EDIT:
Just had to use sudo fastboot oem unlock and it worked just fine.
Hello,
I'm trying to unlock my Nexus 7, i did this before successfully but i had to return my device to google and now i have to redo it.
So i'm using Ubuntu, i did everything via ADB to get to bootloader so that works, then when i try to do fastboot oem unlock nothing happens.
my nothing shows up on my nexus 7 and terminal is endlessly doing nothing.

Hi, I'm trying to relock my nexus 6P, but i have a problem, because my phone doesn't seem to recognize the command fastboot oem lock. I can see the phone whith adb devices and fastboot devices, and actually i unlocked the phone and installed android developer preview. I also tried to install the factory image, but the phone doesn't execute the commands i give it. Can somebody help me understand what i'm doing wrong?
Excuse me. solved. i don't know why though

Fastboot commands were revised months ago. So the proper lock command would now be:
Code:
fastboot flashing lock

thanks, i forgot.
All of a sudden, my 6p went into boot loop today. No warning or anything else. Happened just like that.
I installed adb and fastboot as per Heisenberg's guide, but not able to run any commands.
'Fastboot flashing unlock' is giving me 'remote: oem unlock is not allowed' This must be because I did not enable OEM unlocking in the developer options.
'adb reboot bootloader' is giving me : 'errors: no devices/emulators found'
I tried to install TWERP, but that also failed with the error: 'remote: device is locked. Cannot flash images.'
I tried Skipsoft, but its saying 'Device mode cannot be detected'
What shall I do now?
pls help me..pls
I tried the instructions given HERE..but No luck
Without OEM Unlocking enabled your pretty much at a lose.
Only option is to buy another phone or have your warranty if applicable.

Called Google Support and they are giving me a replacement device
When u get it I'd suggest that u enable OEM Unlocking even if u never root it. It can be a life saver

7.0 ? 7.1 .1?
Yes. I am going to enable OEM unlocking, unlock bootloader, custom recovery and of course root it

Maybe by using Axon 7 EDL toolkit to enable fastboot first (Unlock option), then "fastboot oem lock" in fastboot mode. Refer to https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78267172&postcount=200 . Warning : you need stock ROM (no changes in boot, recovery, system/root etc...) to avoid bricking your phone.
i am on pie 073 firmware... i want to unlock my bootloader ... all the drivers are installed even my phone is detected both in adb and fastboot mode... but when i run the unlock both normally or running uts as administrator it doesnt work... nor the application of unlockimg boot loader works on my phone
Did you try manually typing the unlock command?
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
I've tried this , but it says
Comman failed
No error...

You need to download the Asus Unlock Tool.
If you still have issues, go to their forum ZenTalk and they can help you. They are very fast.
is it okay for me to just unlock the bootloader again?
Do I need to reuse the motorola code again?
Bootloader shows "flashing_locked"
EDIT: Just tried commands fastboot oem unlock and my code
fastboot flashing unlock
fastboot oem get_unlock_data
None of them did anything... Device just hanged...
To whoever has the issue of device not responding, what solved for me was using another computer and only 2.0
port. Using port 3.0, the COM Transfer rate would seem to be too high.
Now all that is left is getting flashing unlocked....
In my case using command fastbot flashing unlock unlocked immediately after pasting it twice
