Hi Everyone,
I'm trying update my tab through Samsung KIES but I'm receiving a message saying that it doesn't support initialization. What could be wrong?

You are trying to update via firmware initialization. The P7500 does not support firmware initialization.
You have to do it via OTA or simply, after connecting your Tab, you will see in the main screen of Kies, your current firmware and the latest version available.
There's a button that says update.

today I noticed a problem when I connected my Samsung galaxy s4 i9505 to my pc and started KIES
it only showed the current firmware version,
it did not show the latest - for some reason
now my mobile is not rooted or anything,

I have an Factory unlocked international version Galaxy S4 I9500 bought from US
AP : I9500UBUBMG9
CP : I9500UBUBMG9
CSC : I9500UUBBMG9
In Kies, current firmware version : PDA:MG9 / PHONE:MG9 / CSC:MG9(TPA)
Am using it in INDIA, as the Android 4.3 updates are out in India, Am unable to update,
OTA shows - The latest updates have already been installed.
Kies shows - GT-I9500 does not support initialization.
How (Kies/OTA) can I update in india if the 4.3 updates (for I9500) are releases in US.
Why does Kies shows - GT-I9500 does not support initialization.
can i update 4.3 US update in india through OTA(wifi).
Plz help

Hi. you using your phone in india doesn't mean that you can get the indian update for panama (TPA) firmware. you can wait until the panama update rolls out or you can download any firmware you want from sammobile and flash it with odin.

I have the same problem. My galaxy s4 i9505 is from UK, i think is unlock because and i'm using in Portugal with vodafone and have the same problem, kies and ota doesn't recognise the update to the galaxy s4.
as far i know the update already has been release in UK and in Portugal, unlocked or from any carrier has the 4.3 version release.
how can i update my phone ?

U have one update for Kies now: HERE. If u have problems with Kies, flash it with ODIN. When u finish of install this firmware update ur Kies too (coz Android 4.3 use Kies 3)
Hi. I have the i9505 and my CSC is BTU. When I check on Sammobile if there is an update, it shows that the latest is XXUFNC4 which is available by Kies. But when I run Kies, it says my phone has the lastest update at XXUFNB8. Any idea why i'm not receiving the new update?

Download stock ROM at Sammobile.com and flash via Odin

NB8 is the latest version for the regular S4. NC4 is for the Black Edition S4

Hello Guys,
I recently bought a refurbished Galaxy s5, and ever since it has been failing to update OTA and thru kies,
So i flashed it to Poland's Lollipop update thru Odin,
after doing that, i downloaded the phoneinfo samsung and noticed that the product code is "not active", which is the main reason to not being able to update it OTA and thru kies.
so i was wondering if anyone has any solutions for this problem ?
Kindly check attachments for further info about CSC & Firmware.

i tried to update but fail because of root so i tried Samsung Kies 3 but it says that i have the latest update which is Kitkat
why Kies can't find update that OTA found???
and i searched over the net to update manually but all sites says that latest update for my country is Kitkat although OTA said lollipop

Root breaks the link to OTA and Kies updates. I recommend you this steps for avoid problems:
1. Install this APP and look for your CSC code (Pic 1).
2. Look for that 3 letters in "Select Country" -> HERE. It will tell you of what country is your device.
3. Download, unzip and flash via ODIN the latest firmware for your device (Pic 2).
