Sorry for the bombard of questions.
I've recently overclocked, and then installed chainfire 3d plus pug-ins.
However, I cant still install games. Such as Bag It! In the installation process it says Application not installed!
Please help me. Its one of the main reasons I rooted my phone.
Chain fire doesn't have any thing to do with installing games !
Then what does chainfire 3d do?
and any way how to install games which arent compatible with sgy? such as bag it?
Please open your chainfire3d and you will find link to it's xda thread. Go and read all those posts by chainfire about the app its working and how to use it.
Please search before posting.

Most likely the app is for ARMv7 devices only. It is possible that someone could have ported it, so look for an ARMv6. Also sometimes some apps are installed fully in the internal memory so be sure to always check if you have enough free space. In your case though, I believe the game needs to be ported.

How many threads do we need on this, really?
Why do we need a video to install an ipk... If you can't figure it out on your own I think maybe installing this isn't the best idea.

The purpose of the video is not JUST to show how to install, but to give people the confidence to try it out. Knowing that someone else has done it with no side effects, and how to easily remove it. It also demonstrates the actual build itself, showing everyone how it works and whether it is worth it to install.
If you don't like the video, don't watch it.

cant believe this is done by one person
If you are keeping this thread up, you may want to mention that if you install this, you will not be able to install a custom kernel in webOS until you doctor your device. This installs its own and doesn't come out cleanly.

Yep... I just did it, then uninstalled, reinstalled stock and overclock kernals and no go. Stays at the stock speed. I haven't decided whether to stick with Chroid and play with it or doctor.
Update: I was able to get Uberkernal and 1.5Ghz back. However, what I did was go into WebOS >> Software Tab >> Software Manager. Uninstalled Chroid. Installed stock palm kernal (restart) and install Uberkernal. Govnah sees it now.
Worked for me at least.. hope it helps!

you don't have to doctor...
you just have to install the stock kernel back and then install the oc kernel.
that is all.
no doctor needed.
You can also install with webOS Quick Install from your computer connected to USB..

I tried that with no luck lol! I Literly tried everything. In the end I gave up and had to doctor it lol.

It shouldn't have been necessary... did you fully uninstall Chroid through the WebOS software manager? I did it again and without reinstalling UberKernal it just showed up in Govnah after uninstalling Chroid. (Original Release, not the 10/08 one.. haven't tried that one yet).

Anyway my TouchPad is running much better as its not half broken with the tweaks and stuff I tried doing myself
not trying to troll, but im wondering, if many of us are having issues with OC kernals for webOS (myself included), and the android kernal, will dual booting android/webOS be a bit of a pain to jump back and forth between? or this specifically towards just chompers android/webOS?
Steps have been properly reorganised so that its easier to read
Im going straight to the topic=
FIRST-No need to PM me for the link to the website anymore look at the 'EDIT2' section
SECOND=IM SURE THIS WILL WORK ON YOUR DEVICE CAUSE' THIS IS STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL FOR PROPER INSTALLATION SO PLEASE COMMENT IF IT WORK ON YOUR DEVICE OR NOT
THIRD=write in the comment section if this tutorial is hard to understand or not good enough for you,ill try to make it better
FOURTH=here's the tutorial-
Step 1:go to the website look for the name 'Gangstar Miami Vindication apk+data' and download it.
Step 2:After the download finished, unrar the file
Step 3lug in your usb cable and mount
Step 4:Un7z the .7z file and copy it to sdcard/gameloft/games,as for the apk copy it to the root of sdcard, unmount and install via file manger
Step 5:download chainfire 3d and the plug-ins from the attachment and then install the apk then install CF3D driver and reboot
Step 6:Open chainfire 3d and go to install plugins/shaders and select libGLEMU_QUALCOMM plug-in
Step 7:Fix market settings and go to default OpenGL settings and select use plugin, select QUALCOMM then tick reduce texture quality and reduce texture size
Step 8ownload memory booster in the market and kill all task EXCEPT status bar then you play it with no lag after few minutes
Make sure you use a gingerbread rom like gingerdx or any rom you want, just make sure its 2.3 and also, you need to have oc module to 768mhz so that it can be played....
GINGERXPERIA V20 with alfkernel v4 is HIGHLY recommended because its perfect for gaming
Gingercruzt 7.4 is not bad also cause you can enjoy gaming in great bravia engine quality and xloud sound quality
Gingerdx v21 also good for gaming but make sure you full wipe though cause if you saves all the previous data its gonna lag a lot
IF YOU WANNA PLAY THE GAME ON OTHER ROM THAT I DO NOT SUGGESTED YOU MIGHT WANNA FULL CLEAN YOUR PHONE....I MEAN REALLY,DO FULL WIPE,WIPE DALVIK CACHE,WIPE BATTERY STATS ETC,JUST FULLY CLEAN YOUR PHONE AND THEN INSTALL THE ROM YOU WANT SO IT HAVE NO LAG
Pardon me for my bad english
EDIT:Will work perfectly on gingerxperia v20 with alfkernel v4
EDIT2:Most people might be already know this but here it goes=Use Google to search 'Artoseven' and when you found it enter it...not sure you understand the website language or not but just scroll down a little bit and there you go...if you still don't understand just ask a question
Files for the chainfire 3D is in the attachment
FEEL FREE TO CLICK THE THANKS BUTTON IF I HELP YOU

