[Q] Got a Nexus 7, new android user, few questions - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey everyone,
I am a new xda member, just got a nexus 7 about 2 days ago, and new to android, so far its awesome!!!!, and this website is so helpful, went through a lot of threads here before deciding on a nexus 7. but i still have a few questions.
So i got my nexus 7 from office depot (32 gb), but i returned it and got another one, because it had a slight screen lift problem on both left and right.
But the one i have now has a slight screen lift on the middle left of the screen, its really slight though, the only way you can tell is only if you carefully examine it. all the other sides are fine, just slight lift. I was just wondering do i have to return it and get a new one, i mean it wont be problem in the future right?? like the whole screen wont fall apart or something? I checked for other defects and there is none, no flashing issues, no blown out speakers, nothing else. what are your thoughts??
Secondly, sometimes the nexus 7 gets warm, specially during games, thats not gonna be a problem right? not hot, just warm, specially during tegra zone games. Like it wont melt the glue and loosen the screen right?
Lastly, once i pick up my nexus i cant seem to put it down, is this an addiction problem, do others experience this as well?
Thanks

I'd sell it and get an ipad or something, I mean you've seen the pictures of one that got warm an actually caught fire. Let's face it, poor build quality, no QC, overheating issues. You really wasted your money on this duffer!
Just kidding, course it'll get warm when playing games, like most things the CPU will get hot when used :screwy:
And lastly it's like when you first found your **** and you couldn't leave it alone, you'll get bored with it after a while

I got my first Nexus 7 when they first came out.... It's been permanently attached to my hand ever since. Welcome to the club!
I've never had a screen lift, but there are threads around on how to fix it, but no, it won't eventually just fall off.
As for heat, it's normal, your tablet will turn itself off before it gets to any dangerous temperatures. And it won't get that hot without some pretty savage voltage and oc mods (see clemsyns elite kernel)

If there is a little bit of a screen lift I'd go exchange it again. It'll just get worse in time..
Welcome to Android!

Is anyone actually happy?

So I picked up my Nexus 7 from GameStop, and I can't express how happy I am about this purchase! I always see everyone complaining about dead pixels, lifted screens, etc. Are there other people out there just as happy as me? I don't see anything wrong with the hardware, and 4.1.1 runs beautifully, couldn't be happier!

It's hard to say, since mine hasn't arrived yet. I'm in Aus, so that's expected.
Most of what I've heard is very positive, though.
I'm happy love it at this price!
Mine appears to be perfect from the play store except the flicker issue.

Its fair to say that reading XDA around the launch of a new bit of hardware you've bought will make you paranoid as hell.
A lot here sit at home with their forensic kits waitng for their new equipment to arrive then put the thing through an hours inspection at least as soon as they get it. They'll have all the weird test patterns for the screen that XDA have produced along with microscopes and measuring calipers.
In other words, if you want to feel good about your new toy, probably best not to come here for a bit.... It can be the OCD centre of the internet at times.
I might be when mine arrives next month if it is defect-free
I recieved mine in Melbourne, AUS yesterday with the screen completely stuffed - Washed out, burn-in and uneven backlighting!
So no, I am not particularly happy, but if mine was good then I would be VERY happy.

I agree 100%, everyone waiting on their 7 should avoid these forums for a minute... when I was on my way to pick mine up, I was paranoid as hell, couldn't stop thinking about dead pixels, or something.. and I usually have horrible luck when I buy retail products, I always get the defects. Guess someone was watching out for me for the 7 ahaha

I had to return mine due to faults, but I'm still very happy with it! Faults happen, esp on new runs, and historically I've been very lucky with my tech. I'm not happy I have to wait to play with it again, but that'll be outweighed by the replacement arriving fault free. Enjoy yours!

Got any pics?
It's a $200 device so you can't expect the screen quality to be like a Pioneer Kuro.... Its a decent screen for the money, but yeah its not HD S+ AMOLED. Its not $800 either.
If mine didn't have dead pixels and screen bulge.....I'm sure I'd be happy.

