Thanks and look forward to learning from the smarter people than me

Ok boys, suggestion time

Ok, so i'm considering switching carriers and giving up my samsung captive for a droid x... whatcha think? Pros? Cons? How do you like it, in comparison to other phones? How customisable is the droid x? Any input would be greatly appreciated lol, I like my captivate, but the droid x seems pretty superior.
I came from a HTC Touch (xv6900) that I had 2.2 running on a while ago... I must say the X is overall a perfect 10.
Why? Heres why:
The android operating system is basically the same on every phone... and if it is too buggy or full of bloat, there are DEVs our there making it possible for us noobs to keep up with how the Android system should be running(I am referring to Motorola's Blur BS that lags this phone down so much it is unbelievable).
So, knowing that the OS of the phone is pretty much just as good as it was meant to be for ya(and yes, the X is getting themes to make yours YOU), that only leaves the Hardware differences really....
So, all in all, if you think you are going to like the X, you will probably love it. If you are weary because it doesn't have a physical keyboard, then go get a Droid 2.
It is the best phone that Verizon currently offers BTW. Some can say the Droid 2 is better because it has a keyboard, well.... So does the X, it is just one on the screen. And, I have better components inside of this phone that make it.. well, BETTER.

I just did this exact switch about a month ago now. Haven't looped back one. The only thing I will say that I miss from the captivate is the AMOLED screen. Other than that, the DX wins hands down in speed and performance.
While the kernal is locked down, this hasn't stopped the first few custom roms from showing up. Also, I think there is a lot more devs and peers in the DX community which will make developing faster and support better IMO.
Do it!
Haha wow, you guys pretty much put to rest any doubts i had about the X, ill start making the necessary arrangements...i guess ill start seein ya around the X forums lol, thanks
and if all else fails... verizon will have the fascinate in a week, which IMO looks a whole lot better than the captivate and has flash! =)

I would advise anyone who is thinking about the Samsung to go check it out in stores when possible.... I hear it feels cheap.
The X does not
i have the vibrant and the droid x and will say that the vibrant doesn't quite have the solid feel of the Dx, though for me it fits my hand better than the Dx. the vibrant is a bit plasticky feeling and it has developed a minor squeak, not as bad as my old G1 though.
yes, the super amoled is a really nice screen but it's not all that 'super' on a sunny day....it's not quite as easy to read as the Dx when it's really bright outside.
they are both really nice phones and as is often the case, it comes down to choice of carrier.....which won't be a problem once they release the fascinate!
I hadn't really heard much about the fascinate except that its a slider, and I'd rather have a bar phone, which is why I was leaning toward droid x...didnt you say the kernel was locked on the droid x though? whats up with that? And I can still use wireless tether on X right?
Yes the kernal is locked, but this is just showing down custom roms (which we are starting to see...like flyx). I use wireless tether with no problems though! Can't wait to welcome another happy dx user!
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
the fascinate isn't a slider, sprint's version is.
Oh ok...one more question, even though im already halfway through switching lol, i heard that the samsung galaxy s series is faster than the droid x...is it super noticable? Or is that false lol...this is mostly aimed at anyone who had a samsung captivate or other phone in the galaxy series
Is the performance super noticable? No. Are the graphical capabilities? Yes.
Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
the only place i've noticed a difference is in 'benchmarks'.....in real world use, they both perform equally well, or poorly, depending on what you've got on your home screen.....if you start loading up widgets, live wallpaper, etc....they both become laggy. those damned widgets, however useful, can really bog the phone down.
i've put the same games on both phones and really seen no difference, other than the vibrant screen looking more colorful.......maybe someone else had a different experience.

Nexus S is awesome!

