Hi guys,i have a very big problem: my hd2 form yesterday didn't read the sd card.
I don't know why,but the recovery and andr oid can't read the sd card.
I had formatted it in 3 primary partition with this order: swap-linux,ext4 and fat32.
I did it with gparted, and the pc don't have problem to read the sd card, only my smartphone don't do it.
How can i resolve?
Try swapping partition order.
It should be fat32 then ext4 then swap

I got a new class 6 8GB sd card, and I want to copy over all the stuff from my old 4GB card ... fat32, ext, and linux-swap.
What's the easiest way to do this? (I'm on a Mac, and I have a USB sd card reader.)
Can I avoid having to re-install all the apps in the apps2sd partition?
(I assume I'll have to manually partition the new card.)
Thanks!
Hi! I have a questions.. i made 2 partitions on my 16gb sd card (primary fat32 and primary ext3), but i when i decided to change my android nand rom and so, reformat the sd, I formatted in windows xp only the fat 32 partition and then i still don't find the ext3 partition in gparted. My sd first was 16gb now is 15gb. i lost 1 gb!!!
thank's guys!!!
I just bought 32GB sandisk sd and I tried every known way to create ext partition but every time I got the same, ıt creates an "OTHER" partition.
Please donot suggest these options.
UBUNTU 10.10 (I have dual boot on PC)
Mni Partition tool
Easeus Partition tool
CMW
I guess it is hardware (SD CARD) problem. do you know any sollition
Also I searched in forum, there is no same problem :S
am I only one who has THE problem??!!
no body? :/
Try partitioning your SD card through CWM. Keep in mind that doing this WILL ERASE EVERYTHING ON YOUR SD CARD!!
Go to CWM, choose advanced, partition SD card.
First choices are for EXT partition, choose 1024MB, 0 for Swap.
Once completed, mount usb storage, throw a backup or install your new rom.
I tryed that to but its no longer a problem I just broke it to 4-5 parts
Maybe try GParted, I partitioned my 8GB card with it.
I want that 32 gb card. T-T Sad... xD
Sorry about you having to waste your money on something that didn't work though. ._.
Well a 16 gb card will work.
experiencing the same problem - i have a 32GB card and when partitioned it is read as "OTHER" have no idea why 2GB, 4GB and 8GB will work but 32GB cant be partitioned to a2SD
need help fixing this problem
Rooted and running Prime 1.4, I formatted and partitioned the micro sd card with sdext, swap space, and fat32 storage partitions similar to a rooted phone's sd card. Now my computer will not recognize the micro sd card. Do I need the sdext and swap space, or can I do a complete fat32 or NTFS partition?

For me, I just use the normal Win format command to have a FAT32 partition.
I had on my ext. sd card a ext2 en een fat32 partition made for link2sd.
But i did not use the program so i deleted the ext2 part and the fat32 part and made a 32gd fat32 partition and formatted it.When i put the sd card in and i boot i get error messages like: android stopped, internet stopt and so on.
The tablet doesn't work anymore.
Sd card out, reboot without sd card no problems
Factory restet don.
Before no problems with sd card.
anyone an idea?
