So i have a nexus s and i was thinking buying the nexus 4 cuz the S as a screen to small and cant handle.multitasking. but now i have for 250 a 32 gb nexus 7!!! Is it fast enough? How its compared to a galaxy note 2? Does 1 gb of ram is enough? OC make it really faster?
Thanks

Really?
You need people to tell you what you can find out via the search button?
How lazy does that make you?
Dumb question & I'm probably dumber for taking the time to write this!

Wrong sub-forum? and I have a hard time reading the first three words of your statement =/
Also, I suggest waiting. Dual-Core phones next year look pretty promising.
Ok thanks...

No the G2 is successor of the G1. Nexus S is supposed to be for the N1.
The G2 has a better chip than the N1 as it has the next gen snapdragon on it.
first of all you have put up a question in a developer forum . You have three choices right now :
1.T-Mobile G2
2.T-Mobile Nexus S
3.T-Mobile Optimus 2 by LG
You should try the Nexus S with hands on and compare it to the Nexus One.

I did, 8 hours worth at Best Buy
Two things stood out:
1. The Nexus S screen was excellent, both visually and multitouch support
2. The GPU was definitely better when compared on Asphalt 5 and Homerun 3D
But in the end, it wasn't worth the $529 sticker price. It's a good phone, but coming from the Nexus One, it wasn't enough to push me over the edge.
I am so sorry I put my questiooin the wrong forum....

I haven't have a chance to test out the N2, but the spec of N2 just doesn't seem much improve over the N1 for an upgrade. But if you must buy now, I will still choose the N2 over the rest, if not you can wait till next Jan when companies will announces lots of news at the CES.
Yea..wrong place, Q&A please. Thanks
if you want a "High end" phone able to play Dungeon Defenders and future games, get the Galaxy S or Nexus S. If you don't play games at all or videos and multimedia are not your primary concern stick with the nexus 1. it's fine.

Money to burn, that's a terrible dilemma to have. Anyways since you're in the nexus 7 forum, I going to have to suggest getting a nexus 7. No bias here!
Isn't the Xoom like 1-2 years old? Anyway, I wouldn't consider the Xoom. Too big, too heavy, too old. Go with the N7, but buy it from a brick and mortar store so you don't have to post the "my negative experiences with buying mail order" since we have about 5000 of those threads already.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
I would definitely go with the Nexus 7. It's a much newer and faster device, although like Getbuzzin said, you are in the N7 forums so that's what you're going to hear around these parts. =)

Nobody is gonna say Xoom in this place. N7 is the way to go.

Why would you want a big clunky and old device like the Xoom?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
Buy them both and play with FOR 10 days . on day 10 look across the room on the table . The tablet laying there and not next to you is the one to SEND BACK..
Simple easy solution.. But then again i have way more computers in Our home then people.. I so hate returning tech gadgets .. whooweeeeeee

I've had a Nexus S for about a year now and it's the perfect phone for me aside from one little detail: expandable memory.
I'll probably be upgrading soon but I want something that:
-has a Removable Battery like the Nexus S
-at least 1Ghz processor
-between 4 and 5 inches large in screen size
- Expandable Memory (Or at least 32GB, but only if it's the only choices)
- Customizable (not too complicated to root and some good choices for Stock Roms)
Any recommendations?
Galaxy s3 meets all the categories
Sent from my Nexus S using xda app-developers app
Galaxy S3 is a little too expensive and new for me lol. I was thinking something in the same price range or less as say a Galaxy Nexus (which I would get if it had expandable memory). Plus, it's a little on the big side for me tbh.

The Nexus S is similar to the Galaxy S, and the Galaxy Nexus is similar to the GS2. I like the GS2, personally, though it seems that it's still more expensive than you might like.

I bought a Huawei Ascend G300 for my daughter for $134 AUD (about $140USD). Checks all your list. Rooting was easy. Stock roms are only up to ICS, Custom CM roms up to JB 4.1.2. Phone seemed quite zippy and has a fast reboot which is way quicker than rebooting a Nexus S, Doesn't have its own forum on XDA but MoDaCo has a G300 forum with everything you need. Battery life is amazing,
If you want to stray outside of the Nexus family, the HTC Raider is an underrated phone. Some development still going on, and it is LTE ready.
GS3 Mini is slightly similar but more powerful to NS.

Re: [Q] Buy nexus 7 or no !??
Good lord. Another thread like this? LOL
My advice, seriously ....don't buy one.

Anyone here have a Nexus 7? I don't see why we would, it's only the Nexus 7 forum.
The entire fabric of existence will change. You'll run faster, jump higher, last longer in bed, move metal objects with your mind.. nothing is ever the same again.
Or please just do a search. Please watch some videos. We're not your parents. We don't care what you buy and what you don't.
Re: [Q] Buy nexus 7 or no !??
If you want it then buy it...I love mine but I am used to android and like how android works more than IOS. For me the battery life is pretty great but I don't have another tablet to compare it too as it was my first tablet but I easily can get a day or twos use out of it on a charge...but at the same time I have been extreamly board and killed the battery in 6 hours before.

And when?
I apologize if I missed any.
For me, probably the S4..maybe by the end of the year.
EDIT: Probably will get the N4 soon.
My contract ends next year in march so the next nexus phone probably or the galaxy note 3

I will dismiss my Nexus S with broken screen on Christmas.. probably Galaxy S4 with Snapdragon 600 (for a good price) but I have to look at Nexus 5 before I decide (LG?? Motorola?? specs??)
So... I can't buy a new phone like s4, butterfly or one... I need to buy in second hand from Android forums (Android PT).
BTW. I need something bigger and with a better resolution (540x960 min.).
So I looking for a galaxy nexus or something with a bigger camera... but galaxy nexus still my favorite.
PS: we don't have the nexus4 here in Portugal! So.... galaxy nexus ; )

...mmmh... will be traumatic move from an Nexus (specifically) to an iPhone... how do you do a full-wipe?? I can't live without CWM hahahahaha
Sorry about that post just for laugh..
Probably Sony Xperia Z, the IP57 certification is a plus for me.
Got myself a Galaxy S3. Got a decent price for a decent phone. Sorry Nexus S, but you were just too slow for me.
I'm looking at the S4, possibly the S4 Mini (if it's announced). My contract is up in July so I have a bit of time. I would like to stay with a Nexus, so maybe I'll wait for the Nexus 5 announcement and hope that it's not boring.
Nexus 4 probably, as I'm only 16 years old and don't have a huge budget. Maybe a Nexus 5 if it will be as money-saving as the Nexus 4!
Me Gusta!
N4 is on the way

I have a iPod, too and I bought it before my Nexus S. So I know the advantages and disadvantages. Full-Wipe? iTunes can do that. It takes more time but it work
But I won't sell my Nexus S so I will stay in the Nexus S Section

Don't think you can go wrong with the N4: A competitor phone with great specs and even a greater price of $300. The demand for it speaks for itself.