Kinda pointless post but was bored at work so thought I'd share my views for anyone else who's on the fence about getting it:
I was waiting for CES announcements to see what was coming out in the future but changed my mind and decided to jump in and get a Nexus S. I was coming from an old WinMo phone that I've had for ages (having been a poor student), which probably isn't the best base to be commenting on this but I'm used to android as I've been deving on my housemates HTC Desire HD.
I'm so glad I did, I won't lie and say the phone is perfect as no phone is. It is, however, a true pleasure to use and looks gorgeous (especially compared to WinMo).
I mostly just wanted to put a nice positive post on the forums because there's allot of people moaning about one thing or another to-do with the phone and as with anything people only tend to post when they have a problem or issue. Especially regarding the specs being current gen and not next gen; and therefore a lack of longevity. It's easy to forget that being a "Google" phone means that regardless of hardware it will be around for a while, and will still be enjoyable and exciting to use during that time thanks to the ongoing updates.
The device feels solid and premium, even the plastic backing, and I prefer it in the hand and visually to my house mates Desire HD (which is also a great phone). Battery life is better than most equivalent devices. Sound is crisp and clear. Reception on the same network has been better that the HD. Everything has worked perfectly. The screen is beautiful, especially if you like darker backgrounds.
My only disappointment is the lack of gorilla-glass, but that's not a biggy for me.
The phone wasn't meant to be bleeding edge. It was meant to work, and work well. It does, and to quote Mr. D's "I'm loving it".
Thumbs up Google and Samsung.
Even though people are going crazy over the dual-core phone announcements at CES, but none of those phones won't be available in months and they still will launch with Froyo.
The Nexus S still uses the most powerful harware available at the moment but the feature that it's really marketed for is the fact that it will be running vanilla Anroid and will get update priority.
I have this phone and I can easily say it's one of the best android phone the market. Here in the UK there is no 4G so all this no HSPA+ stuff doesnt really affect me.
agree
Hear hear! I totally agree. This is my first smartphone and I am loving the Nexus S. Pure Google experience all the way.

I understand and agree with wanting the Nexus S for the timely and clean updates, but I've always called people out when they play the "I don't need it" card when specs are compared. There are many things on phones we don't "need," but that doesn't abate people's disappointments. Granted, it goes both ways; people will find anything to complain about (like if it had 720p recording, some would say it should have 1080).
Everyone is different, everyone has opinions, and everyone can voice them at an open forum.
I love the clean black look of the Nexus S. No emblems, no harware, and no icons.

Amen. The SAMSUNG on my i9000 and the T-Mobile & Samsung on the Vibrant are just butt ugly compared next to the totally unmarked NS.
Still, that ugly Verizon logo on the new Samsung LTE phone won't keep me from buying it!

Agreed! My first 'real' smartphone too (my Nokia E63 could be classed as a smartphone, albeit not a very good one, suited me at the time though) and I absolutely love it! I have finally jumped on the Android wagon (lack of money prevented me before ) and I am not looking back!

Same with Australia. We have WiMAX but only in Perth and a couple of other places (not in my area though) but it doesn't support phones. So everything is perfect for me! Sure there are other features that would have been nice to have, but I would never had really used them, so overall it doesn't detract from the experience.

You think that's a difference? Try coming from a Blackberry .
Seriously, I love this thing.
I think I'm one of the few when I say that I like the build. It looks very good, all black. Plastic makes it lighter, and it's firmer. Only con is that plastic is slippery, and of course fingerprints. The Contour Display, although subtile, makes it very appealing, as does the chin on the back.
Especially with Super AMOLED and it's deep blacks, the phone is awesome. I really like the notification bar fading into the phone itself, and that the buttons are not visible when the phone is turned off. We will get the Nexus S with Super Clear LCD here, which will be nice for lighter interfaces and for browsing the web, but I am a little bit jealous on the Americans and the Britons. With Super AMOLED a dark background looks much better, and in combination with the black finish of the phone, it's beautiful.
The Nexus S is my 4th android phone & I love it. I started with a T-Mobile Pulse (I really liked that phone, coming from a Nokia n97!), then the HTC Hero, HTC Desire & finally the Nexus S.
I thought the screen was good on my Desire (when I'm not outside lol), but the 4 inch NS screen is just amazing. I had to get used to a few things though...
1) No notification light (noled app is a good solution, but obviously uses a little bit of battery as the screen is on).
2) lack of trackball (this is just personal as I used the trackball a lot for moving the curser when typing).
3) the phone is really light & a bit slippery (i love the handsets design, but I'll get a case once I find one I like).
4) no sense ui (not for the Widgets, I jus prefer the dialler, gallery & SMS apps over the stock android ones).
Overall, the points I mentioned have not stopped me loving this phone. They are just things I became accustomed to from my previous android phones. I also miss the excellent Facebook integration from sense ui (birthdays in my calendar for example).
Having said all that, I still wouldn't swap my Nexus S for any other phone on the market today. I'm a big fan of complete customisation & I haven't even mentioned the ease of getting full root (anyone tried to get 'S-OFF' on a Desire lol) or the fact I have gingerbread out of the box! Finally, any phone with a screen bigger than 4 inches is just too uncomfortable for me.
There's my 2p worth

