Recommend Your Fave Emulators..! - Galaxy S III General

Looking at getting some old games going on the S3 now that I've got a USB OTG cable and an old PS3 pad.
Was looking for a SNES, PS One (PSX) and N64 emulators.
After a bit of looking on Google a couple were recommended: PSX4Droid & N64Droid, but neither of these are on the playstore now...?
Can anyone recommended some good emulators.
Would love to give Goldeneye and Zelda a go on the N64 again. Not played them in YEARS!

I can recommend you the "FPSE emulator" and N64.emu for that consoles, they're on PlayStore.

I have NES.emu and GBA.emu. Both recommended.

Here's what I have
Neo.emu
cps1
Gba and gbc
SNES
nes
Ps1
Gamegear
All work at full speed
Sent from my KFTT using xda premium

My setup:
N64oid
Nesoid
Snesoid
Gameboid
FPSe and ePSXe (though I like the latter better)
GBA.emu (though I like Gameboid better)
NES.emu (though I like Nesoid better)

I'm using MameCe.
http://www.pocketcult.com/home.php
I would have a better link to DL but my job has blocked all the sites I've used to DL. There's a version that has two files. One that's about 5M and the other thats about 4M. One will play games that the other sometimes cannot run. I'm only using the 5M emulator now. It's OK, but Im looking for another good one myself. I'm using an Artemis and I've yet to figure out how to get games to use the track ball and scroll wheel effectively. Works on some, but not all.

Nice post! I didn't even know this many existed. Question though - I have a bunch of Arcade ROMs (No NES, Genesis, Gameboy, ect) from the 80's all the way up to like Mortal Combat. I can only run a few of the older games with my Artemis overclocked to like 273 max. Which of these emulators would be better for running these ROMS from the Arcade games? Also, trying to find something that will let me use the trackball on games line Milipede.

..or not ! The xperia play is not tegra, my fault.
TigerArcade (my favorite app) works, but is a small window in about 20% of the display. I tried the spareparts apps, but they are not designed for Honeycomb and do not fix the scaling
Psx4droid 1.5 Has same small display like TigerArcade, but does not work.
FPse is FAR better than Psx4Droid anyway, so I can handle Psx4droid not working, but the TigerArcade not working correctly REALLY hurts. It works great on the gTablet, but can not get controllers to work on it.
For arcade fans, TigerArcade is easily the best app ever made for a portable device. It plays all Neo Geo, Capcom 1&2 and Cave shooters perfectly with sound- even on my Incredible. Great and efficient app that does not scale correctly on Honeycomb. I think all of the Tiger emulators have the same problem.
Sure, MAME has been semi-ported to some devices, but none play as fast as this app. Again, it plays perfect speed and sound on a stock Incredible. Not working correctly on the A500 really sux.
Some that work for me
NESoid Lite (NES Emulation) works fine, was able to play several rounds of MT Punch Out.
Robo Defense works, though you have to minimize the keyboard in some of the menus.
Words with Friends works, but the bottoms of the tiles are cut off by the status bar
Also just tested Ninjump (one of my favorites from the iPhone) and it works quite well, also. It is definitely scaled, so the ads are a little more annoying because they are blurred, but it works.

Are the emulators worth it?
It was fun to play some punchout. NESoid works pretty well, I haven't tried the paid version yet, so can't comment on it.
The controls are a little different since you use virtual buttons on the screen. On the A500, it's a bit of a stretch to reach the select and start buttons is all.
Guerrilla Bob THD -

add Turbo Fly 3D, Pool Break Pro, and Stellar Escape to that list.
These all worked - just finished playing the first one, it might become a little addictive if I'm not careful
Pocket Legends
Chess Free

Checkers Free
Dropwords
great battles medieval
this game loads but the second I start a game the sound goes on but no video.. then it just stays black and then closes to the home page... not a force close tho... anyone else has this or know how to fix??

Today, my favorite PSONE emulator is ePSXe. For me, the ePSXe have better graphics and speed. I am currently playing Metal Gear Solid.