I admit if there were a few things that were native to the N7 I'd be ALOT happier .( support for flash- I know this is Adobe's main fault, a sd slot , a rear high quality camera, Gorilla Glass instead of CorningĀ® Fit Glass , plastic bezel replaced with a metal one, ) But hey what can you expect with a price just above the $200.00 mark ?
Overall I'm happy so far.
-I'm having some issues with the touch pad/lag in games but I'm now blaming that on immature Tegra drivers .Hoping an update fixes this soon.
Picked up from Gamestop!? Off topic, but you got yours today? As in they just called you and said it was in? =.D
...Or was it more along the lines of you just saying you got it from Gamestop some days ago? =.[

Yes your right, SD card is a big one. For the camera, I have an upgrade in march (Verizon) and I plan on getting the best android phone I could get my hands on. But I have the 16gig so I haven't ran into an issue with memory yet. Also gorilla glass would have been lovely, and the metal over plastic of course. But being my first tablet, for only 250$, I could definitely overlook some of these faults!
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium HD app
I'm not particularly happy. Mine arrived dead, and remained dead even after being left on charge overnight. Reading through these forums, this is the list of faults I've seen.
- Dead on arrival
- Dead after a few hours use
- Light bleeding down side of the screen
- Screen/colour washout
- Yellow tints on the screen
- Image retention lasting minutes
- Dead pixels
- Screen glass bulging
- Creaking screens
- Erratic touch screen / dead zones
- One legged type sound from speakers
- Microphone dead on arrival or failing within days
- Endless NFC force closes on first boot
- Lag
However, I do agree with kitch9's sentiment. I'm guessing only people with faults are posting and I'm hoping there's plenty of perfect devices out there somewhere! It is a human trait to tell more people if you receive bad service, rather than good.
Mines is running perfect and defect free. Always seem like no matter the product, there's always a percentage that has issues or people that has gripes with it. Don't let those mess up your experience with your device. Its a great deal and it performs better than most high end tablets/phones out right now. Its a great deal for the power you get. Very happy to own one.
I'm happy my I/O unit is perfect
Well sort of ie: random crashing (NFC mostly, menu buttons crashed once) flickering, top bar freezing, dead pixels (3 of them), speaker volume sucks. Urgh the glass on this sucks! I have micro scratches already! My 4S and iPad combine don't have as many!
But its all cherry other wise

Picked mine up from Gamestop and it had no faults. I was the only one in my town to pre-order the thing which is surprising. Its because my little Nexy didnt have to share a box with others so he slept unharmed while he was on the plane
Mine is perfect. No lag, no light bleeding that I can see when using, audio works, no screen lifted, battery life is great (first charge last night, and only because I forgot to turn off Dice so it kept the tablet on, doh!).
I love mine. Got a nicely built one , just like my galaxy nexus was. Although we shouldn't be guessing and hoping for products that we are paying for..

Who isn't going to RMA due to screen raise?

Who isn't going to send their nexus 7 in for exchange / repair ? I would probably have never noticed the screen issue if I wasnt reading the defect threads. I bet if you look hard enough you can find something wrong with anything. Right now the only issue is a slight raise on the left side on mine. There is no light bleed and no dead pixels or ghosting. I feel if I sent mine in and waited for however long it takes I'll get one back where the screen raise is fine and have a new issue like light bleed and dead pixels...

Yes many have concluded it as a temporary fix

Lol how do people find this stuff mines is barely raised on the left side not bad enough for me to take apart and tighten the screws.
I'm not doing an exchange I love this thing and not ready to part.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
I checked my screws and found that they were loose and tightened them up, screen still barely sits above but solved the creak. I have 3 more weeks to tinker with it, my Gamestop said i can return it once the next batch comes in but if this fixed it i won't exchange it.
Yeah I'm not planning on returning it either. I have seen some videos that have a MAJOR raise on the screen. Mine is just a little bit and can easily be pushed back down if I want to. Other than that the tablet is perfect and I don't want to send it back and maybe get one with more dead pixels (only noticed one but et normal viewing distance I can't see its there) or ghosting or something else.
I do recommend you keep an eye on it and make sure not doesn't get any worse. I doubt it will, however I will be exchanging it if it does.
Sent from my Nexus 7
I think everyone's expectations for a $200 dollar tablet are too high.
I am perfectly happy with mine. I have a little screen raise, but haven't noticed any creaks. I will use it until something significantly better comes out, then i'll spend another 200 to upgrade it.
Phones with comparable specs (albeit a smaller screen) are in the ~$400 range (gnex).
Mine was fine for the first 5 days, but has now started to lift. It sounds like double-sided tape coming unstuck. It's only raised about 0.5mm above the frame on the left hand side though, so I don't intend to return it unless it gets a lot worse, or it begins to affect other things (e.g. dust getting in, or digitiser playing up).
May yet return mine for ghosting, though doing a full discharge of the battery MAY have cured that issue (fingers crossed).
Why can't I get through Googles own support site to do a rma on my Google device? Wtf
Because everyone and there mother has flooded them for RMAs :/

