Hi,
It would appear that as of tomorrow (13th) we will be able to order the Nex4 from the Play store (hopefully with delivery for the 14th). There are also rumours that CPW will have stock from the 14th (although their website says delivery 13th).
Wondering if anyone has any more concrete info... I am mainly wondering if there is anywhere to pick up a Nex4 tomorrow (13th) for the Play store prices and sim-free as per hte Galaxy Nexus and Nex7.
Anyone???
/R
CPW stock is for contract-only at the moment. They're not selling it SIM-free. I asked at the Leeds branch yesterday.
Prices start at £31 per month on a 24 month contract, so that's £744 for a £279 phone. It's just madness!
I'll be buying the Nexus 4 from the Play store to go with my £15 per month contract-free 3 mobile tariff with all-you-can-eat data.

not really the phone is more around the £450 maybe more its just that google are really subsidizing the handset by quite a bit so if you think about it the phone is worth the rrp which will be around 450 mark maybe more lol
Best bet in UK is that play store imho

Yeah you won't find it at Play Store prices anywhere else because Google are subsidising the price, hence it being so low. There was a story about a Spanish website who are refusing to stock it because LG will only sell it for over £100 more than the Play Store.
Basically, your only options are Play Store or pay more (catchy )

Has that actually been confirmed? Spain may just be being treated completely differently - they might just be getting shafted thanks to the current financial situation there.
Does anyone know, what time does the sale starts?

Ok so I am putting my browser in F5 mode
There was a theory in another thread that it would be 5pm UK time, based on the Nexus 7 having gone on sale at 9am PDT on its day of release.

If that was the case, they wouldn't be delivered on the 14th, which is what I thought was supposed to be happening?
I am looking at three likely possibilities, in ascending order of likelihood, for UK buyers:
- Midnight tonight - Pretty unlikely as that would actually be 4pm on the 12th in Pacific time (Google's own timezone). I can only see this if they launch in each territory separately.
- 8am tomorrow morning - More likely as that would be a midnight launch in Pacific time.
- 5pm tomorrow afternoon - That would be 9am Pacific time. This seems most likely given that it's normal office hours and the time they've launched other devices in the Play Store.
I've still entered my email for notification, plus set up http://www.changedetection.com/ to email me when the page changes! I have then set tasker to fire an alarm if I get emails from either of these! I'll still be up at midnight anyway though, and get up at 6 for work.
I went to CPW today and they said they are not allowed to sell them till the 14th, and are under strict instructions to "NOT SHOW THEM TO ANYONE" until then!
He also said they didn't know if they were going to be sold Sim free, but if they were he thought they would be £400 off contract. He also said that someone else had been in earlier on today asking about it!
I also went into T-Mobile (EE), to get a Micro-Sim (which they gladly took £10 off me for the privilege), I said I was buying a new phone, the girl asked where I was buying it, I said the Google Play Store and she looked at me like I was mental!!
She asked what it was called and I said it was the Nexus 4, and she said she had never heard of it! Glad to see that carriers are keeping their staff up to date with upcoming devices (I know T-Mobile is not getting it as such, but Google selling it for £279 is pretty major news in the Mobile world).
I then pulled out my GNex to change sim cards and she asked what that one was? I said it was the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, and she hadn't heard of that either - even though its a year old phone!!!
/End Rant!

Haha! Did she actually know what a mobile phone was? Or was she an iPhone user
I was in a CPW today in London, the guy had heard of it and said it should be available from the 14th. He didn't even know that there was a UK Google Play store and that it could be ordered from there. He didn't know the price either and was basically just saying get it from the play store if you can.
5PM tomorrow leaves a very tiny chance of receiving the device on the 14th, even if there is the next day option at checkout. Although ebuyer lets you order next day up until 11pm so it is possible to do from a logistical point. Fingers crossed

"However, it seems Google has other plans for its new phone and tablet launch. Google Germany employee Stefan Keuchel took to Google+ today to inform followers that the new devices would not be available at the stroke of midnight, as some had speculated. Instead, he says he's learned that Germans will be able to start ordering devices tomorrow afternoon or early evening."
Still think it will be a global launch, but based on the Yanks. So most probably tomorrow evening seems logical. Next day delivery is still possible as long as they don't use crap couriers like Yodel!

