Missing icon picture in folder

Hey guys,
When I restart my phone, the pictures of my icons become the standard market icon picture and I realized that these applications that are affected are those that I have moved to sd card.
Is there any ways to solve this problem?

Hey bryant, I had the same problem and couldn't figure it out so installed folder organizer(there is a free version) it works pretty well.

Thanks for replying. I encountered the problem again and I change the scenes for my sense UI and the icons went back to the original icons already. This is a workaround but I do not want to keep changing my scene.
Anyone know how to fix this problem?

I had a problem with my contact icons disappearing in the sms stock app. I removed my htc sense account and all is ok now. Htc sense is very buggy.

I think it's because you placed these app on storage card. All apps on my card have same issue. Don't worry they are still there. Reload your card to get icons back.

ive not had this problem but dropbox is missing an icon completely.

That's weird. How about the others? Any problems with this?

Do factory reset might fix the problem.

Happens to me as well, any app thats on the SD card doesn't load an icon, usually if you manually unmount and then remount the card in the settings it fixes them.
Or if you change your device Skin.
I think its because they don't register right away when the UI loads, the SD card usually takes 3-6 secs to actually mount itself when my phone switches on.

So I have to manually remount the sd card again when the phone is rebooted?

If you want the icons to show, yes.
Or change the skin/theme on the device, that loads them too

Gingerbread Widgets!

I'm just wondering if its me or if there are hardly any Widgets that work in gingerbread? Its my first try and items like current widget install, but I can't see them in the widget list? Any ideas?

Weird I'm using mdj's latest build and can see the standard Widgets but not new ones.

Any advice anyone? Nothing is appearing other than the default items.

I had the same thing when using the SD version of that build.
Just reboot the phone and they will appear.

Go to settings,application manager find the widget you want and remove it on your phone memory..then it should be appear..!if a widget is saved on sdcard it want be showed on the widget section u have to manually save widgets on your phone memory because gingerbread saves all the apps first into sdcards

HTC Desire HD Default Icons

Hi I have dhd but when installing apps then transfering them to the memory card, when having custom folders on the home screen restaring the device causes the icons to show as the standard default android icons. Is there anyway of making keep the original app ones?

I have found a solution that although it works for me is perhaps not ideal.
If you change the 'skin' to something other than the one you are using, this seems to sort the problem. You can then change back to your original.
The only other thing I had to do was to then change the wallpaper back to what I wanted, but this does not make any difference to the solution.
Let me know if this works for you.

when you transfer apps to sd card..u get those icons because apps need to load from the card then.. Give a min or 2.. Then theyvr bsck to normal

This issue is not that simple. Even if the phone is on for days, the icons don't change. Even selecting them to open the app makes no difference.
The only way I can resolve this issue is to do what I said in my previous post. I have also found that if HTC Sense has to force close and restart, then the correct app icons appear.

Swype not working on cm7?

Okay, so i've had swype installed on my phone since i installed the latest stable cm7. Everything went fine. I rebooted my phone today and all of a sudden swype just stopped functioning. When i swype, a blue outline appears around the keyboard. I tried reinstalling the app from the installer and making a whole new account, but the blue outline remains or it says that the keyboard is configured for a different device. Any help will be appreciated, i can't live without my swype.

Go into the setting, then language and keyboard, then make sure swype is checked. Then change the input method to swype, and it should work. On the latest CM7 nightly and no problems.

Yea, i did that. I've been using the keyboard for quite some time. It just won't work anymore. When i try to swype, a blue outline around the keyboard appears and nothing is outputed

Okay for future reference for others. I fixed it. After you install and it generates the license, click back, then enable manually. It works perfectly after that.

[Q] QuickContact component missing

Hi, I'm using miroslav_mm SDSL 3.0 rom ad I'm having an issue with widget that use quickcontact. I'm using GO SMS Pro widget that shows the contact portrait received SMS's. When the portrait is clicked a quickcontact bar should pop up with shortcuts to call, send SMS or edit the contact but instead a pop out the following message: 'QuickContact component cannot be found in your system'. The same happens with GO Contacts widget.
Anyone knows how to get this working because on Google Play, GO SMS or even GO Contacts widgets say that this is working on Android 2.1 or later so should be working on 2.3.7...

Then it could be something related to SDSL.. did you try to reflash the rom? that could help!

Man, I'm always flashing new roms, now I'm experimenting leoposas zoe 2.0 rom, it's basically sdsl but with some tweaks of his... and when i say i'm always flashing new roms i mean backup contacts & sms, factory reset, format system+boot and then flash new rom. Basically cleanest flash is impossible

I've figured it out, quickcontacts component is embedded on contacts.apk, i'm using go contacts so i uninstalled the stock one.
