[SOLVED] Bricked Razr M? Help :( - Droid RAZR M Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey all,
I broke SystemUI.APK on my main install, and I was having trouble restoring it, so I decided to do an RSD Lite 5.7 fastboot flash back to Jelly Bean 4.1.1 (using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=34761468)
RSD Lite got to step 17/19 and failed during system.img -- just said "phone returned FAIL". This then made my phone always boot into fastboot immediately... and RSD Lite always failed at that same 17/19 step. I updated my Motorola USB drivers, no luck. I tried using the Ice Cream Sandwich fastboot, and it also fails while trying to write system.img.ext4... so, I tried using Linux to flash my phone (with JB 4.1.1), and I get these errors when trying to flash system.img:
> fastboot flash system system.img

I HAVE THE SOLUTION!
Make sure you are using RSD Lite 6.1.4 -- anything old will not work.
Here is a download link: http://www.phonearena.com/ftp_access/upload/News/Motorola DROID RAZR M/RSDLite6.1.4.zip

I know this thread is aging, but I was just having this same problem and I solved it by finding a different version of fastboot. I thought that might help someone else... in my case I was using a Mac with an Atrix HD. But after much scavenging this thread helped me figure it out, phr00t's answer to try a newer version of RSD Lite gave me the idea that fastboot versions may be different.

I can't tell how much thanks I feel right now. After searching a long time, I couldn't find a solution. After I deleted two lines with "var" and two lines with "oem", and the new version of RSD, I finally did it! Thanks so much. BTW I'm also using MOTOROLA Atrix HD. Many Thanks again!

Formating Internal Memory

I own a SonyEricsson Xperia X1.
According to SKTools Main Storage is formated this way:
It has sectors with 2048 bytes size and 2048 bytes cluster size. So 1 sector per cluster. Also it is formated in FAT32.
On the other hand Storage Card has 512 bytes sector size and 4096 bytes cluster size. So 8 Sector per cluster. Also FAT32.
512 bytes sector is the norm for HardDiskDrives as well. Optical Disk Drives have 2048 bytes sector (i think).
There is going to be a move to 4096 bytes sector for HDDs starting January 2011, which gives more free space and more speed.
Could we do something like that for our phones? 4096 byte sectors and 4096 bytes clusters?
I guess storage cards are diferent Memory arrangements... we have many tweaks to have bigstorage ROMS, search and read bud

Stuck on Google Logo Bootloop - Nexus 7

My nexus 7 had the randomly turning off issue.
I did the usual; recovery mode, clear cache, attempted to install stock rom etc.
I have got to the nexus logo once, the rest of the time I'm stuck on the Google Logo. It is shown as unlock and I am able to install clockwork recovery but unable to get it past the google logo
Last time I attempted to fix the issue via fastboot:

Any ideas what cause the failed response and how to fix it?
thanks
have you try to install the stock imagen for nexus 7??? be sure that is your version 3g or wifi... the most of the time that problem is related to this

Yeah tried installing the stock image via fastboot. Seems to install but get an issue with boot.sig, system.sig and recovery.sig when its installing.
Would it make any difference trying to do it manually rather than doing one click method?

cant unlock bootloader, tried every method I can find

My nexus7 is stuck in a 'groundhog day' scenario, no matter what I do after reboot it reverts to it's former state, factory reset has no effect and I cant unlock to reflash, any advice? thanks
Everything I've read on this suggests a bad emmc chip or something along that lines.
I do suggest you try different drivers, perhaps from this thread...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1907796
But if it won't unlock , you're dead in the water as far as Modifying goes.
I would return it and get another personally. ?
