If you have 8 gb and flashed 1 rom im sure you have atleast one backup. If so that looks about right to me... I do not think you have a issue...
Just download more gigabytes.

I don't have any videos of that but yesterday I installed the Amazon Appstore and everything seems so small, i guess the app "thinks" that the note is a tablet and behaves accordingly. Maybe that's what you're looking for. Here's an screenshot:

Try resetting before exchanging it. There has to be an application that is killing your battery.

Try and force close it from applications inside settings and also clear data and cache from there.
After that if still not working uninstall and reinstall.
If still no luck, then there must be something wrong with your config or the app is just incompatible.
