My tf300t decided to randomly shut down last night and its got stuck in a boot loop. It shows the first Asus logo in white, and then the second in the animated grey/silver but then goes black and goes back to the first white Asus logo.
I let it do this all night, unplugged so it ran it self out of battery, because there was nothing k could do!
I tried booting into recovery mode (vol down + power) to see what options are available and it gives a 10 second countdown saying it will boot normally of anything is pressed, so i can't do anything from recovery mode either it seems.
Please can someone suggest how to boot into a working tablet as its only a week old

Have you tried doing a wipe? Vol down + pwr button to enter bootloader screen then move selector to "wipe" via volume buttons (Mine work opposite to the instructions at the top of the screen. I.E. where it says use vol up I have to use vol down instead). Note this will erase everything on your internal sd card and reset to factory settings etc. If you need to get some files off prior to wiping select the USB logo from the bootloader screen and connect to a PC to see if you can access them first. Hope this helps! Good luck!

There's an app called boot to recovery in Play Store(Market). Install it and press boot to recovery and it will bring you there...
Using the vol and power button sometime a little tricky..
Have that installed but nothing, just reboots as normal

I think your recovery was never been flashed somehow..
Instead you may try get the recovery installer.apk and use it to install recovery. Next use the boot to recovery app to boot your TF101 to CWM..

Tried that but it just turns off and boots back up but not in CWM

Checking for android ota recovery
Skiping android ota checking
checking for RCK.. press key (vol_up) in 5 sec to enter RCK (press volume up and the next line of text appears)

Yeah it should take you to cwm if you have one install. What method did you use to install cwm recovery?
I have tried at least 10 times with no results. I power down the device, hold both volume buttons and the power button, and nothing. I do get a vibrate after about 2 seconds, but nothing on the screen and then it vibrates every 6-7 seconds until I let go of the buttons. Kind of disappointed as I was all nice and comfortable on the couch, ready to use the Nexus 10 toolkit to do the all-in-one.
Anyone else experience this problem?

Try releasing then power button (but hold the other two) when you feel the first vibration. I've found that holding the power button can make a continuous reboot happen.

Tried that, but no luck. I also went a different route and tried to do it using mskip's toolkit in original android development. After installing the drivers and choosing the options to boot into fastboot, the device vibrated once and nothing showed up on the screen. BUT...when I refreshed the main menu the toolkit recognized the device as in fastboot mode. Really weird happenings with this, and starting to be concerned that my device has some issues. What point is a Google device if I can't unlock or root it?!
Sent from my SCH-I535
I've had the best luck holding the vol up/down button down first, then while that's down, pressing and holding power until the fastboot menu comes up.
Well, I am at a complete loss. Is this cause for replacement?
Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk HD
Hold all three buttons at the same time and wait for the vibration and release. It should work.

Ok, so, I'm not sure what to make of the recent events. Bottom line, I was booting to fastboot mode, but the screen was just blank. I followed the instructions via the toolkit just by selecting the buttons and hoping it was making the correct selections in fastboot mode. Now unlocked, rooted, and a happy man! Still not sure why the fastboot menu would not show up though.

I cant get the toolkit to recognize my tablet in fastboot mode. Is there a soluton to the black screen?
If the toolkit does not recognize the device in fastboot, then there's a good chance you didn't install the drivers correctly. Did you follow the directions correctly to get the toolkit to recognize the device?

I got my device unlocked and the device did install the drivers. However, the problem was not that. But here's the thing, my N10 never showed me the fastboot menu. But connected to the PC it does show its connected. I never saw the screen that confirms "do you want to unlock the bootleader" (it goes completely black and vibrates every 5 seconds).
Workaround to unlock: For anyone with this problem, I just had to "guess" that menu (I think its clicking the vol button down once and then the power button). For me it bootlooped. so I pressed the Vol+ and power and in fastboot I booted to stock recovery, from there just wipe factory settings, and voila.
Weird tho that my fastboot screen was completely black

This is exactly how I had to do it. It's a 50/50 shot, since I think the options are yes or no. Apparently the problem is a little more common, as evidenced by this thread I started in Android General, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2018777

Reboot into boot loader, choose recovery, press all three buttons at top at same time if you don't have options to select, then factory reset. This will solve your boot loop.

