Nearly as much as the phone itself. I think you should take that back.

Yeah the boost version costs only 75$ now, so its not worth it.
@ DawkterDroid
XT1028 is Verizon boot-loader unlock possible by sunshine , cost only 25$.
XT1031 (boost) boot-loader unlock is officially available from Motorola website.
After boot-loader unlock rooting is easy ... TWRP got this inbuild.

Bootloader unlock is not possible on 4.4.4 on XT1031, it has to be done on 4.3 or 4.4.2 until Motorola fixes the bootloader bug on 4.4.4
They have caused some xt1032 and xt1033 not to be unlockable via their bootloader unlock solution with the 4.4.4 update but they also provided an how-to. Maybe it could be useful for you with a xt1031 with 4.4.4 version. Here it's ;

Would be interested to hear comments on Verity and how it impacts Rooting going forward with 6.0 MM.
Thanks

Issue only with locked bootloaders where the boot image can't be modified. Won't be an issue for unlocked devices.

OH I see. This would apply to locked down phones and not 5X & 6P with user ability to OEM Unlock.
Another reason to opt for pure Nexus devices I guess.
Follow this video tutorial to unlock your bootloader easily!

Huawei deletes the page that gave the code to unlock the bootloader.
Any way to unlock the bootloader with another method?

Hello.
You can throw away 4 euros and try to use DC-Unlocker and read the bootloader code.
I don't think it works with newer phones ...

Meticulus offers unlocking for a few bucks.

First you have to get your son unlocked and then active the oem unlock in the Dev section in your devices settings and then in 7 days you receive a token from T-Mobile allowing you to unlock your bootloader for you can now root your device right? So if I buy a new oneplus 6T out rightcan I have my device sum unlocked right then or do I need to still wait 40 days and then active the oem in the settings and then get the token in 7 days and then unlock my bootloader? Will you please let me know if I got some seizure right and if I have it wrong for you please explain the correct way I would greatly appreciate it thanks in advance take care

If the device is paid in full at the time of purchase, I don't think they lock your sim. But I would ask them to check right then and there to make sure it is unlocked.
I bought an oneplus 6t from tmobile on monthly payments , 1.5 hours later bootloader and Sim unlocked. No tokens or anything. Follow guides to flash international rom. Then guides to unlock Sim and bootloader.

No. I followed the guides.
First guide is flash to international.
Then the Sim/bootloader/root guides.
Yes there is that way also, but a little more involved. If you follow the guides it should be easy, but just ask questions if there is something you don't understand.