Hi, has anyone already got a DHD from any T-mobile stores in UK? though it's already available from online, but my address is not accepted (uni address, and it's the only address i can use).
I live in Guildford and when i phoned the stores both in this town and in London they told me there won't be any stock untill November...OMG i can't wait that long!
ps the reason i chose tmobile is they offer unlimited internet in a low price cause i brows alot and don't need too many mins or texts.
Last Friday I was told T-Mobile stores in the UK would 'probably be getting stock within 7 days'. 'though they also said they'll be fulfilling online pre-orders first.. and I still haven't got mine
November is only next week though, so might not be all that long a wait!
can't understand why htc didn't just simply put another evo4 in eu market, DHD's got planty of problems revently, just saw the Engadget Review of DHD, got mostly nagative review.
Go for online shops

Many retail shops do the same, i dont used to go for retail shops because the single mobile price may include shoprent, employee sal, transport charge, EB etc better go for online shops better try this onlinemobileworld.blogspot.com i had good experience with this site
We have been told we should get stock either end of this week or beginning of next week depending on stores delivery schedule
T-mibile stores get delivery on either Wednesday or Friday, I was told today it might arrive on next friday ,if not, it could be anytime in Nov and they even compared 'emself to vodafone(which already got DhD in store before a week) by "V's got DHD early but some devices have prob"
get it from carphonewarehouse or phones4u, they give better deals anyway. £25 a month on t mobile, free phone.
i have owned a t_mobile DHD for about 10 days now, received from T-Mobile in london. Nice phone, battery sucks
Engadget is an Apple`s dog. Don`t trust them.
Yeah mine is from e2save which is part of carphonewarehouse next day delivery last week and is sim free model on 25 a month for 600mins unlimited tx unlimited internet which t mobile give 3gb allowance on this handset which is a lot. Seems a high demand for this handset. Been a iPhone owner for years and I carnt describe how happy I am with this phone,

I have bought one from Carephonewarehouse today. 30£/m, handset for 30£ and plenty good stuff including 90 international (mobile) minutes.
Went into Carphone Warehouse and the man was oblivious to when it was out. Told me theyd have it in a few weeks, I told him its meant to be launched today and he then said itd be there in a few days and that id get an email telling me it was in stock.
Ridiculous.

I just got back from carphone warehouse here in sheffield and they got stock in today, so hopefully you'll see them soon wherever you are.
I stopped by in the Vodafone store and they said that they will have stock tomorrow (thats where I'll be shopping as I have a vodafone signal booster) so it'd seem that 'right now' is when its supposed to be happening. Not that you'd know... No-one seems to want to make a fuss *sigh*.
If anyone gets their tab today or tomorrow (before me) can they confirm that the Tab has the full phone functionality in it ?
All the contracts seem to offer just a data line, which is ... fine... i guess... Since I'm just going to trade my Galaxy S sim card into it, but I need to know that I'll be able to get texts and use the phone. Otherwise I'm going to be a seriously pissed off panda bear.
So yeah... an open call to UK guys getting a Tab... Trade your smartphones SIM into it and check that it'll make/recieve calls and texts.
If they've disabled the phone aspect, I swear to god I'm going to embark on an urban terror campaign... Or just ***** on the internet. Either way. I want a Tab cuz its a phone not just a dataline. I want a phone replacement, not a small iPad.
[/rage]
Edit -
While I was in carphone warehouse, they said they are tossing in a 16gb card with their Tabs (not sure if its just them or general thing) and I know that they are offering some other cool free stuff which I saw on the guys screen, but he didn't go back over it so I don't know what it is. Anyways, good luck.
I think the phone capabilities is a UK only thing, so youre in luck unless theyve changed things :| then ill also be a pissed off panda bear
I guess at first itll be shipped to major cities, then sent out to smaller ones later in the week.
Reguarding the 16gb sd, did they say if that was if you purchased/pre ordered there and then? The people in Norwich didnt even know you could preorder it! Must have been living under a bloody rock for the past month.
Im getting a T-Mo 30 day sim contract for unlimited data and 100 mins & texts. Have my Desire for another 1 1/2 years so I should probably make the most of my contract
Ill be so angry if i get an email later telling me its arrived at the store

