In the US they're going to charge you what ever your state and local taxes would be, and that varies from state to state, county to county and city to city.

Yes, I live in NJ where we have 7% sales tax and I was charged 35 on the 32GB version.

What about the Euro Zone? How much is the shipment, and additional cost to €400? Can it be shipped to another EU country?

It can only be shipped to countries with play store, Germany France UK Spain and not sure if anymore. Cost is 400€ for 16Gb, 500€ 32Gb, including taxes

Google don't a local store in south florida,so i don't why they charging taxes here..
This why i like Amazon

What they charged me for tax wasn't the state or local rate. It was in between the two rates.

The shipping cost in Europe is €9,90, but prices here always include tax, it is required by law.

Can I order it it Germany and send it to another Europe country and will the cost be 9,90 euro?

Of course not. First of all, the country is determined by IP, and when you fake that via proxy, you still can't enter an adress from another country.
You need a relay you can trust, but that adds international shipping on top if the above price.

I hear you, it just doesn't seem to make sense. If I buy the product it's good for the Google/Samsung, good for say Germany because I'm paying the taxes, good for the EU because customs are probably included, and good for whoever ships it because I'm paying the international (but European Uninon) shipping cost. No harm is done because I could just buy here paying the same EU customs plus local shipping costs and taxes which makes no difference to Google/Samsung, only Play Store here doesn't have it. That's either minus one unit, or I'll have to find someone in Germany to buy and ship.

Ask Google the Whys and Why Nots, not me.

I'll trade you for my 13% tax.

Yeah my tax was $45.88 I'm in Washington State. I wished this device was released around the time when the Infinity came out. Then I wouldn't have had to pay sales tax, since I would still be living in Oregon! Lucky [email protected]***s! Lol.

I can throw in 19% tax, resulting in €64.71 ($83.30).

Final price for the Nexus One

Hello,
the Nexus One costs 529$ at the Google Shop, but there is nothing told about shipping costs and so on.
I want to order the Nexus One to Chicago, what is the final price here? Are there any additional costs for shipping/tax?
Greetings,
Chris
You can just pretend to order it online and just cancel instead of confirming the purchase that's that I had done. Mine came to $575 I'm in San Diego, California.
Oh yes, i see. I had to add an valid address. Thank you.

Shipping is free, but you'll pay Illinois sales tax on it. It's about 10% here.

You are forgetting the tax ( iirc 17,5% ) you have to pay
$583.22 to Chicago. FedEx overnight was free.
yeah shipping to US overnight is free (thats pretty amazing actually). Then theres tax, which came out to an additional 47$ in NY.
What states do not apply tax and is there a service in those states like MyUS for over-seas shipping?

Amazon wireless AT&T for $550 without contract

This is good deal instead of buying from AT&T for $550 because you wont pay tax. Going to buy the samsung galaxy s III tom.
I too have noticed these prices. I know things change from store to store and sometimes associate to associate but I wonder about the possibility of Best Buy matching those prices?
Sent from my BNTV250A using xda premium
That is a good price. It was not that when I got my phone in the 21st. I guess I paid the tax (45) to have the phone on the 21st. I called them to ask why the HOX was the same price as att off contract but the sgsIII was like 650 vs 550. They said they had not even noticed and must have changed it.
Has Amazon started shipping yet?

Would have ordered through Amazon if it were $549 when I ordered from AT&T. I ordered from AT&T on Saturday for $549, at that time Amazon was selling for $649.
Oh well! I'm getting it today from AT&T overnight for free.
Amazon hasnt shipped out yet..
Well at least for me. I have a ETA of 7/2 but dont really care when it comes in..

Well, at least in Washington and California you DO pay tax on Amazon orders. That's cuz they have offices in those states (and probably others).

Where can I buy the G2 in Manhatten?

