Post Your build.prop's here! - Xperia Play General

Hello EVERYONE,
I wanted to make a thread where we could post our build.props so we could get our plays to go even FASTER!!!
Please post them in a .txt form ( so the file should look like this: build.txt ).
TO INSTALL ( For Noobs )
Change the file from build.txt to build.prop
Copy and paste into /system/
Change permissions to rw-r--r--.
AND also state whether its best for gaming, battery life, multitasking, etc.
AND state if its for R800i, R800x or R800at
AND state for which ROM it is for ( if it is ROM specific )
AND state which version:2.3.4, 2.3.3, 4.0.4, etc.
FIRST, mine. (hehehe..)
Best for everyday usage + a bit more SPEED!!!!
For R800i, Xperia NXT 1.3, 2.3.7

Sure, why not. Stability, speed, and battery tweaks galore, piled on top of the NXT build.prop
And it's rw-r--r-- btw, not rwxrwxrwx
Oh and R800x, 2.3.7

I search the stock build.prop can someone help?

Xperia X8 battery capacity tweak

Xperia X8 battery capacity tweak
BY FREDDIE, ON JULY 26TH, 2011
Introduction
I have been inspecting the Xperia X8 build.prop file when I realize that the battery capacity parameter was not the same as my hardware listed.
The build.prop has been changed after the Eclair update and SE developer may have change the value for compatibility among all region handset. In Android 1.6 version, the battery capacity was set 1200mAH which is correct for my hardware, however in the latest update the battery capacity has been changed to 950mAH. So I decided to change back the value.
Requirement
Rooted device
Root explorer android application
Android ADB
Notepad+ windows application
Procedure
1. Connect your device, turn on debug mode on your android and run this command in italic.
adb pull /system/build.prop C:\
adb pull /system/bin/build.prop C:\
This will fetch file called build.prop from your android and store it at root of C: drive.
2. Now edit the 2 build.prop using Notepad+ and change the parameter:
ro.semc.batt.capacity=1200
Change from 950 to the capacity of your battery.
3. Open Root Explorer and mount the /system folder to read-write (rw)
4. Store the build.prop file back to the X8 by running command:
adb push C:\build.prop /system
5.Set permissions for 2 build.prop in root explorer like this:
[V][V][V]
[V][0][V]
[V][0][V]
6. Reboot your X8 and see if you can get a better life.
Comment or improvement please use the form below.
TnX, i'm sure it will work, but i don't have time.
Its true. Can I change it with RE?
Answer: no.

I don't have a build.prop on my system/bin...weird.
Does this make sense on a custom ROM like GingerDX?

Are u sure ???
This is one of the most important files... you must have it...
Do yu have ROOT ???
Do yu have Root-Explorer (or similar) ???
Do yu looked with Root Explorer into /system (should be one of the last ones) and than the 3th of 4th file ist build.prop
and yu must have it...
@Dare-Devil: I changed it with RE... ???
I think we must wipe battery stats after it...
I am gonna have a look if life is longer...
In GingerDX ROM, the build.prop file don´t have the ro.semc.batt.capacity line, even none linke with any battery text...
This really works??!!
Yes, I don't have it...

i tried this.. waiting for the result.. i also managed to edit the name below the lockscreen im using GC 7.4
The comment in the previous line states:
Code:
# Constant values for Battery test in Service menu
So those values probably are not affecting anything during the normal usage of the phone. They are only used during the test-battery mode, accessible from the secret service menu.
Any other opinions?
i've found this in the build.prop of the gingerdx as well:
ro.product.brand=Sh!tEricsson
Same ro.product.brand=Sh!tEricsson
+1 to Dx

