[Help] Touch Screen Not Working!

Please, help me!
Since yesterday, 26 august 2011, my phone does not recognize any touch gesture, only menu, power and volume buttons are working.
I can´t use it anymore.
Does anybody know if it is software or hardware problem?
Using custom ROM Sumee 3.1!

Reflash and check whether you still have the problem.

Did you by any chance spill water on your phone? Happened to a friends phone, had to replace some sensor to make it work..
Try flashing another rom, if its a s/w problem it'll be fixed..

Thx guys for your answers, but i´ve flashed it again and no water was spilled on the phone.
But the touch isn´t working yet!

flash stock rom and bring it to service

its software prob. reflash ur rom to stock rom. i am also facing same prob. when i flashed custom rom. maybe its rom prob.

Unlock and Wake using other button/track

Hi
I've just changed ROM to Oxygen 2.2.1 ( from Cm7.0.3 ) and I miss the ability to wake and then unlock my phone using the trackpad.
Is there and app,mod or hack I can use to get this back ?

Go to settings. There is builtin option in Oxygen roms to turn on that. You don't need any mod for that

Where ?? I can't find it !!

I installed it once and asked the same question on oxygen rom thread. Go ahead ask there. Don't remember exactly but I guess it was in settings>display

Sorry I just remembered. There is a flashable patch for it here. Flash via recovery

This is a simplified method of installing MIUI into Milestone2 devices. This ROM is based on Defy's WajkIUI 1.8.12 - MULTiLanguage. It's still a experimental port so not everything is working fine. With this package you DON'T need to flash any SBF into your phone.
Requirements:
- Froyo or GB rooted phone.
- CWM Recovery 3.0+. You can get it here.
Installation:
- Download update.zip to your sdcard.
- Boot into CWM Recovery
- Apply update.zip
- Wipe data/cache/dalvik cache/battery stats
- Reboot.
Working:
1. Compass.
2. Sensors.
3. LED.
4. CWM Recovery
5. Device Keyboard
Not working:
1. Virtual keyboard half size.
2. ALT LOCK key from keyboard ( you can double press ALT instead of ALT LOCK )
3. Media HW play, only support .MP4 hardware decoding
4. keyboard backlight is not working
Please, report any problems you found so I and the other may try to fix it.

Can you describe the headset problem with more details?

Headset button works for answering calls and miui music (long press for next song).

I'm currently using GigerBeta5 and the overall felling is great so far. I'm really glad we have a few options now.
I'm deciding if I will give MIUI a try or wait for a gingerbread kernell version.

Blur is only on Moto official ROM. CM7 and MIUI are 3rd-party ROM, you will never see blur on them.

hello!
running GB rooted (Blurless ROM), i've booted into recovery, applied, the update, wiped data/cache/dalvik cache/battery stats and now, when I reboot, i get stuck in red M (Motorola logo).
have I done anything wrong?

in /system/build.prop, make sure it is

Edit /system/build.prop and delete this line:
ro.media.capture.flip=horizontalandvertical

We have 2 versions of recovery into bootmenu: latest and stable. Have you tried both?

Yap, i reboot for many times and tried both, till now it still cant mount sd card.

Are you using Milestone2 A953 or ME722 (china)?

[q] my milestone 2 physical keyboard playing up

HI , I am new here , i registered in many motorola forums with no luck in getting any help , i only just discovered this problem , some of my buttons on my physical keyboard dont work , but the next day they were working fine again then the same buttons stopped working again , i'm thinking it could be a software issue but am not sure , i was on froyo 2.2 then officially updated to gingerbread through motorola site , but when i was on froyo i hardly used it so wasnt sure if the keyboard was playing up back then , before i discovered this keyboard problem a few days ago i tried to root my phone using a software (petes motorola tools) it didnt root it came up with an error message , so am thinking if this has anything to do with the problem , the buttons that dont work are like half the letters from the keyboard the other half work fine , but when the problem happens again its the same letters that stop working , as i said all buttons started working again the next day and then problem came back again , so i am very confused please help..

Try to do a full wipe (factory reset) from stock recovery.

thanks for your advice , is that the standard factory reset from the phone , if so i have tried doing a factory reset , and it didnt fix the problem ,

you have to root your phone and install the following app from play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.rmdir.ms2debounce use the settings from the picture in the store. if this doesn't solve your problem, you need to send it to the service. mine has it's third hw keyboard now. but now it's fine since 7 months!!!

i tried to root it with petes motorola tools , but it came up with an error , do you know any other ways to root it , i dont mind replacing the keyboard , but i need to be sure its the keyboard and not the software ,

ok so i have rooted the phone and installed the debounce app , now can you tell me is there something i need to do on the app ? how does it work

its self explaining...
just install it and set it up like on the pictures in the store...
it changes the keyboard delay. you should realize it as soon as you start typing. if not play with the settings. if its not better than, you have to use the service to repair your device.

i have tried the debounce app , it doesnt solve my problem even after messing around with settings , i dont change the keyboard i am very sure its a software problem , even if i replace my keyboard i am very sure the problem will still remain , i cant believe i am the only person with this problem i have searched all over the internet no one has had this problem yet

if you want to be shure, flash another rom as cm10 or cm10.1 or ms2ginger or miui. if your problem still exists you can be shure....

can someone post some links how to flash my phone with cm 10 or 10.1

cm10 is the most stable one this time... here is the link. read the first post and do exactly what is written....

thank you sir - i will try this on my new phone - sorry for the late reply , but i have sold the phone , fortunately only lost out by few pounds , but have purchased another one , the buyer has informed it is working fine on a custom rom ,

Touchscreen dead?

Hello.
Need a little help, looks like my touchscreen is completely dead? All phisical buttons are working ok but i receive no Input from the Touchscreen making the phone unusable.
Any idea of what might be and if it has anyway to solve it?

Think this is software caused. Root your device and flash a ROM via CWM =) I highly recommend "ColdFusionX" Rom. Click here to get to ROM.
Hope i had helped you.

I will try it with ColdFusionX but i dont know if it will work as i've already tried with 2 different roms before (cm7 and cm9).
But its allways worth a try
