Im on cm10 latest... I have a micro sd on my tab 2 10.1 that was last modified in 1969.... Damn... Who knew....
Also how do i take screenshot on cm10 ???
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
Nope. Many languages use this 1969 as an default date. Meaning you card was not made circa Woodstock time
Also, if I am not mistaken, long press on Volume down + Power does a screenshot on CM10.*
Back to the future...

Settings>System>Power Menu select the screenshot option. Now whenever you hold the power button you will be able to select screenshot from the pop-up menu.

You have to press your menu button in the menu *#197328640# then you can select wifi. It is not a menu item.

Hi All,
Just received my Nexus 7 32GB Wi-Fi and switched it on went to settings and Developer mode and switched on USB debugging. I then plugged into USB on PC and a notice of system upgrade available, So, I selected OK and after the upgrading went back into settings and found that "Developer Options" had disappeared. Any ideas anyone.

Seems you have the red light of death ( RLOD) . Can you get into the boot loader?
Plug in the charger, hold power button and volume down button. If you can get into bootloader then use the volume key to select "power down" and use power button to choose that option. Then just leave the phone plugged in for a while.
I've had it only take maybe 5 minutes and other times take an hour. Try turning it on, if it just vibrates then shows the Google screen and reboots then redo the steps and leave it plugged in and let it sit for longer

Check the file you flashed. Sounds like you flashed a ROM not meant for the nexus 4 like a nexus 7 ROM.
If that's the case you are bricked and only a JTAG will save it.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
If you can get in bootloader:
download the ROM from computer (correct one)
get into recovery
mount usb storage
put ROM in phone
flash rom
wipe
reboot
you might have to hold power and volume down for awhile.. 10+ seconds
You posted this in the wrong forum btw.. next time Q&A would be appropriate

Looks like that is a gs2 ROM. Only way to save it is JTAG.
For future reference only flash Roms made for the device you are using.

Is a machine that can rewrite your memory without turning the phone on their are some shops on the internet that do it. last I checked only other option is lg and they are going to be more expensive than a shop.

there is a way to shake the ... brick?
First, a bit of background. I have a disability that limits my hand movements.
I had absolutely no trouble in swiping the screen on my S III to take a screenshot. I now have a S4. After several hours of tweaking the gesture settings I still can't take a screenshot by swiping. Also, due to the limited movement in my hands I can't use the shortcut (Home + Volume buttons).
Thus, if an app doesn't exist to take a screenshot on the S4, I would gladly pay a developer to pay for a workaround.
Ideas? Thanks.

Screenshot ux and screenshot ultimate are both good apps for a substitute. Some aosp/aokp ROMs allow a screenshot to be taken by holding down just the power button and clicking screenshot. Not sure about exposed framework for TW but there may be some screenshot customisations in it.
Sent from my SGH-I337 using XDA Premium HD app
Thanks for the tip. I'll check them out.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 4
Screenshot UX will not run on a phone that is not rooted. In addition, it only works after one uses the phone's screenshot method to crop, etc. Ultimate is similar but does supposedly has an out for non - rooted phones. You have to install a utility on your PC first. Haven't tried it yet.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 4
Unfortunately, Ultimate is out for the following reason:
" When you completed the steps below screenshot capability will be enabled on your device. However, Android will automatically disable it after every reboot / reset, so you will need to enable the screenshot capability after every reboot. We cannot prevent the disabling of the functionality after every reboot / reset, it is how Android is designed, apologies for that. Your device will NOT be rooted by using this, after a simple reboot everything will be the same as before again."
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 4
I've looked at every screenshot app available for non-rooted phones & all have the same constraints that Screenshot Ultimate does. However, it's not the app's fault...it's a Samsung OS issue.

Lagging ...., battery problems.....
Two words for u.....
HARD RESET !!
It's really worth the effort for reinstalling ur apps again
And one more thing....just install the apps that u use and u will really feel the difference
I think I may do this with the next big update coming soon. I was going to do it right after the last update but kicked the can down the road and decided to do it the next time. I think some people do it after every update though.
Easier just to root and remove all the bloatware...Mine has no lag and is crazy fast.

How hard is it to root and install custom firmware? I've got a p605 that came from Singapore. I've already updated the firmware with UK version. Is there a guide out there anywhere?

might be a stupid question, but what is a hard reset ? Ie how to?
With Samsung products I tend to do this after every update, it takes time but I find things run better.

Its factory settings......it removes every thing on the device like it was out of the box
- Turn Off your Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 device.
- Wait for 10 seconds, Then move to the next step.
- Press and hold Volume Up key + Power key.
- Keep pressing the above keys until the Samsung Logo appears,Then release Power key only.
- When you see Factory reset / System Recovery menu on screen release the Volume Up Key.
- Use Volume Down key to select Wipe Data / Factory Reset option.
- Use Power key to confirm the operation.
- You need to use the Volume Down key again to select "Yes -- delete all user data"
- Use Power key to confirm.
- After performing the hard reset, Select Reboot System Now option, And confirm it using Power key.
- Now the phone will reboots, Wait for it to be fully on and then you can start using it.
Does this long process equal using the reset option in menu? Reason I ask is I've used that feature before with this.
