No root Doesn't need cwm, install the root files from the stock recovery then using the rom manager from market install the CWM. BTW mobile odin needs root so it won't work with you Untill you root

Go to the thread "Root galaxy tab 10.1 the easy way". You will find the link to the file you need. Put the "update.zip" in the root folder of your tab. Reboot into recovery by switching off your tab. Press the left volume button and hold it while powering on your tab. Wait for the recovery options. Now press the volume up botton again and then vol down. Choose the option "install zip from sdcard". It will give you root access and install superuser. Now you can download busybox from the market and complete the root from within busybox app.
connect first is the right way
First .... I think you should have a pc connection to your tab ,, Transfering Files and data through the usb port is fast ,easy and useful
You nay try Install new "Windows 7" to your pc , I'm using Windows 7 and first time I connect my tab to my pc It found its driver itself (may be through internet / not sure)
ODIN is useful /// by the way you may try Mobile ODIN :good::good::good:

I think I nearly understood you...if you have a red cross on the battery icon it shows that you are still running android, huh?so you need to turn off your tab and go into download mode, because Odin detects your tab only then.please feel free to ask if you don't know how...
yes you are right I'm running android ( big smile )
i did exactly like you said but no luck. still waiting usb cable.

Connect your pc to your tab when you are in android, make sure your tab's drivers are installed,go to here:
sites.google.com/site/arashtarafar/
Download "recovery.tar.md5" at the bottom of the page...
Put your tab into download mode(a green android image will appear on the screen),launch Odin, connect tab to pc,if you don't have the tab's drivers but have an internet connection, windows(mine windows 7) will automatically search for and install them.if so,wait until finished, then you should see a text with yellow background showing "COM X(1,2,3,...)"that tells that your tab is detected by Odin, now in Odin press the pda button and in the browser window that appears choose your recovery(you've downloaded that),wait until a word "PASSED" with green backgroung appears, disconnect tab from pc...go into recovery,if you see a rolling screen press the power button to restart tab, then go to the above link and download "bootloader.tar.md5",flash this with the above instructions...
Important Notice: Do Not Flash The Bootloader If You Are Running Stock ICS!!!It Causes Flickering Unlock Screen!!!You've Been Warned!!!

[Solved Like 9 Months Ago, Staph!!]Stuck on galaxy y logo please help!

All you need to do is.. go to recovery and wipe data.. then reboot.. it will work
..
Also, remember.. whenever you flash stock via Odin.. do the above steps..
This thread serves the same purpose of this..

You have odin and the stock rom files too? If yes remove the battery and put it in again. Press and hold volume down button home button and lock button and you will be in download mode. Now just connect the phone start odin put the three files on it(pda, modem and csc) and flash and you are good to go

Maybe a conflict between Odin and Kies. Close all kies processes. And be sure that you are in download mode.

Volume down + home + power*
It isn't always necessary to uninstall kies. Reinstalling the drivers only will do.
You should not have any problem if your able to access the "download" or "odin" mode (volume down+home+lock screen). Try to youtube flashing via odin if you are having a hard time with all of this. I believe that visual aids would become very helpful.
Btw. What did you do your phone?
Sent from my GT-S5360 via freenet
Surely, its the drivers.
1 Uninstall KIES
2 Install Drivers ( You can even use Windows Update)
3 Try flashing
How old is your pc maybe its problem with pc... like mine for example its like 7 yrs old already and all usb ports at back are not working except for the two in front but my pc cant detect my phone in download mode, had to use my grandparents laptop just to flash using odin...... but funny thing is i can use adb just fine except for a few times where it cant detect my phone too... same for using mass storage

Probably your phone is bricked.
try the following,
1. take the battery out once and put again (to make sure its off)
2. connect the usb cable to phone and connect to your system
2. press vol up + vol down + home button + power button at the same time for few seconds and you can hear a beep sound from your system and can see that windows found new hardware and will install drivers now continue installing original firmware using odin.
hope this helps.
message me if you need more information.
Note: Ofcourse its your risk am just trying to help you

Hey there! Before flashing STOCK ROM. Make sure you have a back-up first. (Just in case) Then, make sure the USB Debbugging Mode is enabled in your SGY. Install USB Drivers to your PC and the firmware package for your country/region. Then put your phone in download mode by pressing the combo buttons simultaneously. Power+VolumeDown+Home. Just follow the steps on how to unbrick sgy. Google it. I know you can
Press Thanks please if I helped you :good:

Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 SM-G7102 not charging and turn on

PLEASE HELP me. i just charging my samsung grand 2 sm-g7102 and the downloading mode was appeared and after that my phone not charging and turn on. what can i do for this problem ? thanks in advance!
Hello..
That sound pretty wierd but can u enter recovery or download mode manually by pressing vol +-, home and power button? If not... Then I would recommend you to claim for a warranty ( if applicable ).
Might be hardware problem.
Sent from my 4027N using Tapatalk
you need to flash your phone by Odin in pc
and try to flash a recovery first
just start Odin and select the zip file then connect your phone to the pc and see if the phone is detected
if it's not then maybe your phone is hard braked that time you need jtag and search about the problem more in xda
