CWM Rom Manager, premium vs regular. regarding thread "how to root etc.."

Why am I told that I need rom manager premium instead of just the free one in this tutorial. I thought the only difference was premium had custom rom links for easy updates and upgrades. is this really necessary? is it necessary for this tutorial?

No. I really need to update the thread. I'll do that either tonight or tomorrow. I'm nowhere near a computer and I'm typing this from my phone.

No it is not necessary, but it's very nice to have. Hint: google mobolism.org and search ROM Manager within the forum. You might be surprised at what you find

You will find most any paid market app for free. Need I say any more
Edit: I by no means promote piracy. Usually what I will do is get on there, download an app, and try it out. If I like it, I will uninstall and buy from the market (i.e. I did this with Rom Manager, Root Explorer, etc.). If I don't like it, I will just uninstall and not use anymore. This is my way of showing love to the developers who have worked so hard to make my phone better

I also agree. It is out of developers hearts to offer free versions that have nearly all of the functionality of the full version and only ask for donations.
I paid for Rom Manager, because I thought his time and effort was well worth the $5 donation. Then you have some that would rather cut the developer out of the equation.

Still doesn't matter if you do Not everyone will be as nice as you. Cutting the dev completely out of the picture is wrong and shouldn't be done. Anyways the market has a 48 hour return policy on all purchases.

Well I went on MIUI.us just to check out if I could find anything like a screenshot or something and I found this....

Turns out this just that Vanilla-Swirl-ICS rom that was posted a while back but was nothing more then just deck's rom with a few "tweaks" and a different build.prop

If this new release has the camcorder fix...sighs...then we know for if they're kangin' and bangin' cuz none of them dudes are working on the kernel. Its taken Drew two months to get his where it is building from source...no way these dudes are building from source...

I just downloaded their so called ICS rom and is a clear copy of drews ICS rom off twitter...I think is P6! The dude that is supposedly the main dev behind this ICS rom (Andrew)aka thebakeryoven was part of Team Ramen Noodles once upon a time before we kicked him out for kanging **** and I'm sorry for saying this BUT he was a clear cut idiot when it came to dev stuff! He had no idea how to decompile apps and didn't know anything about apkmanager, apk tools or ubuntu or anything like that......
Here's the build.prop just in case anyone wants to look through it..hahaha

Yeah I actually believed this was going to be a real team for about 10 minutes and then something told me that it was too good to be true. The one dude on their team called "The Batman" was PMing just recently asking me to help him out with porting the CM9 notifications to drews rom and I asked him "aren't you part of Team Black Cobra with thebakeryoven and gang" and he stopped PMing after that.....these dudes steal people's hard work, don't give any credit at all and make a few changes and claim it as their own.....I WON'T be downloading their stuff anytime soon!

Hmmmm......interesting... a guy named The Batman has been following my thread for quite some time (you can see he thanked me for last nights release post) also he acts very suspicious.. I wonder what their next release will look like

I personally wouldn't stand by or trust them, in all honesty.
And any group of 'developers' that NEED x amount of followers before they share their work, only says so much about their quality or ambitions.

Yeah these dudes are the same ones that kang that ICS rom a while back and now they're back under a different name thinking that people aren't going to remember who they are or noticed that the same fixes that are in their rom is the same ones that you guys have been working on for damn near two months now...hahaha
There's no way that Andrew Baker aka thebakery or Billy Bowerman build their stuff from source and already caught up to you guys in such little time..hahah, especially since Andrew had such a hard time using apkmanager which to me is noob 101 ****!

In approximately twelve hours, I will be uploading a new pack1 I have been hunting good walls down like crazy that past few days. 10000 wallpapers!
I'm seriously thinking of making an app...
Here is a pack of my wallpapers I've been hunting down for months. I will post another xxxxx every 100 thanks I get for a bonus. I take 1% credit for these as a few of them are mine. 99% of them I found on other forums, other websites, or were posted in my other thread relevant to this. I appreciate those of you who posted your wallpapers, I saved them and put them into this pack. Link for that thread is farther down so you can see who posted them if you really want to.
If you want larger packs, like 1000 or 2000 or whatever number; then I need to see more requests. It takes me a lot of time and barely any effort to do this. If you don't appreciate it then do NOT post. If you don't care then DON'T post. Nobody cares what negative thoughts you have about my work. I do this so we can all have amazing wallpapers for our epic Epics.
I am well aware that the wallpapers are not all the same size nor are they designed for just this phone. Most of them were for a computer with a large resolution.
I will update this WHENEVER I CAN. If I get at least 1 thank I will release an extra or a "bonus" pack with xxxxx wallpapers in it due to the idea of me being appreciated and my work is useful. I guess I was being a thanks whore, but I will try to keep up with this. Next week or earlier I'll have another batch comin up!
Keep your eyes out for an app in the making! I'm not posting it on the market (not paying the fee). It random crashes so if I can't get it to work I'm just going to use a "free app maker" to do it if I can't fix it, sorry.

Wow, I really can't believe some of this going on, they guy makes one spelling mistake and now he's a troll because he wants to offer hosting? LOL what's he gonna steal something precious you've worked on? I mean there are ways to find out what/ and how a mod was done but comparing so what he wanted to host a file or two, I say thanks but I'm okay with dev-host...but then again viccodan you don't have **** worth hosting k thanks.

Building a new team for developing update #3

Hi guys
We know all there is big fishes in the fourm
And small fishes like me
So i suggest to small devs like me to
reunite in order to make ROMS
First for note then if we succeed
We will move to other devices like note 2 s2. And s3
For now i am working at 3 projects
Two based on TW and one based on CM 10.1
I am talking serious so if you are not
Please don't post somthing

update # 1
i almost finish the first project but there is a problem :
as you can see it it is the size
by the way the project is a fusion between note10.1 rom with note 1 rom
you can use note 10.1 Mod on that rom and tablet ui and the whit theme

And go to setup wizard
But the problem is the wifi manger

Update #3
I manged to make it to the home screen
And system UI worked after combining some files from n7000 with files from n8000
And the video player doesn't work and music player
But dialer is working
And reboot and shut down list working
And task manger and widget works perfect and launcher Is amazing
This all for today.
note: i was using bare bean by XxPiexX for n7000
so thank him for letting him using his rom
it was taken by my onion this time ​

I thnk the idea of reducing the number of similar ROMs and improving their quality is great!
So if you guys would all join togheter to achieve this ut would be awesome
