Is it possible to make calls and send sms from 3g n7? Im considering buying it and this possibility would be great. Just dont know if i should get the 3g one, wifi one or none at all.

Has anybody had a problem with the power button not working at all? If so.. is it easy to get it fix so that I can find someone to fix it for me, and not have to deal with either tmobile or htc....

The power button failing is a common problem on the nexus one, HTC will replace your phone, i'm not quite sure if you could fix it by yourself.

They ask for the imei number.
Im sorry about all my stupid questions but two more where do find that number in the phone? .... and will i have a problem cuz i purchased the phone through amazon???

The IMEI # is found below the battery inside the phone or on the box of your phone. as for your other question, i don't think there should be a problem with HTC.
Hi, go to Settings>About Phone>Status.
Amazon should be ok, but only HTC can confirm that...

That's the new Plus.
Does anyone know if this tmobile 7" plus is going to able to make phone calls from the start? I've been looking for this answer for a while, but couldn't find anything on it... But it does seem like the tmobile version is not going to allow it from the get-go, as there is no mentioning of this capability anywhere...

well since the one I'm on now took the geniouses here at xda to make calls I'm gona go out on a limb and say no calls.

It has the capability and I haven't read anything to suggest T-Mobile will Bogart this from happening. I have the wifi 16 GB version and it's great, but it does have the looking of a phone with an ear piece that I haven't found any function for yet aside from the assumed ability of the T-Mobile version to call out. Great, great device from the original 7 Plus!

Im willing to bet phone is disabled. If not I will leave streak 7 for this. Or wait until xda gets it working. Ive asked tmobile and samsung, both are avoiding the question, samsung says: we can not speculate..
judging from the tmobile ad photo, there is no phone icon on home screen, where as samsung photos have it.
I guess we could always buy one from Europe where it will likely have voice calls...
have to wait and see..

Thanks for letting me know, but I want the one with 3G
I have one about two weeks old, 16gig WiFi & 3G, but I am in South Africa...
I can let go of mine. P6800, 16GB, WiFi + 3G.
About to buy a new nexus for Christmas and will be flashing quite a few custom ROMs but which is best for custom ROM choice, the 3G version or the WiFi version?
Perhaps this is an irrelevant question, as the ROMs can be installed on either model?
Wish somebody would tell me, as I don't want get the 3G and regret it.

3G ROM will need to have 3G build... So a lot of the stuff dominating this forum won't work properly ... It will get more support as more units get out there I guess but right now it's slim pickings
all roms work with wifi version and for 3g some work ,some not but it will change soon because developers will update their rom to work and on 3G

Thanks both of your for your comments.
In the end, I ordered a 32 gb WiFi only model as it guarantees good custom ROM support from day one and I can always tether to my phone if I need to.