New market on stock rom

Like from title, is it possibile?
And the gingerbread youtube?
Sent from my E15i using XDA App
Given that Market usually updates itself... you should have the recent version installed.
However, if you don't have Market 3.4.4 installed and you actually want this version...
Make sure your phone is rooted!
Get yourself a copy of Market 3.4.4.
For example, download eagleeyetom's Android Market update for CWM and pull the Vending.apk out of the update ZIP.
EDIT: Errr... better use the link in my signature and look into the "Android Market" folder - eagleeyetom has not updated the links in his thread yet. *goes shooting him a PM*
Copy Vending.apk onto your SD card (i.e. into the root of the SD).
By using Root Explorer or Root Browser do the following:
RENAME /system/app/Vending.apk to Vending.backup
Move /system/app/Vending.backup to /sdcard (just for safety in case we need it again)
Copy Vending.apk from /sdcard into /system/app
(Don't forget to tap "Mount R/W" first in Root Explorer)
Adjust the file permissions to
R W -
R - -
R - -
Reboot your phone!
Once the phone has booted up again open up Market ... if it works you now got the latest version.
If it doesn't work just reverse the procedure and restore the Vending.backup as Vending.apk in /system/app and reboot afterwards.
On a second note - if your phone is rooted and you have xRecovery installed ... in eagleeyetom's thread there's also a dual-recovery update ZIP you can flash through xRecovery - look at the last few posts in his thread.
I'll update links tomorrow.
Sent from my X8 using xda premium
Thanks both, i will wait for the new link.
And the gingerbread youtube? It's the same?
Sent from my E15i using XDA App
Simply try (see attachment)...
No guarantee that either Market or YouTube will work on Stock 2.1.1 ... I think none of us tested this case as we all roll on custom ROMs.
However, same procedure as with Vending.apk...
Locate the original YouTube.apk in /system/app and replace it with the attached version - don't forget to rename the APK accordingly!
If either one doesn't work you at least know it's incompatible with Android 2.1
Thank you, i did it!

My pleasure, I guess there wasn't anyone else who had actually collected most of the stuff that suddenly vanished with MultiUpload going down.
I just regret I didn't keep a complete collection of GingerDX and FroyoBread ... while I dug up a few GingerDX versions below v013 I couldn't find any working FroyoBread downloads anymore (below v023b, but then v023b was the greatest release of doixanh's Froyo ROM anyways).
EDIT: And yes, it was a shame that the bust on MegaUpload took out lots of legal downloads (also on other file hosting sites that were just collateral damage) from XDA ... while this is a topic for debate a custom ROM built out of the CM7/AOSP sources is perfectly legal - that's why I don't have any headache in re-hosting the stuff on MediaFire (and in case morons decide to take out each and every file hosting site out there I still have everything backed up - in worst case I could re-host on Dropbox where I hamstered up 10.8GB over time).
I found FroyoBread v20 and 21 on my hard drive. I'll upload it to my Mediafire.
EDIT: I found few more in the net. Uploading right now.

[ROM Release] CyanogenMod 7.2 [Made by Genokolar] (Optimized By Moihack)

This is a ROM I made by cooking the latest Geno's CyanogenMod (4/06/2012) so it's Gingerbread 2.3.7
I tried to make the ROM as small I could (size is 60 MB only) and build the system around your needs by leaving only the essential apps there
I also applied some fixes to the ROM
Changes:
1) Home Button Works (Changed Geno's Kernel in the boot.img with an older one)
2) Soft Touch Buttons light properly (like number 1)
3) All Chinese Apps Removed
4) Added Some Apps(ZeamLauncher,Play Store,WallpapersChooser,Music)
5) Changed Default CPU Governor to SmartAssV2 and Default IO Governor to DeadLine
6) Added Some init.d tweaks
7) Removed Lots of Audio files from media folder to save space
8) Updated hosts file(no more ads in apps) and gps.conf(optimized for europe, although I didn't tested it)
9) Added Root Permissions
Known Issues:
ROM starts with GPS enabled by default, remember to turn it off after installation
Calculator scrolling is slow. This is a general AOSP gingerbread issue for stock calculator app. Even a nexus s lags when scrolling to advanced panel in calculator (tried this personally).
Theme Support is still there, but there is no extra theme included in order to save up space.Just install any .apk theme and then apply it from theme chooser/manager.
TV-OUT doesn't work.
Installation:
Do the following in any order
-------------------------------------------------
Wipe data/factory reset
Advanced->Wipe Dalvik Cache
Mounts & Storage-> Format system
--------------------------------------------------
Now flash the .zip file
Reboot
Enjoy!
Well test it out,and tell what you think!
Happy Flashing

@sewa2k I am not that good to be able to compile a ROM from sources. Also that why I wrote the word "cooking" in bold in the description.I made it with dsxdia kitchen
@zchuxz3x I unpacked the boot.img in dsxdia kitchen of a previous geno's CM release(this one to be precise: sourceforge.net/projects/genoandroid/files/update-cm-7.2.0-RC0-u8800pro-Geno-120202-en-fixed.zip/download) and took the zImage of this release.I just added it to the boot.img of the 4/06 release and then home button & light of touch buttons started working again.
You are free to just copy, paste my boot.img to your mod if you want too

Are you in 2.2 baseband? I think you first need to upgrade to gingerbread, root, install cwm and then install any .35 kernel rom.otherwise you will have the random reboots problem.

