I have been reading where people are finding out that they dont have the correct battery in their Droid HD...I also checked mine with Battery Monitor Widget by 3c and behold it was wrong....I have the Droid Razr HD battery suppose to be 2530mah and mine is a whopping 1500mah,,,Others are finding the same thing...I have a replacement on the way.....Im totally convinced now that the app is wrongfully report the mah of the battery....
Mine says 1500 too. Where did u call for a replacement. What was their reasoning?

Called Tech support.and told them that my battery says 1500mah when it should say 2530mah. They asked where I see that information and I told them on their site under the phone specs and motorola site as well...They said ok we will have you one out tomorrow over nighted....
No way!!!

Are you charging your phone completely before looking at the stats? I have a MAXX HD and it says 1500 too, but while I was playing with the app I saw something that mentioned accurate battery stats requires a charge cycle (or something like that)

I'm fairly certain that the app is inaccurate, granted I installed it when I was at 49% battery remaining and it was claiming I had 1500. I have managed to go two full days without charging so I certainly don't believe the number I'm seeing.

The weird thing about this is
If somebody called verizon.. the tech support can scan ur phone
I highly doubt they over nighted a phone for free unless they detected something weird as well
And the other weird thing is some people are showing the correct battery and others are not

I'm buying my dad an evo and I have a few questions
1)Will its battery last from 6am to 12pm with heavy calling and virtually no txts and internet use?
2) what would be good under volt settings for this phone?
thx

1. Yes. Six hours is fine even with really heavy usage (though every phone is different and I'm sure somebody has some horror story to refute me). Just tell him how to turn the radios off that he's not using. For me, I never use Bluetooth, rarely use WiFi, and when I do, they can be toggled on. Don't turn on 4G if you're not in a 4G area, that radio kills the battery. Just don't leave them on if you're not using them, let them be more "on demand". Rooting and getting a tweaked ROM/kernel will also help. I suggest VaelPak 3.2 with Netarchy, or better yet, Vaelpak GB with SavagedZen. See my sig for a link if you're interested.
2. Most people are good with -75mV, some can go higher (100 to 125 in one or two cases) but -75 seems to be the consensus. In addition, you can set different min/max CPU speeds (this is a native option in the latest VP GB beta). That way, the CPU will scale its speed based on usage. Most people go somewhere around 245mHz min to 998mHz max, or you can overclock a bit, or you can underclock so the max is only in the 500-600s. It actually doesn't make a noticeable difference in performance for some people, unless you're gaming and then you can bump it up again anyway.
LOTS of stuff to play around with to get the best battery vs. performance balance.

He might need an iPhone or a BB.

No.
And as far as the phone lasting from 6 A.M. to 12 P.M. .... I believe it has about 6 hours of talk time (continuous). Take that for what it is, and given his situation. Can he not utilize a charger? Situation won't allow? As said, there are things that can be done to help 'manage' battery life, but that isn't going to yield some insane results. If he doesn't need data he could disable data, keep voice open, and see how that goes. I couldn't see that necessarily doubling the talk time. As mentioned, also, you can trial it for 30 days.
edit: slow on the draw
Maybe the Evo isn't right for him. Especially if you can't wrestle it from his old man grip for a return. Could a BB do?
He doesn't like bb because of the small buttons
I think I might just buy him an extra battery car charger and then under volt it od

Evolution 3d probably wont have better battery life. You should buy him extra batteries with an external charger. He'll be fine with about 6..
Gimme a couple a days to come up with a new sig that is cool.
Lol yeah 6 am to 12pm is 6 hours.. 12pm would noon, so according to all the clocks I've ever looked at, it would be 6 hours. And yeah wait for the 3D. Probably same battery but might as well get a newer model.

Hey guys a friend of mine got this phone about 3 weeks ago and is having some serious battery drain. Like from fully charged to the red in about 3 hours with minimal use. I told her to take it back and get another one. What I would like to know is if this is normal for this phone or just luck of the draw and got a defect. Thanks and apologize if this was already posted or is in the wrong place.

You can go under settings>about phone>battery>what's using battery and see what the highest percentage of use is. That may narrow it down to an app or android process causing the drain. Is the phone rooted or unrooted?
Unrooted completely stock and the screen eats about 97%of the battery. I dropped the brightness to its lowest level disabled wifi and everything else I could think of but the battery life really had no improvement

It wont make cence now because i figured out how to edit. It 50% off of batteries for 4g phones at verizon stores. I ended up getting 2 ext batteries for $50 and both came with a new back cover. It was in Portland, OR area not sure if everywhere but is just under a 2800 mah battery made by motorola. Well atliest a battery aproved by motorola. Makes a huge difference cause i use my internet alot. Now all i need is somthing to charge just the battery. I know motorila sells them but there kinda exspencive.
By the way i just figured out how to edit a little

Funny part was that my coworker got a replacement from them a few weeks earlier and got a inc 2.

I have tried asurion online about everyday for the last month and they seem to always have OG Dincs in stock. I have a cracked screen so it is cheaper for me to just replace that myself. Just hoping to get a Dinc 2 instead so I have a newer device until HTC releases their next super phone a april/summer. My dinc has been great though with CM7.
Has anyone got a Dinc 2 from asurion recently?

I love this little beauty! Really though, everything it different about it IMO. From the way it feels in your hand, to all the differences with ICS. It actually took a couple days of modifying things before I was actually happy with it. After the first day, I was pretty certain I would return it and wait for the S III. But the community here is quick to fix most problems, so I rooted and unlocked it and haven't looked back since! If you're up for an upgrade, I would definitely took into getting one.