Me too. Went into my local store as they never answer the phone. Not had any delivery yet today. They say their delivery is usually after 3 and sometimes just as they are closing. They took my number and said they will call me when they have their delivery. We'll see. Customer service on the phone is useless. They know nothing. And still no email saying it's on the way to the store.

I don't know about the SD card thing. The guy said they are doing it for all the Tabs, and implied that you only get whats in the box, so it would seem that its included with every unit, but I couldn't swear to it.
The phone thing is kinda weird. We've been told for ages that we'll have the capability, but no-one is selling it as a phone. Like NO-ONE. They're pushing the video calling thing, but thats a data thing, not an actual 'phone' thing. Without ANY phone stuff on the contract, I don't even know if a contract will give me a phone number or anything. I'm particularly pissed because I was assuming that it would drop on contracts similar to smartphone contracts, but everyone is pushing ~£500 with pointlessly expencive data-only contracts. I saw one that was £20 a month for 2 years and still £450 up front! REDICULOUS! I already have an unlimited data contract and wifi practically everywhere I am for any length of time except public transport. I just cannot understand what the hell they are doing with this pricing... Totally ignoring the only thing that makes the Tab better than the competition. RAAAAAAAGE
CPW have finally updated the Tab page:
http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/laptop-redirect/samsung-galaxy-tab?intcmp=hp-hp-hero-4-v1-1134
£530 with no contract or £530 with some crap Vodafone contract. Wooooo! [/sarcasm]
Anyway, reguarding the phone capabilities. Most/all screenshots of the Euro/UK tabs have either a Phone or Contacts shortcut on the homescreen. But it is strange that companies arent making a big deal about being able to make calls. :/

Urgh. This is straight up bull****.
Also, why the hell is the carphone warehouse price for a vodafone tab HIGHER than the vodafone price ? I thought the point of going there was cuz they got stuff cheaper than straight from the network.
The vodafone prices are £499 + whatever contract. Its not much of a difference, but im seriously not happy that they want full list price on a contract. What the ****?
Has anyone seen ANY decent subsidies in the UK ? Isn't the german one going for like 100e + 17.50e a month ? See thats what I'm talking about.
Edit -
O2 want £600 btw. So thank god for small mercies.
Exactly. Full tab price and a £20 contract (?) shows how much they think about their plans. People in the Vodafone shop actually knew what a Tab was too!
If only we followed suit with the Germans. Their plans make sense. Where as ours are a bloody shamble.
Emailed CPW about when they think theyll actually have the tab and surprise surprise, no response.

That really sucks. Hope you get it sorted soon.
There's two things here that both combined I'm pissed about (more so as the day wears on). Firstly, I'm going to have to pay for the whole device up front. Second, I'm not going to have a spare service plan to kick around. If I were getting a decent subsidy OR a nice mins/txts/data bundle then I'd be cool.
Now I always knew that this wasn't going to be a cheap device, but I don't think anywhere else in the world is being hit as hard as us on the upfront price. Even the ****ing yanks who pay through the nose for every other mobile device are being told that $600 or £375 is full retail price. What the hell is that ?

Maybe/hopefully T-Mo & Voda will realise how high everywhere is charging compared to the rest of the world and knock it down. A lot.
If not, then T-Mo sim only deals are the best imho. 100 mins & texts and unlimited data for £10 or upgrade to 300 (i believe) for £15. I dont want to be tied to another overpriced contract tbh. :/
But, the Tab is £530 new, my Desire was priced at £500 brand new. I sure as hell would have paid the extra £30