Im thinking about sending my nexus 7 because of a yellowish tint on one of the corners when viewing pure black. But I am afraid of getting one with worse issues like the raised bezel or dead pixels.
Sent from my HTC Sensation using xda premium
If I only had the slight screen rise I would probably keep it, but I have a creak on the right that is loud and driving me nuts. Sadly, everything else seems perfect - hopefully my next one will be truly flawless...
I'm not. My Nexus 7 looks very well made, and in perfect shape. I've had it for 24 hours.
Is their support 24 hours? I've been busy and finally called. I've been on hold for about 10 minutes and it seems like they're open...
Yea I wasn't going to originally but after the screwdriver fix did nothing, and its basically like a creaky teeter totter on the left and right sides, I decided I should probably RMA. I love the tablet tho. I've used it A LOT since it arrived. It's amazing.
I have a very slight screen raise issue and I have requested to get a replacement, and depending on the condition of the replacement I'll either keep the new 1 or keep the old 1.

Keeping mine, no reason to return for such a silly non issue. Doesn't effect the use of the tablet at all.

Me, because both of my Nexus 7s are free of this, or any defects.
Same here. My left side of the screen sticks up a tiny bit, I'm waiting for a replacement but if the next one is worse ill just keep this one and try the washer fix or live with it. I still think it's a great tablet, especially for the price. I'll take this over an ipad costing hundreds more any day.

Is this what everyone complains about?

Just got my nexus 7 in today. It seems fine, although, I noticed that con the cleft side of the screen, it seems to be slightly raised in the middle. The corners attached fine. Are people sending out back for this? It doesn't seem like an issue, just an annoyance
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
Sounds like it. Seems like it's always on the left side for some reason. It's lifts up over the bezel and you can push down on it and it lifts again later. That is how mine is... or was hopefully.
I heated it up with a game, then put a couple clamps on it, left it over night turned off, and today it has stayed down so far. Hope the adhesive that is suppose to hold the glass down sticks now.
I had a previous one though that was slightly different, it was raised on the left side, but I couldn't push it down. Seemed like a screw was tightened too far or something. I sent that one back.
Either deal with it or get a refund if it really bothers you. You can also try number of fixes that are posted on these forums. They pretty much all have this issue to some degree.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Yes this is it, but the real problem is if it makes a noise when you push on it. THATS the annoying part.
Mine doesn't make any noise, although it definitely is a tiny bit squishy and if you try and push hard on it, it does act a little like an LCD monitor. I just didn't care enough to try and return it, as I would have never noticed it if everyone hadn't had their panties up in a wad as much as they did. I figure the worst that happens is that it gets worse over the next year and I end up having to spend a whole $200 more on a newer model.
I agree. I can't imagine this truly hurting the experience. Oh well. Not a big deal as long as it works well

I agree, if it was a true issue I would get a new one. In my case, it is only raised in the middle, and not that noticeable. Everything else is fine. You can fix that too

Besides it shouldn't affect performance. I hope

When I got my second one from the play store, it looked like the middle of the left side was raised. I thought I pushed it down but it never came back up.
I keep looking at it and touching it but nothing. I don't know if I imagined it or maybe bad lighting.
Just install a TPU case where the lip overhangs the screen. Problem solved. Out of sight out of mind. I'm enjoying my N7.
If its a problem 6 months later then I'll call and exchange it. Big whoop.

I don't think that they all have this issue, only a select few. I have been lucky enough to get 4 Nexus 7's and no issues. I have seen the issue posted on the site several times though, and the fixes seem pretty easy. There are some youtube videos on fixing it too. Good luck fixing it mate, would take advantage of the warranty if I were you.

You can't understand how when someone holds their tablet by the left bezel and it creaks like a floor board, they'd like to return it? That perhaps when using the tablet as a book they don't want to be distracted by clicking noises?

