Power button DHD

Hi guys don't know if I'm getting abit paranoid but how prominent is your power button mine is nearly flush with the body is this about right? Still works fine oh I've hat the phone 2 weeks.

they have really improved the power button on DHD over the Desire...Ive had my Desire button replaced already...because its not flushed and the design means that it protrudes a little out from the body slightly, feels flimsy after a few months...DHD feels much better, I think its because of the internal design...

to open screen you can use tap tap app and to close it use screen off app. in this way you can protect your power button.

Yea I used that tap tap app just brush ya finger over sensor on the top right hand corner and it works really like it personally

hi guys
i have updated my Desire HD from Froyo to Gingerbread using RsGingerX 2.7.1 ROM
I had this App as well TapTap to unlock the screen that I was using with Froyo 2.2 but ever since I have updated my phone's OS to ginger bread This tapTap as is not working.
any one else having the same issue with that Application.
and is there anyother solution to the problem (not having to press the powerbutton to unlock the screen)
or is is there any other app ?

Hmm, I haven't used this before, but I'm liking the sound of it. There are quite a lot of apps that don't work yet on Gingerbread, I don't know of any alternatives, but it's likely the developer will eventually get an update out for Gingerbread devices

I have no problem with my power button being too flush. It works fine how it is

Hi I found 2 apps worth mentioning
1 AnyUnLock
2 ScreenOff
I use AnyLock my self to unlock the screen. Using Volum Up/Down buttons. Better than Power button I guess

Can not find AnyLock on the App Market.
Could you say if that is the correct name of the app to search for on the App Market please.

hi guys there is an application on the market called screen off and lock if u r wanting different types of lockscrens i think its pretty good and it doesnt just have gingerbread lock in it it had a dozen or so all really coolones i know it isnt nothing like tap tap but just thought id share with u what i found off someone else

Button on my phone is also almost flush, but I'm OK with it...

Hey, i like AnyUnlock, but it seams to kill my security pattern, is there any program that lets you use the volume keys, AND makes you do your pattern?
Tap Tap App, is good, but it reduces power life

The problem with tap tap app you comsume battery quickly since sensor is on all the time. no?

[Q] how do I stop android 2.3.4 swiftdroid rc1 killing my games

I want to stop android 2.3.4 swiftdroid rc1 killing my games. Is there away to stop the OS task killing the forground app. I seem to run out of ram and my games just exit to home screen
What's the best set up for playing games. Are there any other tweeks to help better gaming performance.
Ive overclocked to 854mhz
Got a 256mb ext 3 swap
Supercharger v6
Autostarts to kill startup apps.
I've tried auto task killers to close all apps except thee game I'm playing.
But it just keeps droping to home screen I've spoken to the game developers and they say its a lack of memory ram on the device
I'm beta testing star legends and is not like I'm trying to play order and chaos lol.

have you applied any VM or Kernel tweaks if not give me a a day or two because i am going to upload the tweaks i use and i think they work a treat when playing games Etc but if you want you can PM the game/s that keep closing on you and i will test them on my phone??

Don't bulletproof the launcher.
If you did, use default htk launcher.
This is precisely why I devised htk... bulltetproof is nice, but inflexible.

I've just applied the supercharger v7 that's all. I cant send the beta as its a closed beta but the game should be out next week.

By default it's htk.
It's only bulletproof if you run option 12

I'm trying to play gangstar Miami vindication HD
I've overclocked to 854mhz
Got a 256mb ext3 swap partition
I kill as many apps I can to free 70mb at start of game. But my games still hang.
What's the best setup for playing HD games because there's loads of videos on YouTube with Russians playing the games fine on 2.3.4

@thugimmortal: i think with gt540 you can't play HD-Games -> try a non-HD version

Sorry lol its the hvga version
But even non HD 3d games crash eg pocket legends and star legends

4.0 ics apps malfunction?

I'm running the sense 4.0a ics venemous Rom. I want to know. I have some apps malfunction and I want to know, is this because the apps aren't ics optimized or becUse the Rom isn't ready? Like temple run. It launches fine, but I have to spam the buttons for it to work and swiping right and left makes me jump. No. It's not my bad skills because I tried it on my friends unrooted 2.3 EVO and it worked fine. So is this because the apps don't work for ics 4.0 or because the Rom isn't optimized for gaming. If anyone uses zipsnet ics Rom or icecoldinsomnia, does this happen to u?

the touchscreen isn't calibrated right for games yet. This same problem happened to the ASOP Ics. Wait for an update so it's fixed.

Temple Run works fine for me here. I'm on AOSP ICS (zips)...
It might be the same issues not working on Blackwing's build as well... games don't work on his build either...

Yeah that's why I asked for people using zips to post. So I could distinguish of the problem was because of 4.0 or the Rom. Thnx

I was on Venomous and when i tried to swipe to the right, the little guy just went straight forward. Touchscreen is definetly not calibrated for games. Temple run is a bit more heavy in those terms. Angry birds space works well though

I figured out where the touchscreen is configured to, or atleast for my phone. The very top-rightish is for turning. If u have 2 turns Itl take the left one. If there's only one itl take that one. If u press the middle he jumps, and the top left corner he ducks.

But Sometimes Grapic issue betide when i touched chrome menu.

I didn't see any grapes however I like wine very much.

Sometimes there are some short glitches... but them disappear instantly on my device.

I can check the issues on Virtuous Primadonna, Icesense rom, Primos Rom.. almost every sense4 roms.. lol but i dont know the cause...

Of course chrome is compatible with ICS perhaps the bug is from the rom..

So finally flashed jelly bean....this is what i think

First of all it super fast....
You will love it.i flashed latest indian version.
Pros:
1.more ram,now 770 mb available
2.now it have both potrait and landscape rotation
3.fluid interface....
4.new features like google now,blocking mode are cool
5.keyboard lag that was present in ics has been fixed,now it to fluid
6.WATER DETECTION HAS GONE....NOW LONG PRESS AS LONG AS YOU WANT....ITS BEST PART FOR ME.....
7.FLASH PLAYER IS STILL WORKING FOR ME.i tried in dolphin browser.....:beer::beer::beer:
Cons:
1.dont know why but i feel that text looks somewhat blurry now,eyes starts feeling some strain....maybe because text is small in many places,:confused
So samsung please fix it...
2.don't like new notification bar old notification panel at bottom was good.
3.long home press do not open task manager now,and recent app do not open app drawer...
And position of back and home button have been interchanged,so it will take some time to get used to it
And now there is no screenshot poet button.to take screen,long press power and volume down button together until it takes screen.you will hear snap.
so What do you people think???

Apart from all that u have covered...in the phone menu also there are no tabs for logs fav n all ..which i didnt like ...secondly this table UI sux...the phablet UI was much better..wifi drop has been fixed...over all i didnt like this update...

Its working perfect for me.
Anyway if you are rooted you can download other apps too from play store.

there is no need for an application.......just press POWER + VOLUME DOWN buttons SIMULTANEOUSLY

Its working,just do not leave those buttons combo until you listen click sound.
But screenshot quality is poor.

so i bought the p3110 today and it came with 4.0.3 - and i noticed it was sloppy and not that fluid
flashed 4.1.1 and it's damn smooth, runs as good as my S3
im happy with it, now i just need to find the flashplayer apk so i can watch stuff online