I came to the Nexus S from the Evo, and I have to say that I like it more in almost every way. I do, however, have one legitimate complaint, and that is that the wifi connections are very weak.
I just switched over to the NS4G from the Epic 4G today and after playing with this for a solid 8hrs now.
NO REGRETS.. It's fast right out of the box.. I almost didn't even bother rooting it I was so impressed.. Then I did root, flashed mikeyinid's v.5 ROM and WOW. It just got faster...
Amazing phone.. I will never.. Ever.. Go back to a non-Google phone again.. Yeah, it's plastic on the back, but it feels solid.. Not wobbly and cheap like my Epic felt. Swore Tyco made that thing.
I love my Nexus S too, its my first Droid phone, although my girlfriend had the mytouch. I learned how awesome droids are from rooting and installing a custom ROM on. I had jailbroken iPhones and iPod for my self and friends in the past but the freedom of the Droid was what made me want one. I was going to get the mytouch 4g but after I saw the nexus s at best buy, I knew I had to get it, the screen is by far the best looking, and its just sexy. I have had for two months and I love it. James Bond Sabi Dee UV kernal is so smooth, running cm7.

Its more aswsome if u flash a cm7 into it. Totally worth to downgrade back to 2.3.3 and flash a cm 7.0.3

I may as well plugin my thoughts too. I just passed down my Nexus One to my girlfriend and got the Nexus S. I'm quite happy with it!
Things I like about it versus the N1...
- 4" is my new favorite size
- The haptic feedback feels better
- Light weight
- SCLCD makes texts easier on the eyes
- It feels faster overall... smooth scrolling in stock launcher!
- Camera mic picks up much better audio when recording
- Battery feels like it lasts longer after heavy use!
Things I don't like about it versus the N1...
- It's plastic and I'm very hesitant when putting it in my pocket - need to find a case soon
- Display colors don't seem as vibrant, but definitely clear and great color reproduction... just not excellent (again, I'm using the SCLCD version not AMOLED)
Summary: No regrets switching my N1 for NS! The size, speed and battery life made me one very happy owner!

How would you rate the battery on the Nexus S compared to the Desire?
Ahh while we are praising our NS's, I want to say something about how I felt when I first got my phone. Ordered it beginning of April from negri-electronics and was a bit skeptical at first, but after being brainwashed by the ads online and playing with the NS that was on display at Best Buy, I couldn't wait any further.
The day came and I had been creeping on the tracking status every 2 minutes to check the location of the package. I had gotten it expedited so I'd get it as fast as possible, yet the shipping day felt like the longest day ever when I was sitting and waiting outside my house with 3 cups of coffee, my laptop, and season 6 of The Office. After waiting for about 283828833 hours (in reality 3 hours) my package came! Felt like christmas when I opened that box, popped in my sim, and watched that sexy Nexus Bootscreen in awe much like my first time last year.
My cellphone journey was weird.
I started out with a small nokia phone that lasted me quite a long time. Then I 2 christmases ago I got a blackberry. My mother had picked up the N1 at that time and I loved it so much I traded her my blackberry (after countless times of persauding the blackberry was faster and such.. ) From then on my love for the Google Phone spread like wildfire.
And now I'm with SNS. Not Samsung Nexus S, my Sexy Nexus S.