Im not sure when this thread belongs, so I will just throw it in the G2 help forum.
Im will be flying to Manhattan and looking to buy the device once I get there. I want to step into a store and buy the device, however the prices are much higher tha Amazon. For example, I saw a 90$ price difference between Amazon and Best Buy.
Can anyone tip me on where can I buy the device in Manhattan, but in Amazon prices?
Thanks a lot in advance
I bought mine on eBay for 300, it would likely be more expensive in stores. And knowing NY you have to consider the sales tax...Anyway you can find it at T-Mobile, AT& T, Best buy, Verizon, etc.

Manhattan isn't exactly a cheap place either, 3rd party stores here usually charge MSRP, not the prices you find online.

Another related question:
If I buy via Amazon and have it sent to New York, will I get charged MSRP somehow? Will it have to be paid to the courier?
If not, then why would anybody buy in stores when everything can be bought via Amazon who are cheaper and have great customer service?

Peoples want it instantly and don't want to wait for shipping, rush shipping typically boosts the price to similar levels, also returning an online item is more of a hassle.
As far as I know Amazon usually charges taxes for all or most items in New York. Before it was dependant on where the seller was shipping from but Amazon is large enough that it would bring governmental and legal oversight if they didn't charge tax.
I'd honestly just purchase it from an official Att and Verizon store just to avoid any future trouble or warranty issues. A lot of the g2's on Amazon are the unlocked international version.

Sweet, so I will just order from Amazon a day or two before arriving to my hotel in South Carolina.
BTW, I plan on ordering a G2 for my wife, a G3 for me and a Note 3 for my dad.

If you still rather buy at a store, some retailers allow you to pricematch to amazons cost. Only some. But going amazon route is indubitably the simplest.

I would really rather just buy from a store, because waiting for a package to arrive to the hotel will be make me worry all the time that it will actually arrive on time before my trip ends, etc.
Do you know of some store in Manhattan where I can try this approach?

Taxed on Full Price

Just pre-ordered at sprint website (i have sero) with 2 years agreement for $299 but i was charged tax on full price which is $52 .. how about you guys?
Standard procedure since cell phone provider is paying the difference in price. It is required still.

You are purchasing a product, products are taxed, you pay the taxes, not the business. This happens in 90% of all cases where a product is sold in a state that you live in. The only way to avoid, is to purchase online, from a company that does not have a physical location in your state.
In Wisconsin my pre order taxed me at $18.15 off of the sprint Web site. I wonder if my state will utilise my taxes in an open and honest fashion. ..eh probably not here either, but I'm happy it wasn't $52, that is robbery.

What are the other two...? lol
probably California and Illinois..
Everyone I order a phone from Sprint.com I get charged state, city and county tax. It's a ridiculous amount. If I got a corporate Sprint store the taxes aren't ad much compared to the Sprint website.
For me, it's better to order elsewhere than Sprint.com.
I got charged ~$50 in TX.

Do you think the pricing is fair?

Just having a look on the Oneplus sites for USA and Europe and the pricing has me scratching my head.
For the exact same product (e.g. 8GB - 128gb) EU Customers are paying €70 more when currency conversions are done.
Am I reading too much into this, does economic growth come into this?, I can't see that as being the cause, or are EU People paying too much for the very same phone, or is there another reason?
I dont know, but do USA prices already include taxes? I think i read somewhere that it didnt, because taxes work different on the USA depending on the state you live?

But you are required by state law to pay those taxes when you do your tax calculations at the end of the year. This is not always enforced, unless you are making a large amount of un-taxed purchases which then opens yourself to audit if not paid.
https://www.reddit.com/r/oneplus/comments/9sqyjn/why_is_the_oneplus_6t_so_much_more_expensive_for/
US prices almost never show the tax. That's because tax is dependent on where you live or where you purchase the product. Shipping items to my house gets taxed at 4.5% but if I were to walk three minutes to a neighbor they are taxed at 7%. If I go to a Best Buy that is a two minute car drive away it gets jacked to 7.8%. Each city or county adds their own taxes so having to display that on a web page would be complicated. We don't have a VAT.
