MyTouch 4g won't stop vibrating - myTouch 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Today I unrooted my phone using the ”revert procedure” found in the TRUE Permaroot guide. Then I upgraded back to gingerbread, but my phone won't stop vibrating even when theres no notifications.

It continuously vibrates, or every once in a while, or what?

It vibrates about every 20 seconds or so very irritating especially when I'm in the middle of a phone call.

I would try re-downloading the PD15IMG.zip, verifying the md5 and then reflashing it. That rewrites everything, so it's your best shot of fixing it if it's a software problem.

I did what you suggested and that didn't work. I rerooted my phone also and flashed a custom ROM ' toasted marsh mellow ' to be specific and its still vibrating.

If that didn't fix it, I can't imagine anything short of cracking it open and ripping out the vibrator would.

Dang. It's becoming tolerable oddly enough, the vibrating has also gotten quieter. I guess setting my phone to vibrate is out of the question. Thank you for trying to help though , much appreciated.

Xda app force closing

Has anyone else experiences this? It always happens after I go into another app or put the phone to sleep from xda. Usually after 10-15 minutes I go back into xda and it takes for to load. Then once I press back or home it force closes. Not a big deal but gets kind of annoying.

Yeah happens to me too. I go in, it says connecting to server forever, then I hit back to close that popup, then if I hit back again it slides over to a blank screen, then the force close notification pops up.

I had this issue on froyo after I removed/disabled some system apps but I can't recall which one was responsible. Have you removed anything? You may just want to reinstall

Yea I think that's what it will come down too.

Touch Screen Problem. Doesnt look Hardware Related

I have this problem with my phone. And I dont know if someone has experienced such a problem. The bottom part of the screen doesnt respond in some apps but responds in others. And its not like say it responds in whatsapp today it wont respond for whatsapp next time. If it doesnt respond for a certain app, thats it,it wont respond to that app again no matter what I tried. And I dont think its hardware related. Cause if it was, why would the area that doesnt respond for app A respond to app B. I dont really remember when it started but it started when I was using slimbean rom 4.2.

Its happened to me a couple times. Restart your phone. Also sometimes I couldnt even enter my screen lock pattern because of it lol.
As for mine, a restart doesnt solve the problem. So I am stuck with it. And does it feel like your phones performance has depreciated comparing it to the time you got it. Even if u do overclock it. I dunno but it feels like my phone's performance is really low. Dunno why.

A simple factory reset is able to solve your problem. But having stock recovery and all, all data will be lost though. So better make a backup of what's inside the sd card.

[Q] Won't turn on after reboot?

Hi, My phone has been working fine for months running the PAC rom.
I told my phone to reboot and it turned off and didn't come back. No combination of buttons get anything to come on the screen.. And suggestions?
Sounds like hardware related.

What I did prior to this was installed viper4android dsp driver and it prompted me to reboot.
Idk, try USB, that will trip it if the buttons somehow aren't being monitored.
