A quick question about the supplied AC charger of the Nexus 10.
I ordered one from the USA Play Store and i'll need to use it in Europe as well. Does the charger work at 220V or is just 110V?
Thanks!
As an electrician, it won't. You would need the correct wall adapter.

Why wouldn't it? My N4 charging adapter works with 110 and 220.
Read what the adapter says on it. It'll tell you.
Just looked at mine, it says 110-240v. Should work with an adapter.
Alright, thanks! I'll just need an adapter.
Can't wait to get my hands on the device... it's been shipped and should be delivered tomorrow

Well you would need an adapter. The standard us wall receptacle won't fit in Europe

as much as carriers molest phones, AT&T is throwing in a free mhl adapter with the Infuse
Interestingly, Phones4U said that an MHL adapter was included with their GSIIs when I enquired about price last week.
Hey guys, I have a UK Xoom and the backend of next week I am off to New York for a wedding for a week. I want to take my Xoom with me however I am unsure if I can charge it with my UK power adapter. It's obviously rated for 220-240v will the lesser voltage of the US power supply still charge though my current adapter or will it not work altogether? I have no idea how I am going to charge it if I can't use my UK adapter. :-S
Sent from my XOOM using XDA Premium App
Can't speak for a UK xoom. I got, one from the US and use it in australia.
My charger states 100-240v and I can use mine here or in the US....in fact in many countries, I just need a plug adaptor, not a voltage convertor.
not a problem. just get an adapter.

you can check your local hardware store, or even best buy, etc.

You are quite right, I just asumed it wouldn't work in the US as it was a UK adapter but they do indeed seem to be generic adapters! Mine also states 100-240v, thanks Sickboy.
I was just looking at the specs for the official charger (link) and it says "For use in the United States only". I know you'd obviously need an adapter for the plug prongs to fit if used in Europe, etc., but I'm concerned that their warning means you also will need a converter?? This would be shocking, so I'm checking with you all to see what you think. Thanks!

I think it is probably an over-cite & they have put the stock US description & photo on the UK GooglePlay Shop. If it isn't you just need a little travel adapter plug. But you don't need a step down converter.
Power adapter works gloabally (with adapter)

kalipedia, The page states input voltage 110V-240V. This is fine for most (if not all) countries in the world. You would just need an adapter to allow it to be plugged into the outlet.
This will be useful when I go and visit my parents in the UK.
Ok - thanks for the confirmation. I was getting a little paranoid by their only-works-in-the-US disclaimer. Like I said, would be shocking if it required a converter!
It's only a normal micro USB charger, although it does output at 2 amps. I'm sure you can buy a 2A micro USB charger on ebay or elsewhere if you look hard enough.
I've purchased a nexus player from the US and having it shipped to the UK. Now I realise the AC adapter that comes with it will have a US plug. So my question is can I buy a compatible AC adapter that has a UK plug and if so could anyone post me a link or specification for one?

Ah yeah of course didn't think of buying an adapter! And no our mains voltage is 230v I think.
I'm about sick and tired of the terrible USB cable that came with this phone. Fast charging with the OEM cable is nearly impossible!! Can anyone recommend me a decent quality USB cable that supports fast charging and at least 6ft on Amazon? I would really appreciate any recommendations. Thanks!
if you're in the UK check out the betron pleated USB cables. Fast charge compatible and only £3.99 free delivery. works great

Yeah I'm in the US, I tried two purchases but didn't have any luck with delivery to US. Looks like exactly what I'm looking for though.

I second this. I got a red one of these cables and can't believe how good they are.
Fast charge as soon as plugged in, no more unplugging and replugging to get the fast charge to work.
Connecting to pc works flawlessly as well and data transfer speeds are fast.
Do you know where I can purchase one in the US? Or possibly even one that will just ship to the US? I can't find anything online that will ship to the US.
