I haven't seen a teardown for the Note 10.1 3G (GT-N8000) model yet, and we don't know if it has a hidden LTE chip just like the Nexus 4. Just in case you haven't seen the news yet, they managed to make LTE work on the Nexus 4 by activating it on the service menu. I tried it on my 3G Note 10.1 and...

What do you think? iFixit's teardown seems to be only for the Wi-Fi model.

Check it again. For the record, I'm on the leaked official Globe JB firmware but I've tried this on stock ICS before too.

No IMEI? That's a bad sign lol. I am rooted and used triangle away as well but all is fine.
Mine shows LTE too, but that does not mean it has the module.
My S3 shows LTE too, but it is the International version I9300 and should not have LTE.

On the phone app. Try removing the sim card and enter the code again.
No does not work
My Australian n8000 doesn't do anything when I enter that code...
To get my IMEI to show I need to dial *#06#, so maybe depending on where you are (or your tabs CSC) depends on the code to use....
Has anyone tried selecting lte only and seeing what happens

For those who have problems running the code.
Use Phone Info from Play Store.
Its only an option along with EVDO but that does not prove there is a chip on board how can that be verfied
---------- Post added at 07:56 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:45 AM ----------
Its a false alarm even when I install Phone Info on my Lg optimus 2x it gives me the same options including LTE

Well its better than before, as it was a KE2 rom, now KF4 with what is a pretty good radio, KE7 is still the best for me though.
Seems pretty good all things considered, better late than never for those who stay stock and update via official channels
Just downloaded a 5 mb update. Brings back full search. Not sure if there is any thing else.

For those not on LG6 I imagine its larger.
LG8's only apparent difference from LG6 is the readding of integrated search. The actual updates came in LG6.
To get ota updates, would I need to unroot?
Is the update not the unified search fix? Fail I didnt read the OP

What version you running now?
I imagine Samsung's first priority is to push the fix to LG6 users, since they had the feature removed.
Nothing for India yet
Why havnt I received any OTA? I'm on pure stock LFB with no root.
When I go to software update it says:
"Access to the software update service is provided to users in the order in which they request it. Try Later."
Connecting to Kies on my PC says its up to date.

Not familiar with avatar, but in the network settings there should be something like access points, there you would add an apn of your network.

r u sure thr s LTE coverage in ur area !?
anyway to get if hardware problem or not check service menu of android on ur phone then test the connectivity
but to understand if thr s problem from network (not from ur phone) test another S4 in ur area
if u get positive result from these two step
try to flash another stock ROM or repair by Kies
but if all these ways turn negative just take ur phone to service for replace
:good:
Most probably network issue.
Or you are not subscribed for lte/3g.
