[Rom-Cooking] lox-dev style

if ur interested in building update.zips (ie roms) look no further. this guide was made by a great dev named lox. anyhow everything u need but common since is in this thead.

This is awesome! Great find! I dug hours and hours over the past months to find this information in various places.

Porting Sense, Is it possible?

Hey peeps,
I ain't a developer but I have my hands good on Compiling roms and kernels! I have been porting roms lately and I was wondering if we can port Sense from Droid DNA or HTC One M7 to the S4!
I know many devs have tried but they failed but I still want to give it a shot!
A message to the mods: Please move this to the section you think is the best for this thread :fingers-crossed:

All i'm gonna say is framework, it requires a lot of framework changes and such.

Hey guys i found this on the net... in a newbie to android.. So all you people are in the process of cooking up ROMS for our device.. so i thought this might be useful..

Its a list of ported Huawei apps from other Huawei phones.. i think they are taken from an Ascend P1.
PS: I also have a question for you.. guys.. im on stock GB.. how do i / can i install these apps? (i tried regular install doesn't work)
and GB USERS DONT INSTALL THE CAMERA APP IT WILL DELETE ALL YOUR PHOTOS WHEN IT TRIES TO INSTALL AND IT WILL FAIL.

Bro thanks for your wonderful share but,While cooking/compiling/building Android ROMs developers even build the apps together. So i would say this thread wont really help any rom cooks out there. Its just a share of apps. Thanks for sharing.
Another thing is This is the development forums,you could have written in U8800 general forums with the Tag "u8800pro".
I will press a "Thanks" button to motivate you to keep sharing

hey thanx for the reply.. well jus thought you guys might want to include some of this in your ROMS.. and I didn't include it on the general forum beacuase majority of the posts are regarding u8800 ..the u8800 pro stuff seems to not stand out. but I'll keep in mind what you said

Awesome the thing is most of these wont work because these were taken from 4.1 stock Ascend's ROM. Which will need Standard libs or framework to work completely . I have tried them. Thanks for sharing once again.

Yes. some Meizu Phone have exynos prossecor.it's possible.

So I want to start to port miui rom to our phones but I'm not sure that the system will work perfectly or not but I will give a try soon. I will send the result in this post and if the port was successful I will create a new thread for new port rom. If anyone want to help me please contact me at [email protected] with subject "Miui".
