Lock screen issues - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Sometimes when I unlock the screen the touch doesn't work well and is glitchy so I have to turn the screen off and back on again for it to work properly. Am I the only one having this problem?

Nope.
Disable lockscreen options and no issues.

[Q] Touch issue if touching screen while turning on

Hi All,
Not sure if this a bug or not, but if you are touching the screen (While off) and turn it on, the touch is broken. its like the calibration is completely messed up and the touch is unusable/uncontrollable. I can easily fix by Turning the screen off and on again not touch but it is a bit annoying.
Is this the way that android works, does it calibrate the screen touch every time you turn it on?
Does anyone know if i can fix this is any way?
I get this issue 2-3 times a day, it's not always from touching the screen though, for me it just seems to happen randomly. I wasn't able to reproduce it by touching the screen beforehand.

Touch Control interfering with proximity sensor during call

A quick Google search didn't yield any results, so I bring my issue to you.
It seems that when I have touch control enabled, and I remove the phone from my face during a call, the screen does not come back on unless I touch the screen to wake it up. I know it's touch control doing this, because when I disable it, the sensor works fine. Just wondering what causes this and if there was a fix short of disabling touch control completely.

Disable quick launch for camera????

This is driving me crazy! There is a feature on the G2 where of the screen is off you can press and hold the volume down for 3 seconds and the camera will launch. Is there a way to disable this??? It bypasses the lock screen which is a no no!
There isn't as far as I know. However, putting a case on the phone solves the issue

It does not bypass the lockscreen if you have anything besides swipe and no lock set set... the proximity sensor won't let it even work if covered. VS980.
You can with xposed if you're rooted, otherwise I don't think there is a way to disable it completely.

The proximity sensor doesn't prevent the camera or QuickMemo app from launching off the volume buttons (when locked) - just tried this by covering the sensor - camer/app still launch. However, the QuickWindow case does prevent this action when the case is closed...
Get a QuickWindow case (or stick a magnet on the screen about two thirds up the left hand side :cyclops

Wanted: app to keep the screen on whilst touching Imprint sensor

Hi All
My new 6P arrived and my favourite feature is the Imprint sensor to turn on screen and simultaneously lock it. Having my phone be alive when i pick it up and screen off when I don't is a real feature - what I was wondering is could we use the Imprint sensor to get around the problem where you're browsing and your screen turns off due to display time out. If it were possible to have the imprint act as a "keep the screen on, I'm using it" button it would be fantastic.
Anyone know if this is possible?
Ric
That's exactly how mine works. Finger on the Imprint and the phone comes on and unlocks. If the screen times out and goes off, putting finger back on the imprint switches it back on unlocked where it was.

It does wake up when you touch the Imprint sensor, but it I'm reading a doc and don't want the screen to time out whilst I'm doing it, keeping my finger on the sensor doesn't keep the screen on, which is what I'm after...
Maybe "Stay Alive" or a similar app from the play store might help? I haven't used it for a while but if I remember correctly, you can select apps that when active, will keep the screen from turning off.

LG G3S (D722) - KnockOn does not work after screen replace.

After screen replacement KnockOn (double tap) does not turn on the screen. Screen replaced by specialist. I search this forum and find Hidden Menu. 3845#*722# Proximity sensor seems work. I tried to update touchscreen firmware, but it freezes phone until i take battery away. So phone is working right now, but KnockOn does not turn on screen. What else i can do and how i can update touchscreen firmare?