Of course there is not a problem! Android is a free OS and everyone is allowed to make any modification to any existing rom and then share it
Only one thing.I couldn't find any changes in camera.apk

The rom works pretty flawless, however when I launch it the first time I'm asked to give a "Sim Network Unlock Pin". I've read a little about it, and it looks like something confuses the phone to believe that it's locked to a certain mobile phone company (it's not)
Will this cause any problems later, if I keep using the rom without doing anything?

[TUT] How to easily port CM7,CM9,CM10 Based ROMs to HTC Aria

Easiest and best way to port CM7,CM9,CM10 Based ROMs to HTC Aria/Intruder/Gratia
Code:
I do not guarantee any successful porting.
I am not responsible for [B]bricked devices, dead SD cards, or a broken device[/B].
[B]YOU[/B] are choosing to make these modifications,
and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device,
I will laugh at you.
->Copied from some xda thread.
*****
But a rom, no matter how bad should *not* do any physical non recoverable harm to your device, flashing a rom or restoring a nandroid backup via cwm *should* immediately fix any problems what so ever.
And I will try to help in any ways I can.
I am NOT a developer, I can not code, compile, etc, I am only an android enthusiast with half a brain able to follow specific instructions.
This guide is actually somewhat a good combination of various "how to port roms"
guides found here on xda suited and very slightly modified for our beloved Aria.
Thanks to all of those threads and their writers.
Click to collapse
Actual Tutorial starts here:
I will try to make this guide as straight forward as possible.
PORT ROM:
First you need to figure out what rom you are going to be porting.
For our Aria, The rom you want to port should belong to a device that has:
HTC brand (optional but recommended)
A ArmV6 CPU (VVVV important)
A HVGA Resolution (optional, any mdpi should do,if not just open the system apk files using 7zip and resize all the BIG images.)
The Rom needs to be:
CM7 BASED OR CM10 BASED OR CM9 BASED.
The full zip size less than 150MB(Recommended).
What Does Port Mean:
This simply refers to the rom you will be trying to port.
Recommended device to port from is the HTC Wildfire S a.k.a Marvel.
But any other device
BASE ROM:
What Does Based Mean:
It means that the rom should have similar sources and stuff,
Meaning you can only attempt to port a android 2.3 rom if you already have a 2.3 rom on the device.(In our case cm7).
So,
For porting 2.3 roms, chose cyanogenmod 7.2 as BASE.
For porting 4.0 roms, chose cyanogenmod 9 as BASE.
For porting 4.1 roms, chose cyanogenmod 10 as BASE.
ETC... I hope you get the point.
:fingers-crossed:
Thing you will need:
A good Zip extractor and compressor. (I use 7zip, its free. If you have winrar or something else,it will also do.)
Notepad++ (This thingy is awesome! And you need it for some stuff)
Android SDK(Not the whole thing, just adb zip from our sticky thread will do.)
Some Basic Android Knowledge, Root knowledge.
Mostly Common Sense.
Click to collapse
Step 1:
Extract our device rom zip and name the folder AriaRom,
Extract our Port rom zip and name the folder PortRom.
Step 2:
Delete the following folders on the AriaRom/system folder:
App(You can keep some non conflicting indepent apps if you want)
Framework
Fonts
Media
Step 3:
Go to
Code:
PortRom folder/system
and copy:
App(You can keep some non conflicting indepent apps if you want)
Framework
Fonts
Media
and then paste them to AriaRom/system.
Step 4:
You need to open these two folders side by side(on windows, open both folders then right click on the task bar and click "Tile windows vertically").
The two Folders are:
Code:
[LIST]
[*]AriaRom/system/etc
[*]PortRom/system/etc
[/LIST]
In
Code:
etc/permission
folder copy all the permissions files in PortRom to your AriaROM folder except
Code:
platform
handheld_hardware
Then open init.d Folder in AriaRom and Delete Everything except
Code:
banner
and then copy all the files inside init.d folder of PortRom to init.d folder of AriaRom.
Step 5:
Now
Code:
AriaRom/system/buid.prop
and
PortRom/system/buid.prop
files using Notepad++
On AriaRom Build.prop make changes as you wish.
Code:
[LIST]
[*]ro.build.id=
[*]ro.build.display.id=
[*]ro.build.date=
[*]ro.modversion=
[/LIST]
Copy and replace these values from PortRom buildprop to Aria rom buildprop.
ro.config.ringtone=
ro.config.notification_sound=
ro.config.alarm_alert=
Also Copy anything you Find Extra and important-ish in ADDITIONAL BUILD PROPERTIES using common sense.(Not much major stuff, but if bootlooped, copy whole thingy.)
IMPORTANT Step of commons sense:
Open up both
Code:
META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script
using Notepad++.
Compare AriaRom AND PortRom line by line(on two tabs in notepad++ easily done).
Copy extra/additional lines from PortRom which are not present in AriaRom to aria roms updater script.
Step 6:
If You find any extra file or folder in system folder of PORTrom than copy them to your Ariarom system folder.
Finally, zip the
Code:
META-INF
system
boot.img
data(if exists).
folders/files togather and use "normal" compression if asked.
Name the zip to whatever you want, and walla you have successfully ported the rom!
:fingers-crossed:
Doing the above steps should land you a pretty solid rom, as solid as the base rom.
Still,Incase of problems:
If the ported rom does not boot:
Stuck at boot screen
Bootlooping
Then copy system/lib/
Code:
libandroid_runtime.so
libandroid_servers.so
libmedia_jni.so
files from PortRom to AriaRom system/lib.
It should boot, if it still doesnt, check the above steps and find out what you did wrong.
Common reasons could be:
Build.prop mess up
Updater Script mess up
Forgot to delete or copy file
After it boots,
Everything that worked on Base rom, should work on Ported.
Every problem on Base Rom will exist on Ported.
In case of root related problems(settings not being saved, system app FCs,etc), install a root app like titanium backup or something and check if it works,if it doesnt its surely root issue, just download and flash latest superuser zip.
If some FC,Port rom funciton not working, etc issues appear, you need to decompile framework-res.apk using apktool and change device specific xml files to ours. This is a part where I have the most trouble and suck at.
Just search xda for