I am not talking about a problem to that extreme, I am talking about, a very slight raise in the middle, with no squeak. The only thing that I can think of that could be bothersome about that is that when you push hard on the bezel, a little bit of the left screen ripples

I have exact the same problem as described. They most annoying part is they "cracking" sound it does when tapping on the left side. I curious whether the touchscreen responsivness issue is somehow related to this problem.
Btw I thought it might be related to the processor since its also on the left side, maybe the heat causes the glue to detach ... if you know what I mean.

Things to check when my google nexus 7 arrives to make sure everything is fine in it?

Hya,
I'm new on here , so please be easy on me with my question  . I recently purchased Google nexus 7 tablet from some local website who asks the customers to report any defect with in one day, only then they will ship new product :crying: , So I'll get one day for checking . Since Google hasn't launched Google nexus 7 tablet here (India) officially, so I'm getting the imported one, website support peoples even ain't aware of how to get warranty if product gets turned in to black box .
I saw some q/a here and I found many peoples having problem with product (related hardware ones) . I'd be thankful if you guys could list some basic things to check pertaining to hardware of product to make sure everything is fine
Hi, I'm on my 5th replacement and everyone had a different fault!
First you want to check round the edge of the screen to make sure the glass is flush with the case and not raised up so you can push it down with your finger, If anywhere the problem is normally down the left side. (DON'T TRY TO REPAIR IT YOURSELF WITH THE SCREW FIX TUTORIALS!) In most cases the fix is just temporary and the problem returns. This is a defect!
The next thing you want to do is check for dead pixels & white light bleed out around the edge of the screen. This app is perfect for the job.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.ujacha.deadpixel
Next you want to check the speakers by cranking them up to 100% and play several video or audio files to check for crackling/distortion/popping.
It's well known that the speakers are very cheap but they should still be crystal clear with the volume at it's highest.
Now you want to check the touch screens response. There is an issue with the screen not responding after heavy processing/game play where the screen becomes unresponsive down one half of the screen and only locking/unlocking the screen solves the problem.
First I would advise hammering the N7 with a game that is Tegra 3 supported for example Dead Trigger or Shadow Gun to get it nice and hot if at any time the screen becomes unresponsive then you have the same issue.
To double check run this app, you should quite easily be able to detect all ten fingers on the screen at all times.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.the511plus.MultiTouchTester
The last thing I would check is the connectivity through Wi-Fi & Bluetooth, this is the least common fault as far as I know. Just check you have nice strong signals with no drop outs.
So after all that if you have managed to put a tick in all the boxes I reckon you have a sweet device!
I hope this helps you and any one else out there and that you have more luck than I had finally getting a perfect working N7.

Great question (although I don't know if it's a dupe). Thanks for all the info mr_tris. That sucks you're having so many issues. I haven't noticed anything wrong with mine since I got it yesterday, but I'll check all the things you mentioned when I have the tablet in front of me.
Billy
@mr_tris jeez!! 5 replacement means something and very horrible so to speak . I really appreciate help and advises you posted. I'll make sure to check them out .
The only problem I'll have if found any problem in device is that I'll have to wait another 20 days since the new product will be imported by website peoples for me to make replacement
One other thing to check: the gyro.
Does the screen rotate normally or do you have to turn the device so the screen is practically vertical (assuming you choose to unlock rotation via the notification panel).
If you are into gaming, try a driving game or something to make sure the cars don't veer left or right.
I had this trouble on my second one and have read of quite a few other people having the same problem.
The only real issue I've heard about is the screen raising above the bevel some. Yea this is a defect as the screws are too long and pushes the screen out. Returning it 50 times isn't going to fix it. Only by chance may you get one where the screw is slightly smaller (1mm). The solution is to make a little washer out of some plastic and put it under the screw. It doesn't need much to fix it. The cover pops off just like a regular battery cover and the screws are right there. If it is a problem for you, why NOT try to spend 2 min and just fix it yourself?
You wouldn't even notice unless someone pointed it out. You literally have to turn the N7 and look across the screen to even notice it. Hardly anything to freak out about.
Some people have blown their speakers already too. Most have been after a long session of movie watching or music. I suggest to not blow your speakers out (using at Max volume for extended periods) right out of the box. Let the speakers break in first. Honestly the speakers are so loud anyway that I normally have it at 50% volume Max. Probably not an issue either but its good usage practice.
I've also heard of one or two screens fritzing out with lines and fades. Probably nothing to concern yourself with.
I haven't heard of anything else but I guess it would always be best to check it out thoroughly.
I do recommend unlocking first thing because it wipes all data including storage and saves. I'm using EOS rom and its heavenly. Trinity kernel is also awesome because he tweaks the colors of the screen to pop more.

