Double post and u need help with?
Sent from my GT-I9450
OK, It seems indroider has trouble flashing the correct ROM and thinks he needs access to the development forum to ask his questions, which he doesn't. I also have seen a fair couple of helpful posts to guide him in the right direction, so this one can be locked.

Running CM 5.0.2 and flashed gapps-passion-ERE36B-2-signed
Prior to flashing that. I was getting 600 kbps(always got this from home) now im getting 199kbps. Can some one please guide me to the original stock radio(I think its ER79not sure)? I assume all I would need to do is flash it over current. Please advise. Thanks.

probably the reason why google haven't made that version offical.
if you search on the development section, there are posts there which guides you on how to go back

Go back to what???? It would nice to know what I'm trying to go back to, when I'm searching for ......Ahhh... ok, found it 'ERD79' is the original shipping ROM. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=619801 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=619801
I believe the 'B' stands for beta - and it's highly possible that that version has some serious extra debugging traces or whatnot.
I'd wait for the official release...

you will need to downgrade to 2.2 first. there is a guide in the development forum which will help you do that and then you can root using visionary or anything like that.
Got it done finally! Thanks
Once rooted can you upgrade to 2.3 and all will be fine or do you have to stay with 2.2?

If you flash any official update, you will lose root.
There are pre-rooted versions of the Gingerbread update in the Development section. That is what you want to flash.
A while back when ICS was first leaked, I flashed it.
My A500 is not rooted or unlocked or anything. It was completely stock HC.
Whatever it was that I flashed, I was able to flash using the built-in recovery tool.
Under Settings, it says this:
Image version: Acer_AV041_A500_RV05RC01_PA_CUS1
Build number: Acer_AV01_A500_1.033.00_PA_CUS1
Now all the threads I'm reading about flashing newer roms says I have to be on GEN1 first. Searching for PA_CUS1 doesn't give me any results.
What do I do, where do I go, what can I flash from where I am now?
And pointers would be greatly appreciated.
this is not a forum for questions. should have posted this in Q&A forums buddy

Thought about that, but this question is specifically about what this forum is designed for. No? Regardless, a mod can move this thread if they feel necessary. But thanks for taking the time to post. I think.
:highfive:
i think your on the first build of ics, have a look for the root method and see if you can root the rom your running, if successive i would then recommend you try using the flexreaper extreem v5.1 the latest and greatest from civato ,
if you reply ill try to help more in-depth but i just got back from a engagement party and its 3:30 am sooooooo...u know
note: im so luving the new :highfive: highfive emoticon :highfive::highfive::highfive:

I thought I'd jump in to make a suggestion before you get filleted like a fish. Please see this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2145848. It will tell you EVERYTHING you need to know. Read, re-read if necessary; trust me, it's all in there. It's VERY well written with a tremendous amount of time spent to help all of us out.
I think the thread linked above should answer your question pretty well. Also, in future please search before posting and post questions in the Q&A forum.

like they said above....read.
however, to answer the question simply, if you want to update to stock ota after rooting, you will need to reflash stock recovery, then you can either wait for the notification to update or you can download the signed ota zip and sideload it with stock recovery. you do not need to worry about actually being rooted....this does not affect whether you can update or not. what does affect it, though, is the recovery you have installed. and in order to root, you needed to install a custom recovery. This must be revered to stock prior to updating.
Hello everyone! I just rooted my Droid RAZR M last night, and I would like to download SlimRom 4.3 for my device. Unfortunately, I am absolutely a newbie.
Can someone kindly provide me a detailed walkthrough on how to get this ROM on my device without screwing up or bricking my phone? It would be greatly appreciated!
Here is the link to the ROM I'd like:

What exactly do you mean by "You are locked"? Does that mean I can not download any ROMs without risk to my phone?

Your bootloader!
Did you unlock prior to...78 or ...3?
Read my 1st signature link, If you are not on tapatalk.
If your bootloader is locked, you can't run Slim. If you're on the last two OTAs, you can't unlock your bootloader. If you're rooted, you can load SafeStrap to run some ROMs, but there are only a few that work on SS. Here's a hint: read the the entire ROM OP, prior to flashing. Most of them will tell you if you need an unlocked bootloader.