Installed ROM Manager.
Downloaded "cm-9-20130929-NIGHTLY-e400.zip" from the CyanogenMod site.
Downloaded "gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip" from goo.im.
Put phone into USB file mode.
Transferred the .zip's onto the SD card.
Went into ROM Manager.
Selected "Install ROM from SD Card".
Selected the CM9 .zip.
Confirmed the reboot.
It reboots and only shows the LG logo and sits there forever.
Holding the power button reboots the phone and it's back like it was.
SuperUser is installed and ROM Manager has SuperUser permissions.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you 're already installed cwm recorevy? if yes, then go to cwm recovery (home + vol- + power) and wipe everything , reflash again.
seem cause of you not wipe before flashing

Ok, so I removed the battery for about 30 seconds, then put it back in.
Held down the Home & Volume - & Power buttons.
The Menu and Back lights blinked.
I continued holding the buttons down for about a minute and a half, and the lights kept blinking. I assumed they would continue blinking forever, so I let go of the buttons.
The phone boots up to the lock screen like normal.
What am I missing?
====================
EDIT > I tried holding Home & Volume - & Power while on the Home screen, the Power Off menu came up, kept holding the buttons, the phone shut down and rebooted back to the lock screen like normal. So I guess it's still a no-go for me at this point.
EDIT 2 > According to other threads here some are having to unlock the bootloader. Where's a good place to start looking for how to do that if it's needed for this phone?
So I've been googling this crap for 3 days now, and it seems that my phone is just this magic piece of crap that will only show the LG logo while trying to do a hard reset or trying to get into recovery. I'm at my wit's end.

I removed the battery, plugged it in via USB to PC, held down Vol Down, Vol Up, & Power (it was showing an animation that looked like it was showing me to put the back of the phone on), the animation goes away as I'm holding the buttons, the Menu and Back button lights started flashing quickly, I let go of the buttons, then it shows the LG Logo for a few seconds, then it shows the blue TracFone logo for a few seconds, then goes back to showing the animation again.

I got it using "adb reboot recovery". The problem was that the recovery wasn't properly pushed because of so little space on this phone. It's slightly different than the regular L3 e400's because of some reason. It's a Straight Talk LG Optimus Dynamic. Thanks for your replies.
My nexus 7 hung whilst browsing so I shutdown and restarted.
On boot it displayed android man with no command.
Tried to do factory restore using recovery and when factory restore it hung at formatting /data (left for up to an hour) tried this a few times still the same.
I then deleted cache in recovery which also hung.
Now the device just displays Google and cannot access recovery or fast boot modes, if If I force shutdown it just turns off then on and displays Google again. I have had to leave it overnight to drain the battery.
Any ideas on recovery or as I suspect faulty storage on the device.

No all combinations just result in Google being displayed, Google stays displayed until force shutdown which always does a restart, only way to keep it shutdown is to let the battery run out.
Tried on vol-, also on vol+ and on vol+-
The device is 18 months old, never rooted and only done ota updates, it was not updating when it originally hung
Ok completely wiped out my g2 and tried fastboot laf.img to restore download mode.i was also able to flash rogers twrp through fastboot but nothing to flash or restore.the laf.img did not work.all img flashed and said ok.the directions after fastboot reboot says as soon as i see ok i should power off my phone immediately, unplug from usb computer and plug back in while holding vol up key and should enter download mode.my issue is,it says if i cant remove my battery i should enter fastboot reboot command and after that hold the power to power down while still hooked up to usb.i hold button but my phone wont turn off.it just bootloops untill i take my finger off power button so i cant power down.also is there a way to upload firmware or rom from fastboot?as i said before i can get into twrp but no firmware to flash.please help me.oh ya after i flashed laf.im i unplugged my phone(unplugged i can power down by holding powere until lg logo appaers and powers down)so i hold vol up and connect to computer.for a brief second i see download mode with ........ If you can access TWRP recovery, you can shutdown your phone by going Reboot > Power Off.
Yes but you dont understand.the guidlines are very spacific that after all the fastboot flashing and final step says that after all flashing it says okay and to immediately power down either by removing battery or in my case with a rogers lg g2 where baterry removal is not an option it says type last command fastboot reboot and hold power while the phone powers down.but it will not power down while still plugged into usb port.well that cant happen as it loops itself.and same thing while i do button combo to get into twrp.i can do all the above no problem if the usb cord is not attached only when i unplug the usb it allows me to do combo and get recovery.i just cant get passed that point where all flashes okay and power down while still plugged in.omg this is frustrating.im gonna throw this damn phone out the window lol