Most important things are:
Screen - check viewing angles and color reproduction in the dark. Best reference is to use a site like GSMARENA for high res photos and screen reviews.
Body - Look for cracks or scratches, especially around ports and the headphone jack.
Things to disregard:
Slow system - this is just something you will have to deal with in an android environment.
Warm after prolonged use - again, normal.

I just gave a Nexus 7 to my wife for her Birthday yesterday. I must be working fine since her was on it all day yesterday and for the last several hours this evening. If anything was wrong with it, she would of discovered it by now.
When it arrives turn it on, set it up and enjoy it. Don't make urself miserable looking for flaws. If you don't notice anything out of the box don't go looking for issues. Trust me....

I wish I could have that attitude about my electronic devices. It would be a shame for someone to find a defect after the 15 day return grace period just because their device might be OK and they never bothered checking it. You must have spare money to burn. :what:

No I don't have money to burn lol but I just don't think its worth the stress of over examining for defects. If you look hard enough you will see that something isn't 100% straight or a tiny spec of plastic is sticking out or whatever and then it will stand out like a sore thumb once you've noticed it lol. Give it a glance over and if it looks good to you then enjoy your tablet.

I have flawless c80 here, no raising lcd, no others failures here.. You gotta have some luck sometimes.

The nexus 4 has the worst build quality I've ever seen

I don't care what anyone says. The nexus 4 is a really cheaply made device. But what can you expect from a device with good specs at that pricepoint? Answer: a lot more than what I got, that's for sure. Anyways I have a huge list of defects on mine, so I hope I can cover all of them here
Screen banding: greys look quite poor and inconsistent, almost like the ribbon cable is damaged. Similar to this issue is that after turning the device off for a few minutes then turning it back on the sides of the screen, especially the right side, look way brighter than they should. Almost like backlight bleed, which I have as well
creaking: An issue mostly for the nexus 7 that somehow arrived on my nexus 4 as well. My nexus 4 for the longest time creaked like you wouldn't believe. You know when you pick up an old SNES controller and twist it a bit and it creaks? Yeah, like that, except it was every time I touched near the power button. I tried to fix it, but I only caused 2 other areas to creak and only partially fixed the first one
multi touch issues: Another issue thought to be exclusive to the nexus 7 but was transferred over to my 4. I first noticed it when I was fooling around with an ocarina app on my phone and I couldn't cover all the holes, so I downloaded a multitouch app and noticed a problem. When I have 4 fingers touching the screen, one of a few things happens. It either only registers 2 or 3 touches, or if I move my finger it will move the finger that I have parallel to it the opposite direction that I moved my finger. And if I have them all in a line it just goes f*cking nuts, sometimes having one finger, sometimes having 4 but not in a straight line, sometimes 2, etc. It was even worse than my nexus 7.
I could go on and on about how there's a dead pixel somewhere on the screen, or how there's sometimes a green spot in the middle of my camera, but let's stop there. You may be wondering why I haven't returned it yet. Well that's because the glass on the back completely shattered, like spiderwebs everywhere. But I didn't drop it, nor did I put the hot phone on a cold table, in fact, I just squeezed the side a bit. I took off the cover to fix the creaking issue, since I figured out how to fix it, and I wasn't pushing that hard, I've put far more stress on it just from taking it off, and I hear a loud "pop" and my hand is covered in glass, and there's really bad crackage on the back. I also put a tiny crack in it earlier from letting it slide off of my pants TWO INCHES OFF THE GROUND. *heavy breathing* I've never had such poor experiences with devices in my entire life. It's even worse than my experience with my nexus 7, which had similar issues, like the creaking, and the backlight bleeding, and the multitouch issues, and my nexus 7 had at least 40 stuck pixels on it that weren't fixed when I got a new screen. I don't think I'm ever going to buy a Nexus product ever again. I don't care if it's stock android, or if the performance is good, or if it's easy to root, or whatever. What's the most important part of a device? Being able to f*cking use it. And I can't use any of the devices I've owned because they've all been defective! My galaxy nexus had HUGE scratches on it just from it being in my bag, and stopped charging even after replacing the USB port, my first nexus 7's battery didn't work, my second nexus 7's screen had at least 40 stuck pixels, the oleophobic layer started to come off and it creaked a bit, and after getting it RMA'ed most of the pixels were still there and it creaked like a SOAB, and my nexus 4, I've already explained in depth. So now whenever I hear "oh, the nexus 4's build quality is comparable to the iPhone 5" or "the nexus 7 is soo much better built than samsung tablets" I just chuckle and say "yeah, I believe you"
What do you expect it sells for 299$only