I don't think so... the Samsung Galaxy Ace with device number S5830 should be Armv6, but in the Galaxy Ace Forums there is also a place for the Galaxy Ace II, which is Armv7. Maybe that's a bit confusing. But nims11 PAC-Man Rom is definitely for the Armv6 device.

In that case you'll need to unpack both boot.img aka the kernel , fix bootclass path in init.RC by replacing it with the value from port roms init.rc.
Ill try to port that rom soon and upload a fixed boot.img (if I can get it to boot),if you don't beat me to it. it looks cool.
Why are SMARTphones soo... Freaking Dumb?
Bootclasspath is the same on both roms. So there must be a mistake in updater-script and / or build.prop. I've just messed up my updater-script, I guess, so I'll make a new one and post it later together with the build.prop.
I got this pac rom booting & everything operational except per app dpi(exists in port rom).
This rom works with the guide.

Sadly, I didn't get any time to try so far. But on Sunday I lost my Gratia, so I won't continue this project; I've upgraded to the HTC Desire X.

That's a shame. Similar thing happened to me. I lost my Aria right before i had a chance to try this, and upgraded to the Nexus 4.
will this method work on cm10.1 and this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2297580 ??
Could work, just try... I would do it if I still had the phone...

It should pretty much work,
If it doesnt, just send me the
Updater script
Build.prop
files of BOTH roms, And I'll have a look.
I wouldve tried myself but my aria has no network and has random reboot issues due to falling hard.

THEMES for LSxxxx 4.1.2 only in 2nd ROM

Hi all.
I open this thread about how i theme my OMEGA V20 LSD ROM only for people who are using an LSD ROM (works with LSJ,LS8 or >) in 2nd ROM.
Before continuing reading my speech, You have to follow this uniq thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2120514
to understang what i'm talking about.
If you have understand the thread, you can adjust and use my ZIPs as you want.
(I use the thread mentioned with OMEGA V20 LSD which i REPACK for good use in 2ND ROM.)
I Assume that my ZIPs THEMER are working only in this configuration.
What about this special configuration with a little explaination :
due to the volume of LSJ,LS8,LSD rom, your system have to be organize like that :
\system\app\*.apk
\data\app\app\*.apk (which contain apks system which normally are in \system\app\ but in our case, they are
symlinked in \system\app\*.ln so we have gain place in partition \system\ , also *.apks and *.ln are
put with the good rights.
So if you have this configuration you can use my ZIP and in case modified them before flash if your APKs system are put in <> forders from mine.
I have to modify installtheme.sh and updater-script too.
You can see some example here too :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cCpwfLOP4As
some other interesting screenshot on pages http://paymadman.blogspot.fr/2013/03/theme-pour-omega-v20-lsd.html
and http://paymadman.blogspot.fr/2013/02/omega-v20-lsd-orange-ou-vert.html
If i make a mistake in creating thread here, inform me to help me too.
Thank's for reading until here and hope you have also understand my poor school english we learn in France and excuse it
All my ZIP here or here always updating
Be careful
Sometimes flashing my ZIP take very very long time but dont be affraid, it's not freeze like windows XP before blue screen , you have to be patient during flash, that's all
If someone make Omega(or any other stock rom) looks like a CM10.1 that would be an achievement for sure.
Nice info man.