The other libraries are for app that specifically use the other GPU avail on android devices.
For example, you want to play a game that only runs on TEGRA devices? load up the NVIDIA library. Cool huh
Anyway, is these legal to post on here?

Any luck getting Let's Golf to work? I was going to purchase it for play on a custom rom (only thing I miss about stock) but if it's going to FC.....
i think it is because of the libraries, but i am no dev. Something i think i remember seeing before but search won't let me find it now. If you installed it, let's say let's golf for ****s and giggles, open root explorer and go to system/lib and look for libletsgolf.so if it isn't there you should be able to flash a rom, taboonay has them, and copy the lib file to your sdcard flash back to your rom and install the file back where it belongs.

Hello there, it may seem that I'm not the perfect answerer to your rather ignorant (because I'm sure thousands threads like yours already exist) question, but here I am trying to up my Thanks meter.
First thing you should know is that if you want something exactly like Cydia you won't find it or as in most cases it won't work nearly as good. That's why we have our specific Nexus 4 forum here on xda and luckily it is one of the most popular ones.
Before you make any attempts on tweaking, be sure to install a recovery. I highly recommend this PC/MAC tool for almost everything including installation of recoveries. There are two options - ClockWorkMod (CWM) and TeamWinRecoveryProject (TWRP)
They are very helpful if you want to flash (install) ROMs (modded versions of Android), kernels, .zip files that contain some kind of a visual or non-visual tweak, and recovering your phone.
From here on you can install a custom ROM (for visual tweaks Paranoid Android is a good choice, for speed and reliability I would pick CyanogenMod, whose developers have an installer for noobs) with some kind of a custom kernel like AK which is a all-in-one solution or a reliable noob-friendly one like FrancoKernel OR use Xposed modules (GravityBox is an excellent one) over the stock ROM.
There are lots of noob-friendly videos by the xda team, so check out their YouTube channel as well. Use Google and read very carefully before flashing anything. Wisdom comes with time.
We don't need Cydia. We have the Google Play Store, which has most of the root apps you'll want. There are other stores like Amazon and others, if you so desire.

For design try Themer, like most apps you can get them from the play store. As far apps that require root access, maybe search root in the play store? It should be noted that Root is like Administrator priviliges in Windows. In android there are so many things that you're already able to do that, often times, root isn't needed.

Is there any way to install xposed on the shield? I know that the xposed installer page has instructions that supports up to android 5.1, but the shield tv has not been tested on it, nor does it appear that it would work. It shows that arm and x86 processors work with it. So i am kind of worried about trying it. Anyone tried this?
I don't see what about it wouldn't work. I had the romancer unofficial on my Shield with 1.3 firmware, and it worked fine. I'm now running the official latest on Full Android 1.8, and it also works fine. Just install the 64 bit arm version. Give it a shot. Not all modules work of course, but it wolked for me with a module that disabled the safe headphone volume check, so I can confirm that it works.
hi
your opinion is very informative .i think it will be very usefull for the acqusier.

Hi there from germany and sorry for resurrecting the thread.
I've got my ShieldTV (16g) two days ago and I'm also interested if I can get xposed on the Shield TV (and didn't want to start a new thread). Currently I'am running the stock rom (rooted with the xda manual) and don't want to change to full android.
Is there any possibility to get it running? And which version would work? The main reason for me is to get away the ads on YouTube

Pretty sure the official (newer-ish) versions of xposed by rovo work on our shields, although i'd try to confirm that before trying as my minds a little hazy and i wouldnt want to be mistaken and be responsible for folks soft/hard bricking their shields..........im pretty sure i asked this question to zulu in his full android thread, and i think i remember him saying we could.......zulu's guide saying to use romracers version i believe was made before official support came along(which is why i asked the question)......but like i said, probably worth asking for confirmation by a user who has indeed flashed the official versions with no issues
Assuming my minds not playing tricks on me, and we can flash the officials, their, MIGHT, be better compatibility aswell