CPW are a real shambles these days. I eventually got an email saying mine had been shipped to the store today and giving me a DHL tracking number. Great! Only problem is that the tracking number shows it was already delivered to Sheffield in November LAST YEAR! Phoned them AGAIN and it still hadn't been shipped yet. They promised me it was being shipped today for delivery to my London store tomorrow. Of course, I could have just gone to Oxford Street today and picked one up!
By the way, the CPW website shows definitely it is a phone as the 3 contracts include minutes. Also, seems CPW supply it with a 16gb card.
My galaxy S was about £500 too, but I sure as hell didn't pay that upfront. In fact I won't have paid the original price until next summer.
That's kinda my point.
The kinda contracts we get on regular smart phones are a nice way to spread the cost of a really expensive device over a much longer time frame. From my point of view there is simply no point in getting a tab with any kind of contract, which aggravates me.
Normally they are real happy to sign you onto a contract, but here there is genuinely no point. I mean £30 quid off when you sign up for 2 years ? For something I won't even use *shakes head*.
Up until now I was just going to spread the cost out and have a spare contract sim for family/friends/whatever. Now, I'm not getting the SIM nor spreading the cost.
I went for the £30 saving with their one month rolling 1gb data contract, including 1 month free. So I may cancel after a month or two and I will still have saved. Also, having bought through Quidco, I should be getting cashback as well. Looks like it could even be £40 as that's what's been tracked by Quidco.
i was all set for this since im due for an upgrade from my 3gs but to my horror no minutes on any contracts, the 24 month contract has 100 minutes but thats it. Not really enough, 300 would have been fine.
Think im gonna get a Archos again and look at other tablets next year. Will probably stick with the 3GS. Unless of course some more options are given, you would think that one of the networks would allow you to use it as a phone. But oh no!!
Yea - Got mine from Car Phone Warehouse - Last one in stock but we are definitely getting shafted over this...
I payed 299 with a 24 month contract as I needed a 3G card anyway for a dongle.
Vodafone want Minimum £424 up front...
I am an early adopter and have waited for this device for a couple months but I would advise that people wait for a further 2 weeks or so when the prices come down as the networks are clearly playing silly £$"$£$ with this.
All contracts car phone offered had no minutes I couldn't believe it...

Want to get this from Amazon UK... no sign of stock yet though!
I pre-ordered at the Samsung Experience Store in London. The initial price was £649, but they are doing a promotion to trade in any phone (doesn't need to be a smartphone or even working) for a £50 discount, making the Note 3 £599.
However I popped in to the store tonight and saw that they had reduced the non-promotional price to £629. I was refunded the difference, so my Note 3 will now cost £579 (trading in an old dumb-phone handset I have lying in a drawer). The price with the promo (limited to the first 500 pre-orders apparently) is the cheapest I have seen in the UK and is actually now cheaper than the online sites if you have a spare old phone (or you could buy an uber cheap one off EBay). For the promo, you must provide the trade-in phone when picking up the Note 3.
I can also confirm that the store will be hosting a special launch night at 6pm on Tuesday the 24th, where people who pre-ordered can pick up their handsets the day before the official release and likely a couple of days before online orders from other retailers will be delivered. They said they're due to get some accessories in on the same day, but could not confirm any pricing for those at the moment. I've seen some sites listing the S-View cases at around £45-50 which seems pretty steep. I'm hoping that they might have some sort offers (or maybe even freebies) available at the launch event, but I'm not holding my breath!
Hope this information is helpful to someone. I think you can pre-order the Note 3 from the store by phone and have them post the handset to you, but I don't think that would qualify for the trade-in offer, so at £629 you're better off going with Handtec or Clove.
Edit - I forgot to mention that they also had demo handsets in both white and black out on display in the store tonight, they look awesome!
It seems to me from reading this thread, seeing Youtube posts and also going to shops in London that many shops have already received them. But for some reason the UK stores are more afraid to violate Samsung's embargo than some of the US and other shops. I will make another go on Monday and see if I can at least get a sighting. If I am successful I will post the information here.

Might ring a Three store first thing Wed. and go get one if they have stock. Not bad deal, £99 for phone on 24 month contract with 500 mins, 5000 texts and unlimited data, soon to be 4g too

How much is this a month? I haven't seen it on the Three website - just says coming soon, and other sites such as buymobiles. net don't offer it on three.

