So this is not supported on our device? :---(

If that is so that makes me very sad

It doesn't have 4.2 support yet, lost it on Nexus 7 as well. It took a few months for them to get it updated for 4.1 before.
Netflix looks terrible, too.
HBO Go just got an update for JB 4.2! Optimized for 10 tablets as well
Looks like Google cracking the whip on app devs is making a difference.

I'm confused but I understand that nexus 7 is a tegra 3 device. Google nexus 7 webpage claims nexus 7 can play galaxy on fire. However, Google play is saying galaxy on fire is not compatible with nexus 7.

There you go-you've answered your own question. When a major OS update comes along, some apps needs to be updated for compatibility. It would seem that's your issue.

Yep, this seems to be the case. I've reached out to the developers, let's see what they'll com back with.

Does anyone know if the 4.2.2 update removes access to manual selection of lte? I haven't seen anything about this either way.

I doubt we will know until someone gets the update and tries it.

I saw that some of the android news sites were reporting the N4 was getting the update, and they now show as being all the Nexi (plural nexus?) except the 4 are starting to see the update.
Hi!
When is coming android 4.2.3 for nexus 7? And if I update it, will i lose my root?
There will be no 4.2.3. Next step is 5.0, it's only few weeks away
Will we get it

Of course we'll get it. This is a newer Nexus device. That is one of the biggest Nexus device selling points.

I absolutely cannot wait for KLP.

i'm afraid that one gig of ram will no longer be capable of handling further android versions.
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda app-developers app
I assume you are implying that the newer android versions need more ram. If so does that mean that 5.0 will run slower on the current nexus 7?
Where can I read what is expected in the next android version?
Thanks

It's Android, it runs on everything. Some things maybe slower than others, but it runs, hence the Nexus One (512MB ram, can run 4.2)
I'm just trying to say that it might be sluggish.

I doubt it. They would discontinue the updates for the N7 before they would purposely release a new update that makes the device seem slow.

Google is very good about rolling out updates to their nexus line. There is no doubt in my mind that we will get it. Just a matter of time.

is it me or is the XDA app a little buggy since the KK upgrade?
Mine never highlights the correct message and force closes a bit.
I actually just restored my tab to so its a brand new install.
Not a huge deal but just wondering if the app was bing updated or its just something with my tablet.
thanks

The free version of the paid version? I've got the paid version and it doesn't seem to work right, even on my Xperia Miro running 4.0.4.
For me the problems started already on 4.3, but they continue on 4.4

Have the same problems. Started on 4.3 as well... Drives me crazy. Can't hardly "thank" anyone without creating a new post underneath it and also my recents are usually not updated.... I've tried everything.... Terrible.

I have the same issue both with paid and free, tho the xda HD is OK but the layout takes a while to get used to.
Is the new appv4 any better.

The point is we shouldn't HAVE to use tapatalk. I don't follow a lot of forums so the XDA app and Bacon Reader is all I need. It should just work. Especially the paid version.

It does need fixed, maybe everyone needs to submit feedback/report the bugs. I definitely recommend tapatalk though as it's just better and is getting updated. I don't follow a load of forums either, just use it specifically for xda.

I just tried tapatalk app and i must say WOW. screw xda app i am never going back to it now.
Thanks for the taptalk suggestion.