Switched from Atrix to Galaxy S2 :(

But I still use my Atrix.
Currently using the Galaxy S2 as my daily use, school, gym music, and browsing phone. Using the Atrix as a work phone, gps, and secondary phone if my Galaxy dies or just as a plain back up.
Pros/Cons from switching! Coming from using iPhone 4---Samsung Infuse---Motorola Atrix---Samsung Galaxy S2.
Pros-
The screen is just amazing. I don't care how "low res" the spec may have in terms of Atrix comparison. The screen is gorgeous and everything is amazing on them.
The size is perfect (preference). 4.3 inches seems to feel good on the hand, especially for a heavy user. The Atrix is fine at 4 but the .3 comes in great use when browsing and tinkering around.
Hello TouchWiz and Samsung widget placers. The UI stock and even rooted rom UIs are just better than the ones we have on Atrix stock and rom. The widgets placers/sizers and the interface just seems smoother and better laid out.
Camera is amazing. Our Atrix cameras sucked compared to other smart phones. Galaxy S2 camera rapes and pillages the Atrix camera.
Cons-
Battery life on the Atrix (especially rooted and rom'd) is amazing compared to other Androids. Not having to worry about battery is such a relief using the Atrix.
GPS quality on the Atrix is easily better than any Samsung product out. I get pissed when I used the Galaxy S2 GPS which is why is simply use the Atrix when I need it.
Conclusion:
I am happy about the switch and have grown to admire Samsung's hold over the many cult like enthusiasts of the S2 owners. I firmly believe the Atrix is still one of the better phones out and I still enjoy using my Atrix.
I have used XDA Atrix forum for quite sometime and I want to personally thank all the Devs that make us users excited to try out cool little changes to our phone.
Special thanks to Kenneth Penn for being an alien genius mastermind who catapulted the Atrix customization to unfathomable heights. Thanks for the read all and I hope you all stay with Android.

Haha hey man it is up to you. I am a huge cellphone guy and a fan of the Atrix. I have gone through so many different phones in the past years and I can honestly say the two best phones have been the Galaxy S2 and Atrix (in that order).
For those who hold on to upgrades and don't believe in change if improvements aren't drastic... then I would say hold off. The improvements aren't massive but definitively noticeable especially for a heavy user.
I'm more so angry because I have so many awesome cases for the Atrix that I don't see myself using as often.

Otterbox Commuter
Otterbox Impact

I will be making the jump soon but on to the LTE version of the the S2

Yeah, that's thanks to the Super Amoled Plus screen! ... BUT
If you are a power user like you said you are, I have to guess that you spend quite a lot of time tinkering with the phone right?
Well, the quote above is the sole reason that keeps me away from the SGS2 and many other "modern" devices.
AMOLED based screen are gorgeous looking at first (although for many people they are oversaturated in color), but for heavy users like us, those screens are just not good enough.
Please do some research and learn (if you already don't know it) that AMOLED technology tend to degrade with use with a similar effect like with CRTs often refered to as "Burn-In" problem.
I know that AMOLED technology has been improving over the years, but even the SGS2 with the latest and greatest Super Amoled Plus technology have been reported by several users to have the Burn-In problem which by the way IS NOT REVERSIBLE or fixable (check SGS2 XDA forums).
You could say that it doesn't matter to you since you will be on another device in the next 6 months or so which would be understandable, but what about resale value of your old gear?
I'm just saying...

Thanks for the subjective comparison. You're gonna get people who'll want to argue every little point and tell you you're wrong for even considering an alternative, but some of us do appreciate you taking the time to come back and provide your opinion!

What impresses you?

I read online once something I found very true and applicable to our phones. "You can take a brand new Mustang and race it against a brand new Accord, and of course the Mustang would win, but when it comes to aftermarket and what you can do with a little know-how the Accord wins hands down thanks to all the available parts and mods". Our Nexus S is far from a 'New phone' by today's standards, but personally, it is still the phone I chose to stick with thanks to those on XDA Developers.
The Nexus S was thee first phone to get a working port of ICS, thee phone that brought Android 2.3 to the world, and was the first phone to get MIUI v4.0 and countless other ROMs. That alone is something most any other smartphone doesn't hold a candle to.
The reason I posted this was to ask you, was there ever a moment using you Nexus S where something just impressed you? Something just made you go 'WOW' or made you love you phone even more? For me I was just out and about with the nice weather and I took a few pictures, I wasn't expecting much, I was walking on a bridge and just pulled my phone out quick a few times, and painlessly shot some pictures... the impressing part came the next day when I showed someone the pictures, and even though I was hardly focused on taking a impressive good picture, the phone stunned me! I was so impressed by how clear the pictures came out and I imported them onto my laptop to see in more detail just how nice these quick-pics turned out! Not to mention how simple and smooth the phone was to share those pictures. Just click click and bam!
I attached the pictures below if you wanted to see
I love the design. I LOVE IT. I think it's the best-looking phone on the market right now. Many might not agree, but they don't need to. I find the phone very sleek, sexy, elegant, high-tech and that curved screen is just too much sexy for words.
Then, similarly to LGIQEXPO, I was blown away by the quality of the camera. Coming from an HTC Desire, which took blurry, washed out, white-ish pics I found the Nexus S to be FANTASTIC.
These aside, I'm still very surprised by how smooth and fast it runs. I tried lots of roms and just about when I was about to stop searching and stick with Codename Android (1.5.5) I found HAKA's Androxide. OCed to a measly 1200MHz my phone flies. I sometimes compare it to my fiancee's unrooted, stock Galaxy Note and it's really not that much slower...
I do feel lots of :envy: and :greed: about the newer phones... I'd love to own a Galaxy Nexus, or an HTC ONE X, or even a Sensation XE, but I am generally very very pleased with the Nexus S.
Oh, did I mention the stupidly sexy design?
I also love the sexily curved design, it just feels so nice to hold. I got my NS4G in November through a warranty replacement coming from the HTC Ego Shift (aka Speedy). My Shift could OC as high as 1.8ghz but what really has impressed me about the NS is that it is just as smooth and responsive as my Shift was even at the default 1ghz!
@OP: Those are really nice pictures, where is that?
I'm really impressed by the audio sq on the nexus s (with Voodoo Sound), especially considering it's a phone.
So much that I completely forgot my ipod touch until posting this
I just love nexus. Google. Android. I don't know why. I just don't want to get another phone when my plan ends in august.
When my nexus S was bricked a few days ago I was extremely upset but as always I fix it. I love it. Today I see some info that android 4.0.4 is released for us and that makes me even more happy.

