1) yes you can use following kernel to get permanent cwm
Whitexp kernel 0.8rc3
Savie's kernel #73
Merruk kernel 2.0/2.5
2) Thats the average free ram
u can achieve a higher number but it will decrease performance, battery nd no multitasking almost
its ur choice try supercharger v6 script.....

Hi can u help me how to overclock the custom rom called jellyblast.. Bec. When i try to overclock my sgy with jellyblast rom..it always stock up in samsung logo..
Sent from my GT-S5360 using xda app-developers app
If you want to overclock your current ROM, for example that Jelly Blast. You have to use the latest Maroc-Os Developer Edition Deluxe kernel. It has overclock and underclock features.
If you want to try it, follow this instruction. Its revanescense' post.

Without bug and no lag
Just follow my steps : ( working )
-flash fresh stock rom
-flash jellyblastv 3
-update jellyblast to 3.0.2
-flash merruk kernel pre-final 2.0 via odin or method from mai77 ( CWM)
-Backup your rom via CWM
-Flash via CWM ext4convertsigned.zip ( its kernel + Ext4convert + reset bin)
-restore your system/data and cache via backup/advance restore. Do not restore boot.img
-flash module elite.zip
- its done
Here the merruk kernel pre-final 2.0 http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...9&d=1336694938
Here the module from elite version http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...4&d=1349642823

it has a 1GHZ OVERCLOCK...well what is UNREAL about that -.-
oh will the instructions work on hyperion build 6?
Maybe run some benchmarks idiot

Yes. It should work. I tried and tested it with HYPERION build 6 and 7. But i decided to back in savie kernel because it is light and battery saver. Also merruk kernel is slow in CMW.

Benchmark test doesn't only computes cpu integers. It computes all things in our phone in terms of performance. Don't say that merruk kernel doesn't have true overclock. They are working very hard to give us very good kernel like that.

1st thank you to use my work..
2nd if u use merruk try linpack (search on market) then compare with other non-oc kernel..
I still can't get 2.5 to work on jb v3 please help

Using merruk kernel on jelly blast really isn't a good idea. I tried it and it lags a lot. Even after bacem tweaks the over clock doesn't really work. But since you requested, here is how I done it.
Flash merruk kernel. (mai77 way)
Reboot
Backup through cwm
Flash ext4 converter(or something like that)
Go to advanced restore, restore data and system only
Do not reboot now
Flash elite kernel(or something like that).zip
Reboot.
Done!
P. S kuro kernel is better than merruk when using jelly blast, if you really hate kuro, try repencis kernel.

Overclocking doesnt depend on the rom at all.It depends on which kernel u r using.get a kernel which supports overclocking and it should work.

merruk kernel supports overclocking upto 1.2 GHz but is unstable..
it is rooted in sbin and many apps can't discover root
Hells fusion kernel has no overclocking but is smooth and stable and CWM used is very fast
So I recommend gets fusion kernel

Every kernel has some pros and cons....
As for merruk kernel(known for overclocking) is sometimes unstable.
However merruk has also provided with a non overclocking version(2.0)
You can try it....

not worth installing it, latest stock ROM is faster compared to it, also its not stable, overheats easly and you can get random FCs - reboots, i'd recommend using latest stock kernel.
your phone will generate more heat on 1.248 mhz, so you'll get low performance compared to stock 1.000 mhz CPUs and it will reduce your battery - CPU life.
If you still want init.d and other kind of stuff custom kernels has to offer, try hellfusion #50, its the fastest custom kernel in my opinion, though i didn't test any custom kernels in last 2 months

Read again, try hellfusion #50, I could play jetpack joyride without any lag, except when game switches between textures (thats kind of due to RAM bottleneck)
Hellfusion #50 Kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1891682&highlight=hellfusion
And also keep in mind no kernel is good without tweaks, I'd recommend fly on mod and v6 supercharger [do not use fly on mod ram manager while v6 supercharger ram fixes are active]
You should also try defferent governors and I/O schedulers, I used antutu benchmark to test results with different I/O - governor combinations. Some of the kernels give low performance on smartassv2, while others give the best performance the kernel could give, so you'd better try all of them.
Galaxy y has very low internal storage, so try to keep it clean (when theres 30 mb empty or so, my phone gets lag spikes while gaming)
The kernel I gave you above has ext4 support. So use repencis ext4 converter or any other converters that convert system, data and cache partitions to ext4, then REMOVE EXT 4 JOURNALISM (IT MADE MY PHONE A LOT FASTER)
Ext 4 journalism disabling script : http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2009287&d=1370093464

CM10.1. I tried crossbreeder but couldn't get entropy tweak to load on reboot even with alternative method so I went back to seeder.
Other than that I use greenify to hybernate apps, Juicedefender to cut off data when screen off, and init.d script for "sd read ahead"-tweak, raised to 1024kb for better sdcard read speed.
Link2SD with a second partition on external sd to link apps and save some space if needed.
