Hello xda community.
I use cyanimod 7.2. (ezet's built ) With. 32 kernel. For a long time . suddenly I noticed sd fail error, whene i try to take a pic. Or when I try access to gallery.
I have to remove sd and remount it.
Any suggestions?

i think that the problem solved when i re install rom and kernel with wipe and sd format.

Hey guys. I am using lestat's 2.0 build 3.8.. I am trying to lag fix my phone. Have tried couple of times but failed. I partitioned my sdcard but it always showed the partitioned space as unpartitioned and phone wont read tge files in the fat32 partition.
How do i fix the problem?

Does anyone have issues with the SD card after the upgrade?
It says that my 16Gb Sandisk format is unsupported but it fails to format and mount it.
Do you have the chance to format the card directly with your phone instead with the computer?

men, you can put the SD on the garbage because it happen the same to mine to. It's impossible to read it is destroy.

I tried doing it using Settings/Storage/Format via the phone as well but that failed.
Using the SD Formatter from the SD Association worked where Windows Quick Format failed. Never had that before.

Maybe you can search the SDCard in the bin and try to format with the SD Formatter
I had that happening to me before also. This stopped happening after a couple reflashes of the international version. SD mounting on recovery is still broken though.
Too bad the rom never stays operational for more than 1 or 2 hours... it always ends up in a reboot and bootloop until full wipe.

I have updated new 2.3.5 but my screan keeps restarting after Huwei Icon
happens to me also.. now my fone can't read SD card.....
My phone doesn't turn off after i reverted to 2.2.2! When i turn it off, it reboots only. And that is happening everytime! And when i restored a backup, the phone boots only into recovery and then also everytime!

Just so people don't think it happens to everyone, I'm using a 16GB microSD card and it mounts just fine.
Before, when I had an Optimus Boston (Gigabyte GSmart G1305) with CM7 (2.3.*) and the card failed to mount, but after some upgrade it started working. With the 2.1 stock ROM it worked.
Can't tell if the problem was fixed by the CM crew or came from the vanilla android code though.
Hello there, i got a problem after istalling a .zip that was to fix the LockScreen position bug for CM9!
I had a clean install via " and the fix worked correct!
BUT, after i the first boot my mobile WONT read any microSD card!!!
Note.
I can still see the content of my external sd-card in RecoveryMode or ONLY with VPlayer.
Please suggest me a way to solve my problem, i dont really wanna format my device again because of all the apps i have installed, gamesaves, etc.
You can use ICS binder on Store. Tick first line. Save and reboot. After you will have folder sdcard llike using stock rom. Good luck

Hi Guys
I struggled for hours last night to put the latest CM nightly on my phone, I have a 64gb SD card and whatever I tried I could not get CWM to see mount the external SD card, I tried reformatting it as FAT32, and tried 3 different CWM versions, eventually found a old 4gb card and used that.
Please tell me what is the preferred method of flashing these nightly roms?

If it's official, I believe you can just update it using CM Updater in settings

Hi guys..has anyone of you having thesame problem after kitkat updates? When i try to unmount my sd card from settings it takes 30-60 secs and booom!my n9005 restarted itself and as if nothing has happen..my sd card still mounted. I did try to unmount it again and still same thing happens. At first i noticed that when i try to browse my files from the sd card using es file manager .it shows "invalid path" but after i updated the app it works fine..but still the problem unmounting occurs.. i search all over the web but seems nothing was facing this problem before.here r the other infos of my device:
N9005 kitkat 4.4.2
Micro sd sandisk class 4 16gb
Hope somebody can suggest how can i fix this without requiring me to format my sd card coz i do have a lot of files there and i do not have other device that i can use for backup..

I dont know about this because I'm on 4.3 did you tried unmounting your card when u were on 4.3?

Yes,thats what i was doin before removing my sd card.,unmounting thru settings first but i didnt have this problem.after updating to kitkat it seems that this was due to some one of the numerous bug to report..

No problem unmounting then remounting my 64gb class 10 Samsung sd card.. No reboots and no problem...
I am using a custom rom and am of course rooted....
Just tried unmounting my SanDisk 32gb card. No issues, on kitkat custom rom and rooted

Yeah I'm on KitKat stock ROM. Never tried testing it on 4.3 because I updated my phone as soon as I took it out the box haha

Haven't u tried formatting ur sd card yet?the safest thing i can do for now is switch off my fone and unmount the sd card, i really dont want to format my sd now until i have my backup.and i also having a thought that this wasnt causing a bad sd card as you were saying.

Well when I updated my phone to 4.4.2 I did a full factory reset then formatted the SD card. I like to move what apps I can to the SD card to free up internal memory.

I just cleanup uninstall my recent downloaded app one by one and try to unmount again my sd.and finally it was fixed..yeay!