I used to play Die Hard when I have a PS1 back in the days . I didn't finish it though because its kinda hard for me back then

I'm gonna finish castlevania sotn one of these days xD also playing diablo and soul reaver. FPSE rocks with analog touchpads.
I went from Psxperia to Fpse cause I heard it's the best and how it could run games like Legend of Dragon, Final Fantasy, Chrono Cross, now I hear it could ePSXe is better but I haven't tested, ah Opinions always change.
FPSE is my main at the moment with some games to try like Breath of Fire 4, Bandicoot's, FF, Legend of Mana, Megaman X's, Persona, Xenogear, Suikoden II, Tales of Legendia (Have only tested 1 minute each)

For long time i used the FPSe, and liked a lot. But after some tests, i changed to ePSXe. However, for me, this two still are great options.

I love playing Dragon Ball Z Legend, King of Fighters 99 and Gundam Battle Assault 2. Also I play the Digimon World when i have more free time.
Use epsx emulator.
jackie chan
sab-zero
Fox hount 1,2,3

mediEvil 2

I was halfway through RE3: Nemesis and several hours into Chrono Cross, both revered classics that I never got to play when I was younger, when Retroarch updated and lost proper Xperia Play support. Guess I could just pick up a PS3 controller and play them, but eh.. Both play beautifully with Retroarch.
Resident Evil 2, was one of the first games I ever played on the PS1. Almost feels like the perfect handheld game to play with headphones in. I actually prefer it to Dead Space.
Also playing the odd race on F1 97, high res for the time and still one of the best F1 games IMO

I use fpse and epsxe for different games. I like the fact in epsxe you can port your savestates over to the pc. I'm on disc 3 ff7 at the 'mo.

Fire Tv - Ultimate PlayStation 1 System (PS1)

Playstation 1 Games play smoothly on the Fire TV using Emulators for Android, because of the faster processor and 2 GB Ram it feel like a PS1 on steroids.
I used Amazon Controller and it was working nicely, you could even connect a PS3 controller, to get the ultimate Playstation experience.
Here is the video how to, Peace:
http://youtu.be/cgayRcYw2vY
I've been using epsxe emulator for playing old PS1 games. I've only tested 3 so far due to space limitations on the AFTV. Final Doom didn't work at all just black screen. Kula World works but has graphical glitches and Tomb Raider Last Revalation works perfectly. The sooner Amazon enable USB to be used for external storage the better as I've only room for one PSX game at a time due to low memory and my AFTV is less than a week old.
Yes me too I would love to see the fire Tv with the USB Storage enabled or even a new model that's offer 64 gigs of stores, because it's can't replace many physical Devices. And I have a feeling that the next fire TV Will be fantastic.

No, no root required. Just sideload the epsxe apk (or Fpse apk). You'll also need a PS1 bios and game rom files for whichever game you want to play. And a controller.
Curious if you have this working with ROM Collection Browser and if so what emulator you are using?
Haven't used this with rcb yet only using standalone emulator but mame and SNES 9x both work with rcb. Had never used it before until tonight so took a while to learn to configure. Will try epsxe with it tomorrow.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Free mobile app
Set one of my aftv with a sideloaded free version of epsxe and the game Medievil last night. All went well except that I had to map all the buttons on the Fire tv game controller. Game play was very responsive and extremely good quality picture.
Is there any way to have games on my network storage and access/play from there?
I don't think that would be possible. Think the psx rom images would be way too big to do this over a home network. Hopefully I'm wrong as I keep all my different game roms on a drive together and would love to be able to access and play from this via a network share.

what is best emullator for use on nvidia? that work fine and easy to use

can anyone reccomend a good emulator which has decent games which run fine on nvidia shield?
thanks
Depends on what you are looking for
Best appearance with nearly perfect play for me has been ppssp, psp emulator.
Best future and somewhat current possibility dolphin GameCube and wii emulator although not perfect play
Retroarch for all around multiple systems emulating pretty well with a terrible ui

I use:
MegaDrive = MD.Emu (Paid for, on the TV PlayStore)
N64 = Mupen64 Plus AE 3.0 Alpha (You can find the weekly APK builds online)
PS1 = ePSXe (Paid for, on the TV PlayStore)
GameBoy = My Old Boy! (I bought this a long time ago and sideloaded the APK)
RetroArch is a wonderful all-in-one emulator but I never like the interface.
Thanks