Is there any way of knowing if you are one of the first 500? If I place a pre-order now with the trade in old phone option at the price of £579, and at the time of pick up they say I wasn't one of the 500 - could I cancel my order?
Thanks.

Has anyone heard if O2 stores are due to have the note 3 on release? I have asked a few stores and all they say is that they don't know and to check back Wednesday...

There's a thread going with T-Mobile pre-orders in the Q&A forums. I pre-ordered on the 18th, first date it was available. Had an estimated delivery date of the 26th which came and went. My card was just charged yesterday, thinking they will start shipping today or tomorrow. My status is still as backordered.
This whole pre-order thingy is whack, should have just waited till Wednesday and gone in to get the N3 and Gear watch same time.

I pre-ordered on the 19th. My cash was held on Friday but I haven't received any shipping info. I've called in asking for the status and was told they won't ship anything until the 2nd. I'm thinking I should have just gone into the store since I ordered ground shipping and will have to wait that long now. Kinda sucks.
I feel yall...whats the damn benefit of preordering if you get it when the stores get it...hell you could save on the shipping cost...COME ON T-MOBILE

Now that you mentioned shipping that just made me more upset, $25 overnight shipping to get it maybe 1 or 2 days later than stores? WTF....
Also if there is a problem with the device, ordering in the store is MUCH easier because you can just walk in and swap it out. Online orders you have to ship it back to them, wait up to a week for them to look over it and hope they don't lose it (they lost my S4 for 3 weeks in their receiving warehouse) then mail you out another and you get charged $5 for a "swap" fee.
Top it off, you can't cancel the order once you pre-order it. This whole pre-order thingy stinks of BS. T-Mobile rep said to wait for it to ship (whenever that will be) then wait for the UPS man and refuse delivery, that's the ONLY way to cancel it. You'll lose your shipping charges too. Nice eh?
I forgive them though, they did get my LG G2 delivered to me 2 weeks before the store release date. =)
I had to order mine online to quality for my promotion (10% off service and $50 account credit). It also claims I'll have 2-4 days to wait for it (free shipping, no expedited option was available). I'm willing to be patient to save $218 over the course of two years, though

Went to the closest T-Mobile store yesterday. They will start selling them tomorrow. They will only get 8. The sales rep said I should be there as early as possible. I will have it first thing in the morning.

I called 5 stores and visited one in person on Monday. All the stores have them in stock and go on sale Wednesday. I didn't hear anything about low stock from any of them. Most likely the rep just wants to get you in there asap to get a commission, lol. I had one rep badger me to sign up with service now, then come back and buy the phone on Wed, lol.

I'm in SC and will also pick my note 3 up tomorrow around 10am we they open. And my area has 2 locations each with only 8-10 black in stock.
Tmobile Note 2 ♡°♡ Unlock At&T Mega 6.3
I was also planning to pick it up in store, because the preorder didn't really seem to have any advantage to it.
I did some calling around, and it does seem that each store isn't getting too many units. My local retailer is
about 10 minutes away (running), and it opens at 10 AM. I'm also actually a college student, and I have a calc. lecture
until 9:50... I'm really tempted to leave class 20 minutes early. haha. Is it worth it?
The T-Mo Corp Store I work in as a RSA got 15 of the black only. We do not have a Demo phone to show customers. I will be buying my phone tonight before I leave the store. Most of the stores that I talk to got under 15 some got demos some did not. My store has never sold out of a Galaxy phone on day one.

I pre-ordered on Sept 18, it is shipping today. The tracking number says it is in Kentucky. Whoo hooo!
G2 using Slim Bean
Well I have had mine since 1034am and so far I'm not liking it as much as the mega 6.3. It's basically the same size as the note 2 the no big difference there. There is auto correct while typing. It is rooted however the system is keeping certain root apps from working, such as wifi trevE mod which I still haven't figured out. Anyone that has a work around on the wifi trevE mod please by all means help me out with a link & screen shot of the settings. Thanks in advance.
