay? Or from a reputable store? As others said - make sure you try the SD card in a computer or elsewhere.
I believe this is just a fluke issue. I had the same problem. I shut phone completely off for 5 minutes turned it back on and everything was fine with me. So before you go panicking try shutting phone off then back on.

I also have had this happen with two separate cards. The last time it happened the data was a complete loss. Unreliable if you ask me.

16gig any brand should not be having issues at all, format fat32, and it will work, now 64 on the other hand, s4 and 64g have serious issues playing together.
I have an 8 gig and 16 gig card that I have used for YEARS and my S4 runs them just fine. I don't really think it's the phone.
I've had this issue a few times on my SanDisk 64GB. I panic at first, then just reboot and wait and it comes back fine... No data loss (yet) but I have everything backed up anyway..
only one thing to do, kill the S4...

I have never ever had any issues with the micro sd card on any of the Galaxy's phone. It might be a bad card. It's not your phone that killed the Kingston micro sd card. If your phone was a killer, it would have killed internal sd first before even killing this innocent 16 GB Kingston micro sd card.

OP I TOTALLY feel your pain! I've killed 2 64GB SD cards with my S4 since it was new. They were both sandisk ultra class 10 cards. I finally got a Samsung brand, and haven't had one single issue! It even runs faster than the sandisk ones.
Kingston SD cards .... the *** NEW Kingston SD *** cards are now working with Samsung devices.
My first Kingston 64 GB SD card stopped working months ago and asked Kingston for a RMA and they sent my new card. Now this new card has stopped working as well ... i asked Kingston what the problem was and they mentioned the the last batches of 64 GB SD cards were not compatible with Samsung Phones. I have two (2) Kingston 64 GB SD cards. Check the numbers on your Kingston SD cards NOW...
the two cards i have now are being returned via RMA and the numbers i have are

I just lost my second 32gb class 10 Sandsk SD card in the S4. I didn't take the card out our do anything special. The card is now unrecognized in my computer and phone. This is the second SD card I lost. Any ideas on what may be causing this and how to possibly repair a card that isn't recognized?
Sent from my GT-N5110 using xda premium
Try a card reader and pop it in a computer. Mine went unrecognized after a hefty download from the play market failed. So I copied everything off it and put it back in. And it worked. After backup if ur pc sees everything u can format it even once in the phone. Good luck

Just ordered a SanDisk 32GB sd card also except mine is class 4... wonder what the difference is, hope it doesn't happen to me :fingers-crossed:
It is disturbing at the cost of these. Fortunately I have a backup that isn't too old and I decided not to move all my apps to the SDCard.

The class is a speed rating.
A class 10 is 2.5 times faster than a class 4 at reading from and writing to the card.
I have just lost my second 32 gig. Lots of data lost. Can this be coincidence. I am worried and will start to back up the next mem card for piece of mind. I will guess the first one worked for 1 year and the second for 2 hope thurd times the charm.

That's time 0. Its when computers start counting the milliseconds that have passed to the present time. It happened because a lazy programmer needed to provide the current time and just put 0 because he didn't feel like getting it. Enjoy ur free software