I find something new to love about my phone every day.
My co-worker uses an HTC one day he came to work up in arms about carrierIQ (I didn't know what it was). While researching it I discovered that Nexus is one of the few device families that was not "Infected" with it and as a Nexus user carrier imposed malware was not something I had to worry about. Needless to say I was a proud NS4G user that day

The screen quality and resolution really impressed me. I had another phone with android, a Galaxy 3 and when I got the Nexus, I became impressed with the screen.
AMAZED

What impresses me is the performance of the phone. it doesn't lag or freeze... so why upgrade just yet. Plus the screen is just gorgeous. Whenever I get the urge to upgrade I remind myself how badly I wanted this phone when it was released.

I still can't progress beyond the 'accord beats mustang' analogy. The Mustang aftermarket is enormous and 500+ rwhp is easily achievable, while likely not possible with the Accord's stock block.
Sorry if that was just a quick analogy and not meant to be construed as a legitimate comparison of capabilities.
As far as the ns4g... I have to say I was more impressed by my old Evo 4G I miss the evo's form factor, otterbox cases, and absolutely huge development support - with both Sense and aosp roms available.

All of Ezekeel's improvements and morfics new "bigmem", as well as his unethically performance oriented kernel. The extra RAM has an extraordinary effect on overall system performance, unbelievable.

Who came from the Evo LTE?

