my Best Battery Life so Far - Galaxy Note 10.1 General

managed to extract 11 hours of screen usage within 24 hours.....pretty much happy with my note 10.1 battery
about 9 hours of video streaming + youtubing along with normal fb, email ............
brightness was less than 50% and volume at 75 - 100 depending upon the sound on video
not to mention wifi and sync were on all the time

I get about the same as you do with pretty heavy usage. I haven't put it down much since I purchased it, so I can't really tell you how long the battery lasts with mild to slight moderate use.

I get all day use and I've got it underclocked so that might help.

Screentime 9 hours with 50 percent? That's very good!
I get about 7hrs to 7.5 hrs (Screen On, Awake is about 1hr more) with moderate use. It just depends on what you are using it for. I'm never over 50% brightness, at night its at the minimum brightness possible plus I use Screen Filter app (lowers the brightness even more). I tried to turn off wifi when I'm not using it, for example in games.
Admiral could you tell us if that 9hrs are screen on and how you use your tablet (wifi on all the time, browsing, watching videos, games, etc.)

Admiral could you tell us if that 9hrs are screen on and how you use your tablet (wifi on all the time, browsing, watching videos, games, etc.) What app did you use to underclock to 880mhz?
I'm haven' t rooted yet, update to .26 and hard reset after update.

Battery Life with and without Power Saving Mode.

Hey guys,
Just bought a GS3, battery life for me is definitely better than the HTC One X (maybe not all of you, but it's my personal preference) , just wondering what screen on time people get with and without the Power Saving Mode?
Sent from my GT-I9300T using xda premium
3h 40min.
I like Dead Trigger.
I got a second original battery and since then I never run out of battery. Remember the S3 has a replaceable battery!
30 very good invested Euros

5-6 hours with power saving. Since I don't really game I leave it on all the time. Even then the phone is still beat mode. God I love it.

I can get 12h screen time, playing simple game over wifi or watching movie at minimum brightness =) about 8.7% per hour..energy saving on. a little UV and UC. What makes me wonder is how to get over 7 hours browsing, seems impossible...

Agree, its the brightness that kills the battery!
Yes, full brightness and at least 35% juice less....dark background helps a lot actually to keep more juice.

Liquid smooth and Franco kernel

Fairly new to all this but installed both the above and hasn't made much difference.. Any ideas please.

We need more information besides that single screenshot. Have you checked your wake locks? Do you have any apps running in the background that it's not suppose to? Any rogue apps? How is your service?

That's looking normal to me. By the looks of it you have had over an hour of streaming music. So constant data connection and media service use.
I use paranoid android and Franco kernel and here is my usage.
Note I only use light web browsing and medium xda usage
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
music will kill the battery via media server
i would love to use my phone as a music player but since it drains so quickly i've resorted to using my ipod and just left music out of nexus 4 for now.
without music and only internet use, email, texting, some minor games here and there (pinball, super hexagon, some GBA games)
i get at LEAST 20+ hours and about 3 hours screen on time consistently
I didn't actually steam any music it was all stored locally from Spotify but your correct music does seem a killer. Just to be sure I had liquid smooth installed and after a few days applied the kernel. I didn't do a clean install of everything would this have made any difference?
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
No you don't need a clean wipe to flash a new kernel

Oh Okay thanks that's good to know.

Hi all, those who are running liquid smooth, could you tell me, if the are profiles (as in CM) presented in this ROM?
Screen on time is the main battery drain, if you've got upwards of 3 hours with a full charge (depends greatly on brightness levels) then you're doing ok.
Im running the same setup (LS + Franco) and have my screen brightness on 100%.
I get between 3 and 3.5 hours of screen on time, which is fine for me.
On stock i was getting 2 hours.
I use the same combo and I my battery drain is fine
Sometimes you need to go through a few full charge cycles to tell the difference
I'll keep you updated as I go... Thanks for your comments

Well at the moment I'm using my phone as normal. Usually dead when I walk through the door but still showing 19‰ so pretty happy with that

Nexus 4 battery

Hello, I just had a 3hr 30min SOT time with some fairly heavy usage (gaming) on my nexus 4. Is that considered good for the N4 and how could I improve it?

That's pretty normal I guess. I get about 4.5 hrs SOT with browsing, occasional gaming, messaging.. I think there are users getting a lot more than that!
You can try out different ROM+kernel combos to check out how your battery performs..
Nah, I rather not try them out. I like getting ota updates and hate factory resetting hehe. Any other ways to improve battery life without flashing anything or rooting?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Turn off background programs.. Autoruns.. turn brightness down .
Still you are gaming on a phone. How long do you Toni the battery is going to last with your gpu and cpu running full bore?
Sent from my shiny new(bought last Nov), scratch less Nexus 4!
I can get 5 hours of on screen time during the work day. Using for browsing, txt, light calls. But during a weekend, 4 hours on screen time with heavy use of YouTube, gaming, and calls. I'm also running a custom rom and kernel. When I was stock I could not even get 3 hours of on screen time doing anything.

3.5 hours of SOT is good man. Especially if you were playing games and what not. I usually get the same in a 15 or so hour day. And your stock you say getting almost 4 hours of apt.. That's awesome man. ..
You can turn off a bunch of shat like GPS and BT and auto sync and blah .. But then what's the point of your smart phone..
Two things.. There are other threads about SOT that you could post this.. And don't let these "oh I get 5 hours of sot" guys get to you. Half of them are either lying about the sot or the usage their phone had that day.

Haha, good to hear that my sot is great. plus having all those kernels and Roms might mess up my phone so with stock this sot will be good enough for me. Anyways thanks for your information.

Nexus battery life

Hey guys! So after I bought my n4, I thought of testing the battery. After playing for about 1 and a half hours, watching a 45 minute movie and browsing the Web for about one hour or maybe two, it finally died. What do you think of it?

very normal.
battery life will all depend on your setup(rom/kernel/apps), your phone signal, and your personal use. most people see between 2.5 and 4.5 hours, while a few see quite a bit more, 4-7 hours

Yeah its very normal...While consuming heavy multimedia, your n4 is sure to be dead within 3-4 hours...
I played GTA 3 with lowest resolution and it drained 10% of my battery in 20 min!
Guess what would hav happened if i maxed out the performance!!!
