Since this afternoon I keep on getting a massage to update the Samsung Account even though I did update it a few times completely.
Is anyone else getting this? Really irritating... and from a stock phone.

Not getting it so far, but usually when I flash a new ROM and open Samsung Apps, it asks to update itself, but just once. Try booting in recovery and clearing cache & dalvik cache.
Got it this morning. I updated it and now it won't log in. It keeps saying "session expired"

I got it only once ......
got it too.. updated signed in.. no change.. then it used big chunk of my battery juice!

tried this and updated the Samsung app but it still gives me the session expired error I mentioned earlier.

Well the message to update seems to have disappeared now that I went into the Samsung Account section of accounts & sync and updated it there . Still it has never synced since the update that added a Samsung backup and just says it is experiencing a problem and to try again later.

Having the same problem here.... nothing seems to fix this! Everything else works!
Same here. Also tried from different roms (orange glacier, cm7, royal ginger, and orange sense, and stock). Hopefully just updating the system or something.

If he's having trouble downloading apps I'm pretty sure he's already flashed the gapps.. but to the OP what message is it giving? Not in the toolbar but when you click on the toolbar notification it should take you to the market and give you more info as to why

Hmm is it just saying download unsuccessful? No error message or anything? If so could you get a logcat for whenever you try to download?
Sent from my HTC Glaciee using XDA Premium App
well, dunno how to get a log cat, and if its something that i need to download from the market that isnt happening. ive gotten it to download "most" of my apps a few times, other times it wont download anything at all. and by most i mean right when im done flashing it will try and auto download, and even though it gets most of them for every single one it pops up on the status bar saying it didnt.
A lot of people suggest clearing market and although this didnt work for me (I didnt wait a day like rockstar did) changing gmail did so the problem must be pretty simple . something to do with market not recognising gmail account or something. Unfortunately tou cant remove gmail without reset but still good to know there is a last resort.
edit: reflashed rom to see cos even though working with new gmail "my apps" obviously gone. Anyway same prob but I then cleared cache and data reset and all now ok with original gmail.
i'm hitting the same problem
it started last night after doing a Factory Data Reset.
at first everything was going pretty smooth but then the market downloads started to hang, eventually leading to a series of "download was unsuccessful, please try again." to pop up across the top of the screen.
each attempt I get the same problem, after selecting what to download from the market, the series of notifications goes as -
POP UP "your item will be downloaded"
BUT no download icon appears
EVENTUALLY "download was unsuccessful, please try again."
I've tried clearing the Markets cache and GMails (per another thread I saw) but still didn't work
the fails seem directly linked to the locally installed market on my phone since I have success installing from the market to my phone when on a computer, also the Amazon App store doesn't seem to have this issue either.
The phone wasn't rooted prior to the factory reset (and it's still not)
phone info:
Droid X
4.5.596
on verizon
vers 2.3.3
kernel 2.6.32.9
build 4.5..1
thanks ahead of time!
As of late everytime I go to check for updates I get.... check for update not available at this time. Try again later. Anyone else getting this. Its kind of an issuewith GB coming out soon.

Are you using a p. rom like gingerblur? If so you have to flash back to be able to access updates
Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk
I think you'll get that when your phone is up do date. There is no update ready for release yet.
Edit: I powered down my phone and restarted and checked again. It gave me a different message. It stated that my phone was up to date.

It should update through market just fine, but the su binary can't be updated because it's in /sbin. Don't worry about it.

Thread was on page one of Q&A for the past few days.
As I know v6.4 is the latest version of Google Maps for Android but I'm stuck with 5.12 and there is no update...
I'm new to Android (just switched from Symbian) but am I missing something? Is the Maps version specific to a device, OS version or maybe a firmware?! Please help...
Please... Anyone... Some help for a beginner... Anyone...
No update??
Where you look for the update?
What is the last update date you see on this page? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.maps
It says varies with device... When I check my current version it is 5.12... market says its up to date...

My 6800 has version 6.4.0. Maybe try clearing data/cache, uninstalling any updates and then going back to the Play store to update again?
While you open https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...roid.apps.maps
on your PC with your google account signed in what does it say?
Install?
Installed?
Try to install it from the play store website.
It says installed... Is there a way to remove Maps an then installs it again? I tried in settings under applications but there is no option to uninstall it... Can you help?

There are times when data stops working for a moment both WiFi and 3g/4g. Now it is only for a second but still its enough to make a page stop loading n what not... seems to always happen when I need data in a hurry... I know on my D4 I opened terminal emulator typed su enter then wifical.sh enter let it do its thing and it resolved the issue... with the M it says sh: wifical: not found... "avoid poor connections" is not checked in advanced settings... is there another method I can try I'm on stock new update rooted and unlocked (haven't found a ROM that I like.. all seems to slow and sluggish for me)

Just to be clear.
Also.
Pull what from where?
There was two updates released this one and 98.16.3... I'm going to rsd back to an earlier version and pull the update from about phone>system updates... and keep flashing back till I get the 98.16.3...

How did you take the OTA?
Must do by stk recovery or radio is not updated at least for many.
Or just do my restore.
I am not sure my restore has the bug as I use the Avsi.frankenROM as my daily rom.
My original phone was already updated so I called Verizon had them send me one without the update... rooted unlocked Voodoo'd system update fast booted twrp flashed a few ROMs got stuck used Matt's utility to restore rooted voodoo'd then system update that time via twrp...

That was fast!
All that occurred a few days after the ota push... I "purchased" the device the day prior to the ota... none the less I am about to be on the new base band to see if that helps any with the data drops if not I may just have to flash a few ROMs and hope I find one I like that plays well with a must have app of mine...

in the FWIW department, the only time I noticed data dropping (and usually wifi - never mobile data) is when I'm using an app that accesses FB (such as Scrabble).
other than that, zero issues.
if you're having mobile data issues, could be the tower in your area. try getting the Network Info app to measure your signal strength.