Sounds like more of an issue of how you take care of your devices rather than the device itself.
I have every device you listed and they look brand new while never using a case.

Why is this in the Q/A section? And who cares?

I took superb care of it, the vast majority of issues I have with it were there when I got it, and sorry put it in the wrong thread.
My phone is in really good condition. I bought it on launch date and I have not had a replacement get. I really don't know what you are talking about.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
Well that was a poorly-formatted paragraph, and after sifting through it for your complaints, I can tell you that half of those issues can be "fixed" with kernel adjustments. I put 'fixed' in quotation marks because they aren't really fixes, more like tweaks.
As for the rest of your complaints, it seems like you don't take very good care of your phone. My Nexus 4 is in mint condition and I don't use a case or screen protector. If it's not in my hand, it's in my pocket. I don't set it on tables or anywhere, really. Treat that phone like the high-end piece of electronics that it is instead of the way you treat your car keys.
Also: prepare for this thread to be closed.
Idk man it sounds a lot like ur just complaining .. I've had a lot of devices so little stuff doesn't get me anymore but you could've gotten unlucky too but honestly I've had my phone since November and I just haven't tried to hear it creak . .I'm sure it does but I could care less you might have OCD though if ur noticing all that small stuff you might wanna get that checked out.
And the other stuff sounds like u did it ur self cause that first crack is always the hardest after that ur screens pretty much shattered honestly

I don't have any issues with build quality mime is great!! Flash a kernel to make the colors great!! If you don't really can't what people tell you about the build quality what post this when you know people are going to reply.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
You're judging the build quality of a device sold globally based solely on one defective unit that you happened to receive? That's simply not logical. I for one have a device with no issues and I consistently throw my phone onto my bed (easy 2-3 feet down) and absolutely nothing has happened to it. I can get a creak but only if I press the back of the phone with amounts of force that would never come up in a normal usage scenario. You're hugely exaggerating here, and while I understand your frustration there's really no point complaining about bad luck.
You don't care what anyone says and nobody cares what you say. Let's call it even and move on.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Well I'm glad to know that other people are having better luck. And I already said I take superb care of it. I don't throw it around, or whatever. I treat it really well. I'm just really frustrated that I always have such bad luck with things like this. I'm just gonna remove this thread as it's not doing anything productive, nor is it necessarily an accurate opinion.

Yeah I apologize this thread really shouldn't exist. I just got a bit angry and didn't know where else to put my anger into. The nexus 4 is really a fantastic device, just not MY nexus 4. Besides I'm getting a new back which will fix the creaking issue and cracked back issue which are the two issues that bother me the most. The rest of the issues are fairly minor (except maybe multi touch, but who knows, that could be the back as well, maybe it's a software bug) and I can live with them. I've already calibrated the display so the banding and bleeding issues are a bit less pronounced.
I tested this multitouch thing:
I can place all my 10 fingers on the screen and it will recognize them. But put 4 on it and place them in a line: every "touch" will be gone ..now move one finger (while 4 are on the screen): 1 finger is recognized.
Yes, very strange.
I too have slight creaks on the screws and a bit on the power button. And a lot of small scratches on the back since it just lays on the glass :/
How often does someone need to use their screen like a retard unless u have no fingers
I really shouldn't be complaining too much because it could be much worse. And it only cost 350 dollars.
I don't care what op says. My n4 is the best phone I ever had. And mine build quality is iphone like. I had to rma my first one due to some problem. But rma process is too easy smooth and fast not like iphone.

At least you realised and admitted this rather than doing what some people do and arguing fruitlessly. If you want this thread to be deleted or closed report the OP for 'maintenance' and ask for it to be closed, or PM a mod.