Like the title says, I'm ready to upgrade and I want to hear from those of you that came from the Evo LTE. Do you have any regrets? Is the phone a beast? What roms do you recommend? I've been a long time MeanBean user all the way back to the Evo 3d and would love to find a rom similar to Mikeyxda's style. I almost jumped ship to Verizon but LTE is getting more common in my area so I will stick it out with Sprint for one more contract. Anyway, if you have any advice for someone that has had an HTC phone for the past 8 years that will help with the transition to a Samsung device fire away!
Me! Also had the EVO and 3D.
Not really too bad of a transition... The first thing you'll notice : the screen is much dimmer. I'd venture to say half as bright with auto. Touchwiz doesn't take much getting used to. Cartoony as hell, but you'll appreciate the little things, such as a robust music player, alarm and quick settings. Lightflow is my new favorite app. Customizable vibration intensity and a robust notification light are nice.
I did! The things I realized are that:
- HTC's camera app is SO much better. Burst mode is much more robust on the Evo
- The low-light on the Evo is better
- Build quality on the Evo is once again better, and I miss that kickstand. The phone felt much better.
- And as stated before, I'm gonna miss the IPS screen, it was much brighter.
Other than that, I really do like the S4, but I don't think it was THAT much of an upgrade from the Evo LTE.
I had the EVO3d for two years, then the EVO4gLTE for two years, and now the S4 for for one month.
Im not picky with a lot of things, and just want great usage out of a phone. I like being able to listen to music, watch movies, internet,
phone, storage, play a few games, text and take everyday pictures.
The S4 was a piece of cake to root and rom compared to my HTCs. The bigger screen is great, and I think its just a clear and bright as my
HTCs were. Ive already got about 20gbs of stuff on my ext sdcard, and Im glad I dont have to worry about not having a slot, like the HTC One. PIctures are clear and crisp, but I do think low light stuff isnt great, but its fine for my use. Build quality doesnt matter to me, as I have had a hard slim case on it and it hasnt come off one time, so I dont think b/q matters. I do miss the kickstand to watch movies. Battery life is all day and Im getting at least 3 hours of screen time during that. It is fast. I have dropped it once, from a height of about 2 feet, and besides a nick in the side nothing broke. Videos play fine and look fine. Sound is loud, and although the One is definately better, the S4 is still really good.
I am completely satisfied with it.
Another from the 4GLTE here, and a long line of HTC phones before it. Wife's S3 convinced me to try Samsung as it constantly dusted my Evo for ANY kind of data connection. And I've not been disappointed. Blows the HTC out of the water for crisp, clear pictures. And no more HTC tint!!
I am really impressed with how it always gets the job done, and very quickly. No more long waits for data to load, and on the same networks. It's so nice to finally own a phone that does what it's suppose to do, everytime.
I came from the EvoLTE...I also had the OG Evo from day one also. This is my first ever Samsung phone..I didn't really like it at first, I almost traded in back in and got the the htc one but I thought i was being too premature. I have noticed that the lighting on this like said before is a lot more dimmer so that takes some getting use to and a little bit harder to see when your outside in the sun.
This does have a lot of nice features and the camera is 5star to me. I just really wanted to try something different. I'm not dissatisfied with the phone but I'm sure I won't be fully happy until the development gets really up and going and there are tons of new mods and roms to try out. It has been slow starting out but Im keeping my fingers crossed it picks up!
I too came from the LTE. I think, overall, the S4 is much more snappier than any HTC I've owned out the box with minimal tweaks. The build quality isn't as bad as some are making it out to be. It feels good in the hand and once you throw a TPU case on it, it has the same feel as an LTE with much more under the hood. The Devs for this device are well known in the Samsung community and they've pretty much cracked every issue we've had to date, which was only with the current update. As far as a Rom like MeanBean, I haven't flashed any yet. I've just rooted, flashed a custom Recovery and been running the stock Rom. I haven't found a rom that offers what I want just yet but there are a few to choose from. Trust me you won't regret this purchase. The camera and video camera blow the EVO out the water and I SWORE by that thing.
Haven't gotten it yet, but I will be this weekend. My main reason is the sd card and better signal. I can't stand the fact that my wife's viper gets better lte than my flagship EVO. The plastic doesn't matter because I always have a case on it and there are a good amount of options for cases and screen covers. With listening to bluetooth music all day it will be nice to have spare battery to pop in. Hopefully the bt signal will be much better than my EVO as well. I'm kind of excited for a change as well I've had the Hero, EVO, 3d and lte.

im thinking of switching from the LTE to the s4 but i love viper roms customization too much, seems like their currentlty arnt many rom options for the s4, and yes i know it hasnt been out long and thats one of the reasons
I came from the evo LTE also.
Been real happy with the S4. I get 4G much more reliably at my house with it.
My only complaint is that the USB connection to my computer seems much less reliable. With the evo, you could leave it plugged in and go to recovery/bootloader/back to system, wherever, and it would always be connected. Frequently with the S4, I have to unplug it and plug it back in for the computer to recognize the phone again. Not a big deal though. Seems to be worse on my XP laptop vs. my Windows 8 desktop.
My screen doesn't seem that much dimmer, never really have a problem seeing it outside.
And lastly, there is not a whole lot of rom development yet, but it is ramping up :good:
Dido. Right from the EVO LTE. Sold it for $150 and picked up the S4. Had EVO 3D before that. I think I made the right choice.

I think I may make the jump tomorrow. Costco has a good price and no activation fee. Plus they give you an accessory kit. Now, lets hope the development rocks like the Evo!

I think you be happy with your decision. Sonic rom is probably where I'll be heading. Looks kind of "meanbean'ish". You know what I mean...
Well, I did it! My shiny new S4 is rooted and TWRP 2.5.03 is installed. I'm going to play with it for a while before I install a custom rom. Right now I'm waiting for my stock rooted backup to complete so I have a starting point if I run into problems.
