[Q] can I put any rom on my droid2

It seems that there are roms specifically for the droid2, so does that mean that I can only flash droid2 specific roms? or can I flash any rom?
the only place that I know to get droid2 roms is droid2files.com, is there any other place that is good to go to.
Only a Droid 2 can be flashed with Droid 2 roms. Fission has a Droid X but if you put it on your D2 it won't boot right. If you find a ROM you like make sure it's for the D2 and you follow all instructions to install it correctly.
There are other forums with ROMs also and they have links in each specific thread to download from. Droidforums is a good place. But we have a lot of the same ROMs as them here at XDA.

Awesome thanks.

Fission rom manager question.

Idk if this is a dumd question, but I have fission rom manager lite installed on my phone, n I was reading another forum n it said I can donate and ill get a link to the full version. Does anybodu know the difference between lite and full version? Also how do I donate to get the full one?

Angdroid had released a newer version in the ROM manager that had one small fix. Otherwise, there's not much of a difference if I remember correctly. Honestly though, Fission development is done (developer moved on). I would choose a different ROM if I were you. Liberty, Apex, or even the fresh CM7 that cvpcs is working on are all GB-based and have more promise than Fission does in its current state.
Ooooooooo, ok lol thanx ill deff check one of those out

No, the hardware is different. They use entirely different kernels. Also, there are barely any roms for the X2. Not any worth flashing, anyways.

[Q] Reviving my old D2 for my sister, latest best ROM?

Hey guys,
Need a quick answer. I'm reviving my old Droid 2.
I have the CyanogenMod ICS unofficial. Sometimes it lags. I want to install the best ROM out there for my sister. She's coming from iPod touch 3G.
Any suggestions on ROM? Preferreably one that still in active development. It will have to be no lags and no funky businesses.
Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. Is CM7 is the best and stable ROM for the D2?

Can't tell you which rom is best, too many factors go in to that.

Best/most stable ROM threads aren't allowed as they're too subjective, you'll receive lots of differing opinions on the same thing. Only way is to try yourself and find the one that fits you best as that's what these forums are about.!

Ah. Okay. But can you tell me which ROMs are most active or newest? Like for the Nexus 4, there're CM, AOKP and PA.
I need a recommendation because I would have no chance to test-run every ROM myself; my sister needs a smartphone very soon. And I'm hesitant to give her the official Gingerbread, because to my recollection, it's very laggy and Motoblur is a pain to use.
Thanks before.

My utmost gratitude.
Your clear answer saved me from hours of research and days of testings.
If you don't mind answering a follow up question: what do you think of the Liberty and MIUI? Are they still in development?

[Q] 2.1 For The Bravo?

Does anyone out there have a NAND backup/ROM/SBF for the original Android 2.1 Eclair that came with the Bravo that they would be willing to share? I know that I will not get any support for apps or anything on my Bravo if I had Eclair on it, I just wanted to try it for fun for like a day or so. Unfortunately, I can't find any links for downloading this version of Android for this device.

I am super grateful that someone still had the Eclair SBF hiding somewhere. I don't have a Moto Bravo, but having the SBF will be valuable to some very specific tinkering I am doing. Thank you!
