I heard these Nexus 10s walk to a wall charger when you're not looking and then charge themselves up a bit.
Besides the bs, I think it has something to do with the battery just recalibrating. It happens a lot on my GNex and I usually notice the battery "increase" right after heavy usage. The heavy usage probably just made your Nexus 10 underestimate the battery amount.

It seems like my battery won't idle after it drops under 100%. I can leave it off the charger at 100% and it won't drop. But after that it'll drop 2-3% every 2-3 hours I don't touch it. What gives? Looking at the graph there is no wake locks period. It just slants it never flat lines it seems like. WiFi is not on and it deep sleeps. But the battery drops over nothing.
Left it over night at 71% and it dropped to 68%.

Mine does this too, I have noticed it since the start with every kernel/ROM
I can leave it for ages or even use it for a while, and it stays at 100% but below 100% it doesn't do this
However I have noticed that this occurs more on some kernels than others. eg. Bricked which I am using now, does not last as long on 100% and goes down normally from there.
I have read people thinking their battery life is amazing at 100% but honestly I think its a bug or something in the reading
Please correct me if I'm wrong

Its a possibility I never had this expierence before 4.1.2 got put out. I honestly think that it was a bug introduced. Or something not entirely sure. Thanks for participating.

Honestly, I have noticed it since the first few days I had it, on 4.1 and 4.1.1 (I got mine on release weekend)
No problem mate I am actually glad someone else has noticed it as a bug or something, not amazing battery life lol

Issue is I've never had this till just recently. It'll idle perfectly after a full charge at 100% but start messing with it and it'll drop 2% every time I let it idle every 3-4 hours. Hell not even that long some times. Using betterbatterystats to see if its an app. As I see that the CPU time using States doesn't match the display time. So its awake when the screen is off and isn't showing up in the battery graph.

Is it not normal for a battery to die even if a device is not being used? I don't see how it would remain the same % if its not plugged in.

It is really strange that the battery comsuption of my new nexus 4 doesn't show uniformly.I mean it often stays the same figure for a long time, but drops very quickly in a few minutes for 2-3 percent, and then stays at the same number again.
When the battery percentage is above 50%,it's not very obvious. But below 50%,I can feel it very obviously.Today,I turn off my phone at 42%,but when i turn on the phone again, the percentage suddenly drops to 32%.
Besides,I want to say the the battery can stay for 15 hours or more.So the total time is obviously normal.I think it's not a problem of battery. But I am still a little puzzled. What can I do?
From the chart,I can see the trend of the curve change looks like steps......
It's not uneven battery consumption, it's that the reporting is kinda broken - e.g. it gives you the impression that it has used hardly anything for a while, then suddenly drops.

Well first of all rebooting the phone uses a considerable amount of power. You can't expect to shut it down and turn it on and see the same battery level.

Turn off GPS, check your settings on Google maps, some times weather widgets and other apps drain your battery while screen off, task killers, news constantly updating news feed widgets do that

Had something weird happen to me at work today. My battery was at like 22%. Plugged in my nexus 4 and in a few seconds showed 100%. I said to myself huh?? That was quick of course I knew something was wrong. Unplugged my nexus 4 and went to 1%. Anyone know what causes this or had anything like this happen to them?

Happens to me when the battery calibration gets messed up. That means it usually happens after flashing ROMs or doing hard resets.
Nothing to worry about. Just continue with normal usage and the battery will calibrate itself after a couple charge cycles.
I've always been curious about this, when I'm using my nexus reading , watching videos or whatever I can see the percentage slowly decreasing according to use and it's all fine and normal. But then I turn off the WiFi and screen, and some time later I turn it on just for a quick check of mail or a doc and I can see a quick drop of 2 percent. It's not a huge deal but I've always been curious about this. I never have many apps running in the background, just the basic. Is that something to be expected with usage? I use better battery stats and there doesn't seem to be anything unusual that drains battery.
Sorry if there's any bad English there, I'm Mexican.

That's just the battery refreshing. Even sitting a minimal amount of battery will always drain, the status bar just doesn't refresh until a couple seconds after turning the screen on. Don't know why it operates like that, my phone doesn't.

Agreed - 2% drops are around normal... I often see such drops when I turn on my N7. I'm not sure how the the battery calibrates such things, but I wouldn't worry about it, cesarmanilla.
When you start seeing 'cliff-edged' 10% drops offs - Then worry!
------
I do think people sometimes obsess a little over battery issues - which gets in the way of them enjoying the device...

Mine does the same thing, drops 2% after its been on standby, also sometimes it drops 2% just a in general use too instead of the usual 1% anyone else notice this?
But your right I spend so much time fretting about battery life and not enjoying the device.

Anyone else notice their battery drop 2% while for example surfing the Web? Not all the time just every now and then.
